Willie I was just looking to keep the phone at whatever percentage of charge it's at when I started the trip. Does your phone do that or do you also use a wire to connect to your phone. Actually, I only have my music play list on a standard USB flash drive. I have to buy a usb to usb-c adopter or a usb-c flash drive today. I'll see if my phone holds the charge on my way to the hospital today. If it does that would be great then I can then pug in my playlist usb-c flash drive to the Honda usb-c auxiliary port and listen to my playlist while driving. Swal

I made a discovery earlier this weekend. Most states allow you to renew tags and driver licenses online, and pay with a credit or debit card. The state I live in is no exception. In my state, you can either go to the state's website or your local county's website to perform these tasks. Illinois charges 3% if its done online. Of course Illinois picks your pocket at every chance they get!

Its still worth it for me to renew online. Our DL faculty is small and it always seems to take me at least a 1/2 hour to do it. There is usually
2 behind the counter helping others and 1 sitting in the back doing nothing. There is a separate line for license renewals but the 1 sitting
in the back doesn't seem to bother until there is a crowd.

I will have to look next time to see if there is an e-check option.

You should be able to. You’ll need to enable Car Play or Android’s version of it, if you have an Android phone. I can stream what’s on my phone, or I can stream through an app on the phone, wirelessly or plugged in.

No, only if there is a sign some ways from the crossing for the engineer, or, at some grade crossings there is a flashing yellow light some ways from the crossing for the engineer. If this light isn't flashing, it tells the engineer the gates or lights aren't working and the horn or whistle must be used.

Other than that, the Germans expect you to be smart enough to look for a train before crossing the tracks. Some very busy tracks only have a warning sign in suburban and rural areas.
 
Isn't great when you find a tidbit of information that you weren't expecting. I knew my maternal grandfather sang light opera. When he arrived in America he lived with relatives in Providence, Rhode Island. He sang on a radio station in Providence as the "Wandering Minstrel". In an effort to find out more about him in that period of time, a source directed me to another source to yet another. Lo and behold I found he had actually cut 2 records in 1918. And the best part, one of the sources directed me to a library that had a digital copy of the records, both A and B sides. The sad part of this story, at least for me, was my mother had passed before I made this discovery. The recordings were made years before her birth, so I wonder if she even knew he made them.

And the weather is finally nice enough 68°f and sunny, so I got the throw rug out that Lord Fuzzbutt peed on in protest for me taking away his favorite litter boxes. How was I supposed to know?

The run was initially cleaned, but I wanted to get it outside for some good hosing and oxy-clean. Man, watching the rug cleaning channel on YouTube is more cathartic than doing the work myself. I hung it on the fence after applying the Oxy to both sides, and used the drywall knife to scrape the surface to get the water out. It took at least 5 rinses and scrape cycles to get it to run clean. And that was a newish rug. Less than a year old.

Now write it all down, so the information is not lost.

Write down 'milestones' in your life.

Then hand it all to a young member of your family. They are the ones who will be interested.

I wish I had asked more questions about my family when I could. So much information is lost thinking it is useless.
The difficulty of searching and nobody to ask.
