as you get older it's harder to deal with cold and hot temps.
I can vouch for that! If I get a chill on my back, I will have problems! In the winter I keep the house at 68 all day and night. My cardiologist has advised me to stay out of the heat! In the summer. I set my AC to 74 and my old feet are always cold. We don't bother with the smart settings on the thermostat. I use BGE's budget billing, and I pay $264/month.

Thank you! Your smart house is interesting to me.

Merc is not Mercury. It's our German friends from Stuttgart, Mercedes...

Non-AMG sedans are regularly capable of 160mph plus (in their gentleman's agreement limited 250kph form -- higher in delimited form) and the AMG non electric ones are around 200mph top speed.

But more importantly they're engineered to go that speed and make it feel like you're going 60mph.

I had a small s$$ Mercedes C180 four banger as a rental in early 2000. It maxed out at around 135mph (yes I tested it). You didn't feel like you were going that speed until you got close to the top end. When you pushed it you started to get some vibrations and stuff but at 120-125mph it felt like you were going 60-70mph. And that's a "low end" 4 cylinder C class rental quality car.
...but it doesn't sound as cool as an AMERICAN V8.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto syndrome (hypothyroid) at 55. My hands are now prone to Reynaud's syndrome when it gets below 40, sometimes even with gloves on. I can't shoot at the outdoor ranges in the Winter. Our club has overhead heaters at the indoor 22 range.

We keep our thermostat at the same temps. My gas & electric combined was only about $165 last month.

Howdy all 84 and HUMID here today with storm warnings. Got some painting done and should have some cabeese show up today. Pretty much my last day to do anything productive on the RR front as we have to clean everything up for company coming. Y'all be good!
PS: GO CARDS!

Media is reporting George Wendt has passed away. He was Norm on Cheers.
Just read that on Facebook, so sad!

I am off to bed. Have to get up in 3 hours for a shower and last minute packing of computer and stuff like that. Been trying to get all sorts of last minute things done. Letters written for insurance and billing issues , emails sent, garage cleaned out enough so the cars fit, picking up a rental to get us to the airport (much cheaper than an uber or service with all our [empty] cases etc ;) ).

I'll pop by once in a while but most of the pics etc will probably be once I get back.

i mean i drink tea, but iam not from the UK ;)
I also drink beer (maybe sometimes to much). but about baseball i heard, to watch it live its more of a feast and drinking, because the games are taking so long :D but this could also be a myth iam not sure :)
Maybe the other folks know if they do it for baseball, they probably do, but for football, they do tailgate party in the stadium parking. Eat and drink there because you can't take it inside and it is buku bucks inside. Eat too much, drink too much, drive home trashed.
