Good morning All!!!
Interesting blueprint Bill!!
Hello Flo!!!
Some kind of breakfast sandwich for me please.
And a large coffee, triple Irish cream.
Woke up in a mood. o_O 😊
Yeah! I trust your judgment.
Something delicious with a hashbrown in the center.
Maybe a jalapeno or two for spice.... :)

New LSWR wagons out of the box with a light dusting of powders to remove the newness sheen.

Now in the workshops to have new fleet running numbers. I do not like wagons having the same numbers.

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 53° here this morning. Another beautiful day in store with 76° predicted for this afternoon. Rain supposed to happen starting Thursday.

Busy day yesterday, as I caught up on household duties. Had to do the bed linen laundry that I forgot to do Sunday, along with kitchen duties. Later I grilled a Rib Eye for supper. Nice to be able to grill in the daylight again, instead of just the porch light. First up this morning is to empty the dishwasher. More mowing today, after I took a day off yesterday. I'll also be spreading some organic fertilizers on parts of the garden before then covering them with grass clippings for mulch. It's my combo recipe of blood meal, bone meal and wood ashes...technically it works out to a 10-10-8 fertilizer.

Well, crap! The granddog just threw up on the kitchen mat. Excuse me while go and attend to that!:mad::mad:

Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued on with both the cemetery headstones and the tool shed. The cemetery will be put on temporary hold and I will just put a half hour or so in every few days until I am closer to where I want to be.

Eventually there will still be blank areas for future resting places. I have additional headstones cut and painted, it's just a matter of when I place them. It turned into a slightly bigger project than planned and I don't want to become bored and frustrated. Besides, I have trees laying about all over the place that I intend to plant while working on the tool shed.
That's coming along as well, here it is after painting and again after the windows were installed.

Curt - Best wishes and prayers for your current afflictions, which seem to be mounting.
Kurt - About the only tongue-in-cheek name I have on the layout is this law firm.

Everyone have a terrific Tuesday.

Good morning from a temporarily warm So. Central Wisconsin. 48f degrees now heading into the 70’s. Thursday and Friday will be back into the mid 40’s for highs.

Another walk in the woods with Terry today before lunch. Yesterday was the 1st time in 2024 because of weather and my knee issues. Felt good to be wearing shorts and a tee shirt instead of light Winter gear.

Terry did ask yesterday if I want to go if the UW Badger women qualify for the Final 4 in Durham, NH A week from this Saturday. She had already made the decision when the season started we weren’t! It’s not easy to get to. Driving is less than 1200 miles but 18 hours which is ridiculous. There are no convenient airports so, I going to research it this morning…

I have my Hiawatha order in and paid for. I will stop and pick it up tomorrow as we are traveling bye to see a couple friends Wednesday. What I couldn’t get at Hiawatha I ordered online at Scalehobbyist.com. Scalehobbyist.com has great prices but shipping is $9.95 so I need to order enough paints to make the shipping cost worthwhile.

Sherrel we are pulling for you!

Good 28F Morning!

Kriegslok - That tractor must be a warm weather vehicle. There's no-way that very low, very expensive looking bumper would survive the wavy, frost heaved highways of the north.

Sherrel - I'm truly sad you are suffering through Chemo. - Head up; staying in good spirit will give you greater strength.

Curt - Your rash story reminded me of being in Alaska in 1978, and suffering with an itchy rash for 3 months. At the time, I thought it was scabies, but, turned out to be just nerves, or a mental affliction. I lived in a wall tent, so it was tough living. Hope you can conquer the affliction soon; praying for you!

Jaz - I didn't think Europe got much snow.

Willie - Love the colour choice on the tool shed.

David - What do you use to remove the old fleet number from a wagon, without damaging the finish?

On local FB ask-away, someone asked the question: Is there a local HO railroad club? I didn't know anyone else locally, was interested in the hobby. - I answered their question. We'll see if it goes anywhere.

Have a wonderful day!

Flood Alert. There was no such thing. Pure scaremongering by the Environmental Agency. Just received another Flood Alert. The sun is shining.
You forget that invariably the rain has already fallen upstream of you and is heading in your direction via rivers and streams, it may be sunny all day where you are you can still get flooding later.

But you can always do what this farmer did.

Yeah, he is probably just driving out west in that rig.

Any water we get runs downhill to the river. Mindst' you the roads are terrible for holding the water. There are very few drains to allow the water to escape. Roundabouts are the main places water cannot escape.

Nothing fancy. I have various colours of paints. A suitable colour as the vehicle is used carefully paint the number/s out that are not required. Then weather the vehicle.
If a new number altogether, paint the old one out. Renumber, then weather.

Close up inspection it is noticeable, but on a running session not so. Seeing wagons with different running numbers is a thing I like.

Amazingly the deepest snow I have personally seen was in London when one year drifts caused sone cars to be buried under snow. Heavy snow in England is rare, but in London it was like serreal to see this.
Scotland on the other hand gets plenty of snow, we rarely even see more than 4 inches, if any At all.

Agreed, the other half did these, he patiently cleaned of the old then added the new transfers
