My asian greens got hammered by slugs, they tend to go for the centres rather than the edges, I tried tree guards, fail, slugs just come up underneath and the extra sg]hade whilst warm has caused bolting, I will let them go to seed and allow self seeds for the winter, meantime I have bitten the bullet and added either zuccinni or butternut to fill the space instead, all depending how bad the Asian greens go I may rip out and add heritage sweetcorn - which I have seen being sold 10 precooked (so now growing your own) for 45 uk pounds!! For ten, sponsored keeps popping up, luckily I bought 20 seed 2 years ago and have recycled the seed very successfully. My main issue is despite catching and storing winter water I am expecting a hose drought which will mean hand watering using minimum watering slowly off ibcs which will consume a lot of time, sighs, again I tried the tree guards and the shaded seems to have seriously slowed development, all tree guards are now removed, live and learn still
