Some may disagree, but this is much, much, worse!

I didn't listen to to the whole thing. But it's a drag. But it's also not on classic rock radio. My statement on "worst song" was specifically "worst song on classic rock radio".

"Blinded by the Light" wins. There are a lot of worse songs on modern pop/etc radio and I am sure in the pantheons of music worse songs exist. But they don't get much if any airplay on the radio.

Taco Bell is great. While the "Taco Bell Blues" is a meme, unless you have no ability to eat more than oatmeal, its all just for the laugh.

I haven't been in a while due to the cost but when I used to regularly go I never had an issue. "Mexican" and S American food is one of the top 2 cuisines in the world. (Mexican meaning tex mex/ American "Mexican" / real Mexican from various parts for Mexico -- anything remotely related).

The other top 2 cuisine is Asian (not including Japanese). Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, etc. Japanese is great food but it's totally differently oriented so doesn't fit in the same overarching umbrella to the rest of them.

Now, there are all of other cuisines that get "honorable mention". Anything "Italian". American steak, beef, and home style is also great. "German" food -- sausages and beef nd pork and red cabbage and sauerkraut etc. ("German" really meaning "central european". Swiss, Austrian, Polish, and others are similar in some ways.). But the "Mexican/S American and Asian are the top 2. I'll die on this hill.

It's still on a lot of the classic rock offerings on Sirius XM
Every song can be found on Sirius XM. Unless you bought a car within the last 3 or 6 months, or you're a minority who actually pays for it, most people don't have Sirius XM.

One of our local classic rock stations was doing one of those "broadcast live" from a sponsor type things one afternoon. They were at the VW dealer in the south of the Valley and I drove not far from it picking up the kids, so we stopped and talked to the DJ working it. (He and another one from that station have since switched over to another station owned by a nationwide radio syndicate). Anyway, I asked him how they determined what songs to play and how "Blinded by the Light" ever got on the list. He said they would invite groups of people into a theater and play various songs for them and have them rate the songs. When new songs were proposed to enter the rotation they'd do this sort of testing to see how they did against the current line up. He said it was a big operation they periodically did to build their rotations. And of course "Blinded by the Light" somehow always tested well. My opinion of their audience went down that day. I was a regular listener for years (and was after that as well) but eventually moved to the other one I mentioned where this guy had ended up, once I learned that his popular morning counterpart had moved to this new station as well).

I am starting to revive from a very long day yesterday., 9 AM to 10:30 PM.
We left the house and picked up my daughter to drive to Huntsville, Alabama. My oldest grandson graduated from the University of Alabama - Huntsville with a Master of Science in Business Administration Analytics.
He is still working on publishing a paper with one of his professors that they worked on for the last year.
I try to not be too proud of him since he did all the work and sacrifice, but I did help a little along the way.

I did manage to go buy a new toilet seat today to replace one that broke at the hinge. It was like trying to take care of business on a slip n slide.

Name one.

"Blinded by the Light" is the worst, hands down, of songs on classic radio. (I'm not comparing it to modern songs on modern stations, which are probably worse).

Especially when they play the true long version... It drones on and on and on with its terrible music and droning.
HERESY YOU SPEAK HERESY.. but in all honesty blinded by the light gets the same treatment as nickleback in simply because everyone and their brother auntie and 5th cousin play it on repeat for 5 hours straight it seems.

Blinded by the Light doesn't really fall into the classic rock category to me anyway, it falls into the Bruce Springsteen crap era, which is all of his stuff.

Now, a classic rock song that is worse than that is Norwegian Wood.

Nearly 90F here in the DFW area today, was not ready for that at all.

@santafewillie Thought of you today while I was eating lunch in a Wendy's parking lot on the Southlake-Grapevine border and a Bentley SUV parked next to me doing the same. Had to laugh at that.

I think I heard that every hour on the hour back when I started my automotive career..........I hated that sone for the longest time!

I didn't listen to it either. Didn't have to because I've heard it before (all too many times...yeesh!).

Couldn't resist. Shoot me later.

[For the benefit of anyone confused, the song is the Wedding Bell Blues. Not quite Taco Bell, but you work with what you've got].

Note that "Blinded by the Light" was written by Bruce Springsteen. Ironically, it is the only Springsteen composition ever to reach #1 in the charts and it was Manfred Mann's version to do so. A couple of years earlier, Manfred Mann's Earth Band had a minor hit with another Springsteen composition, "Spirits in the Night". That's your music trivia for today.
Not a big fan of Bruce Springsteen the person.
However "Born to Run" and "Pink Cadillac" wre probably my favorites of his music.
Just a note : Pink Cadillac was only relased as 45 rpm record.

We could send in the Marines, but they are already there all around you...and with rifles pointed outward.

Never say die on a hill worth defending. You won't have to either in this case.

Several decades ago, one of the local radio stations changed their format to ā€œClassic Rockā€.
After the first 6 months of hearing nothing from the station except music from England circa 1970-79, Somebody asked the programing director when they were going to start playing Classic Rock. I guess that is the only place Classic Rock came from. After about a year of that, the station was sold and their programming format changed somewhat. Rock from 1970-1985, primarily British rock, but they did grudgingly play some other stuff.
I don’t think they ever recovered their listener base.

In honor of Cinco De Mayo I had lunch (Tacos) at Taco Bell! Got me a bag of Doritos Tacos with lots of hot sauce.

Final arrangements will be posted later!! :D :D :D :D
I quit eating at Taco Bell about 20 years ago after I saw about 5 fat roaches crawling over ground beef and beans on a steam table.
My first thought was how these critters managed the heat from the steam table.
My second thought was "I ain't eatin that crap". And then I left, never to return. You just can't "un-see" something like that.

Uh the eye to eye one that snowman just put up? haha (no offense). As soon as I heard the auto-tune, I turned it off.
