I'll give you another: "Nice Girls" (Eye-to-Eye) and Deborah Berg. "Wanna stay out late with those Ostrich-sized guys...". Uh...I'm not sure if I want to know whether being "Ostrich sized" is a good thing...or a bad thing. TMI, so if you know, don't tell me.

But when you hear it as "Wanna stay out late with those OSTRACIZED guys," it makes better sense.

In that division, its not going to be a heated race all the way till the last weeks of Sept.

The Cubs and Cards Have gone from 3-4 to first and second in short order!

Love the rivalry between these 2 teams!
Yup, although being a Southsider in Chicago, I am a Sox fan, it was easy becoming a Cardinals fan so I could cheer against the Cubs. I DO love Wrigley Field though. And it is much, much safer wearing a Cards hat there than a White Sox cap!

Yea, but I'm still looking forward to her being able to get herself to school and especially those 6am practices.

Hopefully with her being on honor roll and not male will help lessen the dent (no pun intended)!
When my daughter started driving a year or a year and a half ago (and I made her wait a year until she was 17 to be a bit more mature and show me she was) our insurance basically doubled. Each state has their own tariffs but when our son started driving the hit was about the same.

It is nice that they drive themselves to school and practices etc. I'll grant you that. More important though is the learning of responsibility and the maturity that can come when they're responsible for themselves. My daughter works as a life guard at the rec center a city or two over and so I have her contribute a minor amount towards her insurance and gas costs. Commensurate with what she earns. My son did the same and as he earned more his share of the insurance went up though never to what it really cost.

It’s still the worst song on the classic radio today.
Note that "Blinded by the Light" was written by Bruce Springsteen. Ironically, it is the only Springsteen composition ever to reach #1 in the charts and it was Manfred Mann's version to do so. A couple of years earlier, Manfred Mann's Earth Band had a minor hit with another Springsteen composition, "Spirits in the Night". That's your music trivia for today.

yeah, I wanted to work that fact in somehow but I don't like Springsteen and couldn't figure out a way to work it in in a decent way.

"Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers.
I just went and listened to that on YouTube. I'd rather listen to that than "Blinded by the Light". It's a typical Blues style and only 2min compared to the 3-hours (feels like) of "Blinded by the Light". I also don't remember ever hearing it on the couple classic rock stations.

Btw it seems Michael Jackson did a version:

And then there are the politically incorrect tunes, and in this case one all empowered women must truly loathe: Todd Rundgren. "We Gotta Get You a Woman."

The particular lyric that burns comes just after the 2:08 mark.

Even then, Rundgren was about as politically correct as Ted Nugent and Kid Rock are today.

Some may disagree, but this is much, much, worse!
Completely agree.
There's a lot of stuff from the 60's that seems quite dated compared to later offerings. Some of the Vanilla Fudge stuff for example.

It's still on a lot of the classic rock offerings on Sirius XM. First time listen isn't too bad, but it got overplayed in the 80's and 90's on the on-air stations beforehand. Kinda like the overuse of "Stairway to Heaven" in those days.
