For those of you who like Raising Canes.

This is the Post Malone Raising Canes. Post Malone lives near here and helped design the store before it opened and I guess he is often seen here.

I’m waiting for my daughter to finish her driving test. Across the street

We've had schizo gas prices lately around here.

It's been going between around $2.8x and $3.09 at the national and regional branded stations. Walmart, Costco, Murphy, and independents typically lower.

In the last couple weeks it was at $3.09, then dropped down to $2.89 then $2.85 for a day. Then it popped back in one afternoon to $3.09 for a couple days and then dropped to $2.85 for a couple days then back to $3.09 and now $3.08. All in about 2 weeks(?). It's not like a gradual drop or anything or increase 10 cents at a time over a few days to get back up, like it usually does. It's the change all at once and it ping pongs back and forth. Interestingly the last time it went from $2.85 or $2.89 back to $3.09, Walmart DROPPED from $2.72 to $2.69. (It was back to $2.72 a couple days later).

It's mid 40s. The weather guessers said that it was supposed to snow today. An inch or three with up to 6 inches on the east side of the valley. Most snow was for rest of I-15 (which goes down the middle of the valley). But it's been just raining lightly off and on and sun poking through here and there. The Cane's pic above is from the east side of the valley. No snow. Not even particularly cold.

We did have a "cold front" come through last evening/night and it was wicked windy all evening and into the night so I figured we would see the snow a little...

What is a post Malone pray tell??
What Terry said. He is a singer. He was rap/pop but is now doing country. Not my cup of tea, really, but he is personable. I saw him on "Good Mythical Morning" many years ago and didn't know who he was but he seemed really personable. I've since seen a lot of interviews and stuff with him and he even posted a video on YT of himself trying to play "Cliffs of Dover" on his guitar (like anybody would whose trying to learn it).

He did do a collaborative song with Ozzie. That was ok.

But he has a house in Utah and is often seen around town and is supposedly very gracious with people. And he likes Raising Canes and when they opened this new on on his side of the valley he designed it and he had his own signature combo you could order. I've actually never eaten at that Canes but happened to notice we were across the street while I was waiting for my daughter to finish her driving test. (She passed).

. (note the original Eric Johnson is much faster -- no disrespect to Post)

Good evening! Need some tea and cake here, quick.

I popped to my local model rail store this morning for a rattle can of varnish, they are also the UK importers for Piko so I wound up coming home with one of these beauties too;

Been fascinated about the prototype since I first read about them thirty years ago, I did have the old Rivarossi model which I made a half hearted attempt at doing up but this was a must buy, and a very rare occasion that a new acquisition on the roster isn't an old second hand wreck for restoration.

It's gorgeous!!!

Trouble is, my modelling budget for the month and a bit is well and truly gone!!!

Good afternoon to all...........

We have a Raising Canes fried chicken place in Wichita Falls Texas. I tried their chicken tenders but was not impressed. For me, Chicken Express tenders are better but I'm not a big fan of them either. In fact I have pretty much gotten away from fast foods altogether. But I do stop at the Taco Casa on occasion.

I have hit E-bay for a refund on the item that made it all the way from Canada to Los Angeles, L.A. to Dallas, Dallas to Ft Worth Texas but then disappeared. Last tracking date posted by USPS is March 5 with all notes after that saying, "Item in transit, arriving late". Message should have read....."Item in cyberspace, arriving never". I told E-bay that the seller should not be held responsible for a refund as the USPS lost the package. E-bay has some kind of money back guarantee on lost items. We shall see.

Just doing the best I can with what I got today.

Take care....John

I ordered a new laptop sleeve through Ebay. The seller is based in Austin, TX, and shipped the day I purchased it. March 5th, or so. It's now March 13th, and the package hasn't made it out of Austin.

Not a beer drinker myself. I did live in Germany (lower Bavaria) and work in Munich for 18 months.

While Austria is technically a separate country much of it is really an extension of Bavaria from a language and culture standpoint. At least western Austria.

Anyway I had not really thought of Germany being a warm beer place, like you associate with the British.

So I Googled warm beer in Germany and Austria and it came up with this as one of the answers.

(One of those wordy online articles that doesn’t say much but it did answer the question)

It seems that the answer is it depends on the type of beer. Wheat beers (like is popular in Bavaria) are served warmer while Lager and Pilsner are chilled.
