Conrail era... but why not have all hands and rifles on deck?

I've got four NIB Atlas engines: Conrail and BN, and two Kato that look lightly used, still in box, engines (GN F units A and B). Those I want good money for. I don't mind dropping a $20 or two on each engine,

Same with Track. It's mostly NIB. A few sticks that were caulked down, but very few. It's just a matter of finding the right price to move it.

The used rolling stock, and still in box building kits, those I expect to take a loss on. Or, I'll donate some to raffle prizes at the next train show.
Troy, when you decide how much you want for the GN F units, please let me know. I can get away with them showing up on my layout.

Tomorrow is the big Electrical Box replacement ... we'll be on battery power all day. Then I have to put the basement back together on Wed.

I'll try to get photos of what I've got on Wednesday and message you then or Thursday.

Caught this Cardinal right after lunch. Looks like he has his in his beak. Taken through my screened window.

Good evening all!

Worked all day, came home, ate dinner, cut the lawn, cleaned the cat box, rolled the trash hoppers to the curb and now I'm relaxing listening to the play by play on the fire dept monitor. Our local Battery Warehouse in on fire !

Yes the new medication is working miracles. I drove a new Corvette today and was able to exit without assistance!!
Wahoo!

Captain Steeve and Blancolirio did their videos on the EA-18G accident. Started watching Steeve's and turned it off after a few minutes. He's starting to get irritating in the way he does his presentation. I changed to Juan's channel and while he's starting to get more and more emotional in his shows, he's bringing up the same points that I think of. Maybe we're just two angry old men... :)

If I was a passenger on a plane and a pilot dressed like Steeve showed up as my pilot, I'd demand to be let off the plane. I'm sure he has to dress like a caricature to avoid accusations of impersonation, but it still grates.

Good evening folks, been kinda busy around here today. Errands for the house [survived the Walmartians] then lunch and worked on painting minis and mrr stuff plus decals. G'nephew came by just because, nice surprise. Took care of some bills and now relaxing. 125 N scale people and a N scale skylight arrived in the mail, so tomorrow will see them attacked as I clear other stuff out of the way.

Good aftrnoon all...........

I know I'm getting old when I'm worn out after going into town, dropping off two bags of garbage, hit the Dollar General for cat food and some other stuff, then to main grocery store ( the only grocery store ) for a regular restock. I did decide to try the new pizza joint in town....."Biggs Pizza".
Not too bad and not too expensive.....got a large to go.
Now my day is done and its nap time.

Whats in the air ??????
TLOC says his light bulbs aren't working as they should.
Kusojiji says his phone side buttons are not working as they should. And his hot water pot stopped working.
bnsf971 said ; And the wireless keyboard for my new-screen computer just stopped registering the "L" key.
I had to repace the remote on my ROKU a couple of days ago.
And today, I had to order a new thermostat for my central air/AC unit.
Chadbag says his wifes hair dryer doesn't get hot.
What the "L" is going on !!!!

I watched Juan Brown (Blancolirio) do a report on some aircraft disaster the other day. He said, in so many words ( poking fun at Capt. Steve ) that he ( Juan ) didn't need some mocked-up airport backdrop or a uniform with all the ribbons and metals to do his reports, that his YouTube videos were made possible through folks subscribed to his Patreon channel that appreciated his reports.

Gotta go....Im tired,

John

poking fun at Capt. Steve
I saw that one. I thought he was poking mentour as that's one I won't ever watch again.

Oh, and another strike against Steve, he cheap shotted the 737 as continuing issues, when an obvious airline maintenance guy mistake was the real issue with a module falling off. The 737 wasn't the cause. Gave me the impression he was a CNN contributor.

All made in China? My hot water pot is only 5 years old. The one before this one only made it 5 years as well. Wish I knew how to fix it back then.

It's kind of sad when the YoutUbe aviation channels have to poke each other in the eye. I take all aviation videos with a grain of salt. I like Captain Steeeve videos. He's a retired long time airline captain (AA). Also a former Navy pilot (P-3 Orion). Does he always get things right? No. No one does. His audience are the aviation neophytes and ignoramuses. He tries to simplify explanations so that complete aviation-ignorant people can understand. Watch him through that lens.

I watch Kelsey from 74Gear. Again, take what he says with a grain of salt. He's more opinion oriented etc. Different way of presenting stuff. Unlike Kusojiji, I like Petter from Mentour. Pilot/Now channels. While he's recently "retired" to do the YT stuff full time, he is also a professional Captain (I believe he was with Ryan Air and flies 737). His compatriot on the Mentor Now channel, Ben, also is a 737 guy. They have a lot of experience and they try and document everything and try and explain stuff so that you can understand events and the reports about events. Are they always right? No. They make mistakes. I've left comments on some of the videos pointing out certain issues. I still watch them when they come out.

There are a few other aviation ones I occasionally watch. Pilot Debrief, Mover & Gonky Show. Mover's personal channel. They give their opinions on things based on their experience. Are they always right? No. (Pilot Debrief is the one I watch the least of all those -- he is a bit fatiguing in style and so I only occasionally watch stuff that looks real interesting.)
