5' 10" dude comes out to 20mm in 1/87 scale.
(70 x 25.4) / 87 = 20.4

Ron? Somebody made a Ron? I used to watch his stuff, but he seems to have gone underground.
he's still producing, but slower. He retired from the ministry, but is still involved in his church and mission trips.

PS: You don't expect me to actually math do you?

I don't math.

That's the kind of stuff that should be done behind closed doors with soft music and no lights. Leave the tip on the dresser when you leave.

I made this for reference. Filled out some of the common sizes for a 5' 10" dude. If you want to calculate different height or scale, just add the numbers in the yellow boxes and it'll show up in the blue.

Had to zip it up.
Here's the link to Ron's Minime on the MiniPrints site:

And, yes, they'll paint the figures you order for a reasonable extra. Just click Yes in the Want it painted? option on the order page.

Good morning all!

A stormy morning (nothing severe) out there today in my area. Currently its a rainy 62F with the expected high of 82F.. The rain is not going to last allday. According to the radar it should be out of here by 7:30am. Sun should be out later this morning.

No plans for the day since most everything was done yesterday.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning Crew. We are just to the west and north of MIGALYTO’s map of weather. We are dry at 51f degrees going to 80. I alway look at the weather 2nd after viewing the time 1st and on WeatherChannel’s radar app it looked like Mike is getting weather pounded. But he says it’s not severe! We are about 98-105 miles distance from each other. We could use some rain as we’ve had just under 1” this week in my weather gauge

We have the granddaughter tonight. Her mom and dad will be partying and she didn’t want to stay home with her brother. He was looking for a place to go tonight with friends as he’s too cool for coming to his grandparents. His 3 buddies though are out of town for the weekend. The buddette and the team goalie now has a boyfriend not part of the group and has caused a shift in 12/13 year old group dynamics

I will update today or tomorrow my let’s build a paper mill and power plant threads. I have been working on things but now Terry wants me to move everything back into the train room . It seems I have been spreading portions of the build out into my cave and a few pieces in theater space. My friends when they come to the train room don’t mind so not sure why she is complaining !?!?!.

I grilled 7 brats yesterday and we ate 2. The plan today was hamburgers but I was told we will eat the brats. Sounds like lunch and dinner are planned. I will slice some potatoes both sweet and Idaho whites and grill them for dinner. The granddaughter has already said she wants grandma’s meatballs with the grilled potatoes! Lunch I will do a brat with chips, Terry normally does not eat lunch. 2 brats for the grandson if he changes his mind and comes to visit. He did cancel the slot car races for tomorrow because his partners are out of town. I told him we can race if he wants and have 3 racers come over but he wants to golf now. Told him no I’m not going out into the Memorial Day swarm of golfers.

I have no interest in the Indy racing today. Too many times attending entertaining clients who didn’t have a clue about racing but got a 3 day free weekend out of it. Like Vegas what happens in Indy stays in Indy.

Enjoy your day

Neighbor across the street bought an MB S500 this week. This is his 3rd car since moving in 5 years ago. I'm guessing he's going to keep it until this one is out of warranty. His money, his business. I've only owned 5 cars in my life. I usually donate them right around 200k-250k when something major is needing to be replaced. I hate buying depreciating assets.
It used to be when one bought a Mercedes, it lasted for 20 years, or more, before he would get rid of it. But like everything else being built now, the quality went down. Peoples minds chaned too, with wanting new constantly. I've had a few VWs for well over 10 years, should have kept at least one of them permanently, but i put on awful lot of miles on my vehicles.

The VW had 430K miles on it when i gave it away.

Good Morning All!
50F @ 64% clear. Guessers say partly, %0 chance of rain or wind. To be 75F starting at 1500. So far they only got the 'partly' wrong. We will see.

Wore myself out yesterday ... twice. Putting insulation on the ceiling of the Chicken/Goat house. Maria is cutting length, I get to climb a ladder, staple, move the ladder, staple, get on the upper floor deck ( storage ), back to the ladder .. rinse and repeat. It is a sloped roof front to back and squeezing in the back part is a test of my ability to scrunch up and get everything aligned so I can insert to fit then staple. Nothing is heavy just bending, twisting and swearing necessary. Oh and it is/was HOT up there, even with a fan blowing. Thought to myself 'Man, Ima go pay for today tomorra'. Yup paying. I will probably survive. After the insulation is done, OSB on the ceiling and walls - that is gonna be fun. Maybe be done sometime this coming week and Maria can have it for sealing and painting; while I move to the deck on the Train Cave. Somebody ( won't name names ) nailed the pressure treated top boards to the deck frame and they are a mess with twisted boards and heads sticking up everywhere. It also looks like the cinder blocks used for the center support posts have sunken into the ground a few inches so that needs to be dealt with. I am half tempted to remove it completely ( 8' x 16' ) and just build a porch/deck and steps for the thing maybe 1/3 of the size. Well, depends on those pier blocks and what I can do with them. What ever is easier.

Lil is now sucking almost a full Coke bottle ( ~12oz I think ) every time she is fed; 4 or 5 times a day. She is tasting everything and have even seen some grass being regurgitated and chewed on. Both dogs are 'herding' her of which she bitches quite loud. Typical goat antics - will take off running and jump as high as she can twisting and kicking her heals. Happened to see her the 1st time she tried - fell down, go boom! Suspect that in a few days she will try to follow the dogs when they run to places along the fence to bark at whatever. Fun, fun.

Good Sunday morning. 64°F out there and cloudy skies once again. I know there is a star out there somewhere on the other side of the overcast. I'd sure like to see it before Spring turns into Summer.

Missed the high of 81°F yesterday too. Made it to 76°F...thanks KMOV for such accurate WX forecasting. Just let me know when I can cut my grass between rain showers.

My big challenge today is going to be trying to take an 'after' shot of the P99 I dyed last Tuesday or Wednesday to check the color change. I am now convinced that it has darkened from the dye dip. It is definitely not the same green it was before dying, but not certain why it has become darker since the dip. I don't know much about dye or the material the frame is made from other than it is a fibreglass/polymer compound.

Tuesday, I'm expecting an SMA female to BNC female RF adapter for my new radio so I can judge its receive capabilities and the front end of the radio on an external antenna, and try several other whip antennas for improved longer range VHF reception.

May visit the train room today for some running time. Sort of depends upon the weather.

Have a great Sunday! Servus!

Good morning friends.

I've not been in for a long while. No real reason for that, other than I was finding too much time was spent on this debilitating, hypnotizing computer, and I wished to break that cycle. Now I get on with other things, of which I find I have far and away excessive interest.

A few recent photos of what I've been doing in retirement:

Still walking down to the creek everyday with my best friend 'Sky':

Still have my trains, although I seem to do what I feel like everyday, and the layout seems to be playing 2nd fiddle lately. Modern day grand-children don't seem to carry an interest in trains; for whom I started building it in the first place.

I'm still interested in plastic & resin modeling:

And, I'm still doing some oil painting, which has been my preoccupation over the past month. I'm working on this tugboat painting at this time:

I check in every now and again. Basically lurking in the shadows. Seeing what old friends are up to.

I'm very, very sad when I learn that one of our companions has left us. Sherrel used to email me some dirty jokes, and I quite enjoyed his sense of humour. He was a friend.

Anyway, I'm not going to take up too much of your valuable time. I fear, getting back into that loop where-in this PC eats my time away. Although, I do enjoy spending time with friends.

Time to get walking down to the creek. My dog knows exactly what time it is, and is beginning to push me.

See ya'll later.
