You are a lucky man, sir. Glad for you.
Yes, God has richly blessed me. Thank you.
Good evening gang!
What the Heck was going on this morning? I tried accessing around 7 am. No joy, 7:30 around around 8 am. I got the message that
Willie referred to in his post. By then it was time to take the hooligans off for a Vet visit.
2 Dogs in the truck was not fun. One shakes like a leaf, the other wants to drive and humps around like a jet powered superball. After that little episode we arrived home around 11 am. The forum opened for me, but was slow as molasses. After a quick lunch of bratwurst I spent the next few hours washing and vacuuming the wife's car, my Colorado and the red S10 . Then a trip to HD and hanging out with the local impromptu car show that appears in HD's parking lot for 2 hours. Got home around 6 pm, rested a bit then went to the local VFD's carnival til around 9.
Now the forum is running fine, Why??
Ah, I thought it was a Madeline Kahn character...
I think you were remembering Lily Von Schtupp!
Wasn't sure that I was going to get through the door this morning, could be all of the guests!
I don't know if it was the guests, or did
BillT lock the door??
Oh well, excuse my gabbyness, Did I mention I had beer with those brats??
Wow, just looked up Cassandra Harris. Yep, a real looker. She died young, from the same thing that took Madeline Kahn of all things.
Her and Jill St. John both knocked my socks off back in the day.

Went outside and saw that more than half of the leaves on my garlic had turned brown. Must've been the heat from yesterday. So I pulled one out and it looks great. I turned off the auto water for it and will pull the rest (all 3 of them) tomorrow. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to wash the dirt off, so now it's drying on my egg rack in the house with the dehumidifier on. Also found out that I shouldn't have pulled it out, but dug it out instead.

Anyone up other than the Asian-Pacific contingent or the Bots?
took me five minutes to get in today. FLO! Wake up Mel. Last day of the month. Bacon's on me for everyone.
And tell Mel to stop re-using Coffee grounds. I don't care how expensive it is, time for real coffee. Wake the dead level of coffee.
And now for the second try to post. The bots are crazy this morning...

I had to think about that for a minute... haha
Sixty years ago today, I went on active duty in the USMC! I stood on the "Yellow Footprints" at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego CA and set out on the adventure of my life!
Bootcamp picture. I was 18.

Smiling was not an option.

Good morning gang!
48° under sunny skies, looking for a high today of 75°.
Took a few attempts, but I was able to get in this morning. I think we still need more of that bot spray.
BBL
Carpal tunnel maybe. I hope she feels better soon.

Right next to where I went for boot. Oh my, that was 42 years ago. That's the cr@p, here comes the drill SGT! Bend over!
Package store was nice. I asked if they could get Johnny Walker Blue Label. The guy asked if that was above or below Black Label. I told him it should cost about 6 times as much. He went in the back and told me he could get a box of 9 and sell for about $130 (this was in the early 90's). So I bought one bottle.
Years later, my buddy (rich buddy) is getting ready to retire and needed a stash of Blue Label. I told him to swing by MCRD and buy the other 8 bottles that were probably still there. He did.

In a few weeks it will be 37 years ago for me. Ft Dix NJ. I was on the split training option, so I went to basic
in-between my junior and senior year of HS,
What a dose of reality that was!
Good morning folks. 68°F/60°F at 0700 this morning. Willow seems to have made it though the night without problem or incident. We went outside first thing and she did her business. She finished her bowl of food overnight. She settled in OK last night and calmed down enough to lay down in front of the TV. She has quite a bit of energy. I'm not at all familiar with this breed other than to know they can be stubborn. I didn't realize they were this (or at least this one) energetic as well. I suspect she may just not be getting enough exercise.
I've never seen a dog visit the water bowl so much. I'm wondering how much she's actually getting vs. just making lapping noises in the water.
Nothing going on today. I expect I'll be spending time outside with Willow today if it isn't raining.
Have a great Sunday! Servus!
Good morning all!
I see the forum was a little wonky earlier this morning. Seems to have straightened out now.
Kind of a cloudy morning. Supposed to see the sun later this morning. Its 61F with a high of 79F. Might get some scattered showers
later this afternoon but the chances are only at 40%.
Not much happening today. Pretty much got everything done yesterday.
Have a safe day everyone!

I think we were already getting yelled at before the bus even came to a stop.

We boarded the bus from processing and they were talking to us like normal guys on the ride over. to the barracks.. I remember thinking this may not be to bad!
As soon as the bus stopped, that's when everything changed!
