Another happy fiber internet customer here. The best thing we did was fire our cable company and switch to fiber internet last year!Got to get a big river card so I can order my new wifi router for the house. Fiber internet is now ready to be installed. The joke called the local cable company is now advertising fiber internet as well, however if you read the fine print, the part between their service and the customer connection point is via coaxial cable. That makes it cable internet not fiber.
I've been watching a lot of scale modeler videos on painting WW2 tanks. I found one that would be of interest to this crew. Martin from the NighShift channel on youtube paints well. AND he does awesome little dioramas for his models. Including painting his static grass. Yep... to see how, check out this vid. It's about 15 min, and starts with the diorama process post-tank painting.
Not your fault Terry.Dammit. I just spent the last 3 and a half hours trying to find my dog. I got home from work, opened the door, and she took off as soon as the door opened. I tried following, chasing her, calling her, driving trying to find and catch her, but she took off like a shot. And she hasn't been here long enough to know this is where "home" is. I really hope she is found, though I hadn't even had a chance to get a license, or start any kind of process of documentation. She does have her harness, so maybe if she's found, whoever finds her will know she's not a stray, and give her a good home. That's all I've got for now.
Maybe give yourself a break Terry. The dog had a crate, and I had bought a doggie bed to put in the crate. She seemed less unhappy there, with the door open, on her bed. I've decided if she doesn't return, I'm not going to try to find another one. If there is a positive to this experience, I haven't had the dog long enough to form a bond with her. And that's not a very positive thing to take away from this experience.
My wife did PT for 6 months or so but is way past that now. Her balance is pretty much non existent, and there is very little strength remaining on the left side, to the point that leg never really gets off the floor anymore. In short, it has been a text book case of supranuclear palsy. The MRI, symptoms, and progression all match perfectly. The only remaining unknown is how long she will be able to stay here. Part of that diagnosis is increasingly difficult swallowing, something that will eventually result in a feeding tube and will likely be beyond my ability to deal with. She is already experiencing problems with that.I know this sounds dumb but what are the bottoms of her shoes like, sounds she needs better gripping so she get a bit of help as she struggles with her balance, flat shoes can be slippery, rubber ones especially with grooves on normally are better.
she can try an exercise to help her balance
one stand near a strong piece of furniture so hands can help balamce
then see if she can stand on just one leg, and / or the other
if she can she should carefully progress to seeing if she can stand one hand one leg for a number of seconds, if she notices one leg is better than the other,
that could be the problem
she can try this each day for a few minutes, strengthening the legs
fyi after I broke my ankle and dislocated my knee I had this exact issues
, two months off my feet, and these exercises helped me get my balance back, I can know freestanding to put my trousers on without fear of fallinf]g flat on my face.
if she can see a physio, without laying through the nose, they might be able to see and find why her balance is. so poor, best of luck.
fyi walking around in socks is not good, but the more expensive slipper socks with grips are much safer.
------- so all that is left is try to make it through each day as best one can.
When washed properly it should be no problem. My former Jetta with 414K miles has very few rust spots. In the Northeast, anything more than 5 years old is a rusted-out hulk from the road salt. Unless DOT has found a non-corrosive thing to keep ice off the road.
I still question my sanity level for getting that car...then again i've been questioning that as far as i remember, as have several other peopleKriegslok. Nice Audi, do you know what they cal the import tax on those cars?
Audi duty
Goodnight all!
Back in the old country people used to throw ashes from the fire place, or stove. I still do that since i have a wood stove, plus i have my own water well and wouldn't even think of putting any chemicals in the vicinity. In the reporters defense, most non scientific people think of salt as ONLY being sodium chloride.
I try to avoid salt on the driveway but use some sparingly when the ice is bad as the driveway is short and steep (though not like some of the memes you see and I don't know why the city approves these). I think Calcium Chloride is the most concrete friendly of the road salts?
Ever buy something you absolutely don't need?
