Morning all,

Finally up to 25° and sunny, but getting cloudy later with a high of 30° expected. Supposed to possibly get as much as 1.5" of the white stuff tomorrow. Should still be clear when I get to work and starting shortly afterward.

Had a good Thanksgiving. Went to the Kansas City area to visit mom, who was back in the hospital. Had a flare up of her CHF, but they caught it early enough that she she didn't need to go into the IC unit.

We did get a real tree this year. They're not giving those away this year, but I did get it from one of the non-profit church groups, so at least some of the profit is helping others. It's a minimalist Christmas this year as the tree has the lights and skirt, but no real decorations. Grandkids put their party beads on the tree and it looks fine. Wreaths on the front lights, but no longer lite. I need to find some new 24" prelit wreaths, but unlit they look good during the day.

Need to go back and play catchup on the previous 12 pages of stuff I missed.

BB later, maybe tomorrow in the December Coffee shop.

Patrick, your wreathes are better than mine, I haven't put one out for years. I no longer do outside decorations. I did put candles and lights in the living room window this year!

Good day to all........covered in snow or not.

A bit more drafting work today to wrap up prelim "look over" set of drawings and details.

However, it seems I have been bit by the "spend money on trains" bugs.
Today I purchased a new, A - B set of Athearn Genesis F3, EMD demonstrator diesel locos. I made an offer to a seller on E-bay and they took it.
Nice thing about the demo units is you can run them in a consist with other road name units as a mix.

38 degrees here in west Texas today. 46 for Monday and 58-59 for Tuesday and Wednesday. At least the wind is not blowing crazy hard.

Willie.........train show in Plano Texas in January. At the rate I have been spending, I'll be broke by then. 🤪🤑🤑

I guess it got colder and snowed back home. My daughter sent a pic with like an inch or something. And I just checked the forecast and some days are overcast or cloudy and some are chance of icy mix or snow off and on. We’ll see what happens this week. Highs are listed as upper 30s to low 40s.

Here in Kobe my app says it’s 55F and partly cloudy. Yesterday got to upper 50s and maybe even 60 and mostly sunny.

All I know is that I’m wearing shorts today. Maybe the last day I can this year.

Up today is the aquarium. The Kobe Sea World Aquarium. Originally we wanted to go to the Osaka Aquarium but it’s almost 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get home by public transport (train) due to where it is and where we are. We were going to get a ride from my SisIL but that fell through. It’s still an hour but more doable.
 
Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving weekend. I spent the 4 days working on the basement. Getting all dry walled in and taped and mud. Still have the bath and one room to dry wall and mud.

Other than that not much going on in the hobby workshop. Did sneak out to the shop and run my switching layout and clean the track. When the basement gets done the layout will be down there.

Tomorrow back to work and I guess we’re supposed to get some snow or mix Monday. We’ll see if we get anything.

Hope everyone that travelled over the weekend got home safe.
