Good morning all. A large coffee please Flo. A dry day with a breeze blowing.

Yesterday our younger granddaughter announced she is staying at our house at the weekend. It isn't her turn, but I think she has overruled her brothers. Mindst' you, I am not getting involved. Never argue with a lady (no matter how young) when you know you will lose.

Off to see to Dawn. Back later.

Morning all,

The to local grandkids came over and bailed grandma out yesterday. Oldest granddaughter spent the night and both girls were up when I left. Grandson had video games he wanted to play last night.

Currently 45° going for a high of 77° later today. Possibility of thunderstorms this evening into the overnight, but anything really heavy supposed to be to our north and east.

Got notified by HR that I have 42 minutes shy of 3 wellness days to use. Based on how you do on the various health challenges, you build points that they then use to reduce your health insurance cost for the next year. If you do well enough, they also convert some of your sick leave to wellness days. You can use these like vacation time. Great, more time off with no time to use it...first world problems.

Good Morning All. Mostly clear and 61°, aiming for 80° later today. Only saw 75° yesterday. Overnight thundershowers are in the forecast, to continue through Saturday, not expected to cool off until Sunday night.
I'm pretty sure that winter has now passed by us here. It's been a mild season. There were only three days when the temperature did not get above freezing, Jan 14-16; and our last freeze was on February 18. Historical average is 6 days completely below freezing and the last freeze around March 20. We had only minor snow flurries one morning, but the air temperature was 36° that day. This is how I like the winter season to be.

Today will be almost the same as yesterday, with plenty of outdoor tasks to accomplish. Certainly getting my daily dose of Vitamin D. I did fertilize and mulch the green pea row yesterday, today it's the broccoli/lettuce/spinach row to do. I also split some oversize logs still left from the large tree that I had removed in the fall of '21.

Out in the train shed, I assembled the shed and did the roof.

It's a cardstock roof with strips of painted tarpaper added on. I deviated from the original instructions which called for vertical strips because I like the look of horizontal ones better.

Patrick - While that's crazy about the tiller, I have noticed that on more than a few things in the last couple of years. Not just Lowe's, but Best Buy, Home Depot and Tractor Supply among others.
David - Continued best wishes for Dawn from me. I also do not tolerate duplicate numbers on my rolling stock. I also agree about the collectables, everything of mine is on the layout except a few pieces of rolling stock that are out of my era. I have however, retained all of the boxes stored in the attic of the train shed.
Mac - That truck looks like it could plow the road ahead rather easily. It would not be allowed in Texas under current statutes. Our law states that "the clearance between any part of the vehicle other than the wheels and the surface of the level roadway cannot be less than the clearance between the roadway and the lowest part of the rim of any wheel in contact with the roadway."

Y'all have a great day.

This truck most likely has air ride on all axles and it was lowered down when parking. I don't see this making like that into good old Joisey with that low of a bumper😉

Good Morning All!
50 degrees and looking for 71 later with presently overcast skies.

FLO - A large cup this morning - I have a doctor appoint on the screen.
We will see if they have learned anything.
I'll let you know this afternoon what they say?

CURT - I am praying for you. This business you have going on is "strange" to me?
Hope you have a good day!

Good morning everyone!

Happy hump day! Got to take the coffee to go this morning.

It off to the dentist shortly for the 6 month routine check-up. Lets hope its routine. Haven't decided if I'm then going to venture off to the DMV to get my CDL renewed or wait for another day. I have till May to get it done, but its kind been gnawing at me to just suck it up and go do it.

Have a safe day all!

Good morning All!!!!
Loved the picture Bill!!!
I'm seeing Flo give me that quizzical look and I agree.
Not sure what I want, but will start off with world peace, two steam locomotives going full speed on the same track, a wild pony tied to a bronco post, going in circles on a short rope, two clowns in a 12 clown car and an "Everything" bagel, toasted with butter and cream cheese.
Oh, and a coffee too.
You know Flo, with your hands on your hips, you look like an hourglass. :)
What? Oh yes. Please reserve that knuckle sandwich for somebody else.
Where's Willie sitting, I'll just be over there...... :)

Here's another cool truck i cought several days ago when picking up a load. I asked the driver if i can photograph it, since he was in the truck.View attachment 183854
How i like cabovers😁View attachment 183855
Frieghtliner, late 90s i assume judging by the modified grill.

Road Haulage trucks. Love them. I have been associated with them most of my life. As a young lad taken to Liverpool or Hull. Then Newcastle and the North East of England. Sometimes to Scotland. They were really special. No proper beds in cabs those days. I had to have a job being around road haulage. Got one in a Transport Office and rose to the position of Transport Manager.

Met many drivers over the years. Many a tale we told over a glass of whisky or three.

Thanks for posting

It takes almost nothing to renew it, i'd keep it. Just in case for winter snow you can always do a part time gig snow plow driving. Not sure how it is in your state, but in Pennsylvania there are lit up signs every winter which invite CDL holders to drive salt and plow trucks in their respective areas.
