Good evening. Beautiful day today with a high of 74...Spent a good part of the afternoon in the trainroom, working on details. Y'all make me hungry with all that good looking food. Looks like a food run and prescription pick-up on Monday. Also have to mail the sewer bill.

How 'bout dem Baltimore Orioles. 101 wins, best in the American League. Meanwhile, on Sunday Night Football, the KC Chiefs are putting a whoopin on the Gotham Jets.. 17 - 5 in the 2nd.

Small example of my efforts on the layout: View attachment 174754
Spent a good part of the day working on the Tilghman Street grade crossing. The PRR side is almost done. The Reading tracks get paved tomorrow, then the rest of the signage is installed and the crossing is opened after 5 years or dormancy. The Chester & Delaware River is a slow motion line, and nothing is ever ready before its time.

Karl: The pup, she's a little cutie! Good Luck with her.

Have a good evening, and a safe week.
Finally I'm able to see what your railroad is about. Tilghman street sounds familiar.

Good morning, all! The weather guessers are saying our heat wave will end this week. Temps to go to 80"s daytime and 60's at night. We'll see.
Yesterday's drive was nice and some new backroads found. They would normally be the long way around, but you never know when you might need an alternate route.

Snowman - I once heard, don't remember where, " I used to be angry because I had no shoes, till I saw a man with no feet"
Louis - Great story and share. It will always be your layout, so build it for your satisfaction.
Terry - IMO, good call on not wanting to leave a pet at home all day.
Willie - Some nice photos, as usual.
David - Like your ideas for puddles. As for dusty lights, that happens naturally on my layout, No dust bunnies though.

STAY SAFE
LATER

Afternoon All,

Started out the day with a walk at 74 F and slightly cool. After breakfast I did chores and laundry. After that I wired the 7 dwarfs into the buss and all work as the should (fixed signal aspect restricting). I did notice that all the lights were flashing on/off on the peninsula only. WTH? I checked all the rolling stock-no derailments, I then saw the problem. It was a RS3 with a box car straddling the entrance to a reverse loop. Easy fix.

Thank you to everyone for the photo likes.

Karl- Thank you. Stella is a real cutie.

Joe- I look forward to seeing your finished road.

Chad- That is strange looking.

David- Nice layout scene.

Hughie- Nice layout shot.

Mac- The Mikado is looking good with all the added details.

Lee- Thank you. Yes, it's still on my layout.

This is the REA at night.

I hope everyone has a good night.

about those sausages from the grill last night.

They're keeping most of the peppers from the wife's poor little patio garden. Add two cans of tomatoes, sauce, and some spices. Later I'll cook up some pasta and add it (penne or rotini is good)

There is one in Allentown also, spelling is slightly different. The freight house goes to the left of the crossing. In real life, the freight house paralleled the street. Even when they moved the Freight Station Clerks to the new building at Thurlow Yard, they were referred to as Tilghman Street. The freight station was eventually demolished, and replaced with a Fire Station. That was 45 years ago. Conrail closed Thurlow Yard, and moved the operation to Stoney Creek, while "Tilghman St. was relocated to Pittsburgh...

All this reminds me that the primer is dry, and I should paint the crossing sections asphalt color prior to installation.

Sounded like at first you're modeling area near Frankford Jnc. In Philly.

Good morning, it's 72 and clear.
My family and friends have suggested I find another dog, or even a cat, so I'm not completely by myself. While I wouldn't mind a 4-legged companion, I don't think it would be doing the pet any favors by locking them up either in this trailer or a crate for 9 hours a day while I'm off at work.

Well I understand that. I wanted to get a dog again but I chose to rescue 2 cats instead as they're independent enough. They have a lot of room to roam around in my 4 bedroom house. Only thing is I have their cat box downstairs in the laundry room and can get smelly at times even though I change it 2x's a day. I can't imagine having a cat box in a trailer let alone have a dog in a trailer. That's tough Terry. Maybe a small aquarium? fish or reptile? Birds are messy. I dunno, there are all kinds of small critters that can be had I guess....hamsters, gerbils etc....

I had to research for my latest book.

Florida does allow skunks as pets, but you have to apply for a permit first. And, because Florida is Florida, that can take several months.

Maybe I can get a picture of a goldfish…

It took 10 years and £4.2 million to restore her, and this happens, sodding brilliant.

On another note, I spotted this Rivarossi model, can anyone tell me what the round stack, of what looks like timber on the back of the tender car is or for, I'm assuming it's some kind of extension.

Troy- The basic permit (pet at home only) is free and good for 2 years. After the initial permit is granted you are covered during the renewel process. If you want to transport them or show them then it costs $ 50 per year. After the first one you are covered during renewel.

There's a form that you have to fill out with your disaster plan etc. You also agree to basic standards for skunk care.

We have both licences because we transport for the Florida Skunk Rescue and attend the skunk show yearly. It's 10/14 in Kissimmee this year, so close to us.

Then Terry knows who to hit up for his next permit and pet.

Just need to get a little engineer cap for the new "crew"
