Days Gone Bye!
Have not posted a picture in a while! How about this one?
Durango & Silverton.....?
Apple seems to be doubling down on their MFA edict. My iPad spontaneously deleted all my passwords this morning with the latest update, and the only way it will allow me to save my passwords is if I enable MFA, or enable and enter an 8 digit letter and number combination with every password request. And enter that letter and number sequence every time I need to use a saved password.
I do NOT have MFA enabled. Apple wants me to do so, and is resorting to more and more draconian measures to force me to do so. I only needed to lose everything in my account once because I lost my phone to vow to never ever let that happen again.I am not sure I understand. I've never seen anything like you describe (and not everyone in our family has MFA turned on). I'd like to understand this. Your passwords are stored in the keychain, which shouldn't be "deleted".
Can you share some (perhaps redacted info) screen shots of what you are seeing? (You can send them to me by DM if you are interested. I'd like to figure out what is going on)

Ever.
“Apple uses 2 factor authentication to keep your data safe. Upgrade your security now to continue using all the features of IOS”.I understand you don't have it or want it. I am trying to understand what you are seeing because of it.

All of my passwords have been removed from my iPad since it installed iPad OS 15.4.1.
In order to use keychain, and get my iPad to remember my passwords, I HAVE to enable 2FA.
I still have 14.8.1 on my phone, it still (sort of) remembers my passwords, and if they think I’m going to upgrade that, they’re crazy.
Good luckGood morning. I was ready after the shower and shave this morning at 4:30 for surgery. Just waiting for Terry. Then I saw the date today is 5/4 and my surgery is 5/5.
It in the 50’s with beautiful sun but high winds. Heading into the 60’s later. Too breezy for the south deck today. I don’t care about tomorrows 40’s and rain.
Just a day for me to relax and be bored.
enjoy your day

Ken ya remember drown-proofing? Apparently my bone marrow is/was denser than most; no ..extra.. air bubbles and I would sink as others floated face down while lifting their heads to breath. Told me if i was ever on ship and it got shot full of holes and sunk to swim to the bottom and run for shore.Cold swimming pools. When it comes to cold water, I consider what the victims of the Titanic experienced.
While in the Corps, I did swim qual one year in 51 degree water. Not quite what they had in 1913 but still cold enough to make me do just the minimum.
When this first happened, I tried to log in here, using my saved password. There were no saved passwords shown, and when I tried to open that area, it was completely empty. I've been able to manually add the password for here and our sister forum, FB, and a couple of other places, by adding the required passcode onto my iPad. I may as well not bother, because the multi-character passcode is as complex, as far as entering it, as the password it is storing. They have built in MFA for other sites so you don't have to use a 3rd party MFA app like the Google one or Duo. I have not tried theirs (I use Duo for sites that require it).
I thought you meant Apple was forcing you to turn on MFA on your AppleID (in order to log in to Apple) and had erased your passwords. I don't think your passwords are actually erased but it is interacting with the various sites MFA system.
