Good mornin'. Looks like the humid season has finally found us. The last few weeks had been mostly rain, but we had a 3 day dry streak so I could turn the dehumidifiers off and open the house up. Now, the guessor sites are showing high humidity at night as well, so I'll be buttoning up the house for most of it.

Planning on the commissary run today and then move the pond from the back to the front of the house in preps for the exterior wall work coming up. Then tomorrow its off to see the new eye doc hospital - not looking fwd to that. I should go look for that new fangled face mask...

Good evening gang!

Got a round of thunder coming this way too. Radar shows a line if storms from Northern Virginia to upper New York due to hit here around 8:30, give or take. Considering the storms elsewhere in the country I believe that Mother Nature is off her meds again!

1 thing of note' at 91° the dog doesn't want to play fetch.

Once the thunder comes, she'll be hanging in the basement with me. The cat will sit in the window and watch the lightning. So is the cat brave or stupid?

Everyone, be careful out there!

First storm watch has been issued by NWS. It cuts Missouri in half diagonally extending into Illinois, but it's one county north of here and we're not included...yet. There are warnings nearly the entire length of the front across MO and IL.

Might be plain thunderstorms by the time it gets here.

Mike, if you are where I think you are, you have a big red bullseye over your area. Stay safe up there.
Yea, its starting to get active, but no where near as active as Bloomington/Peoria area.

They are getting hammered!

Well, made the Searcy run today, went into Zaxby's and discovered we were behind 2 buses of starving teenagers...
So we went to a place called Slim Chickens, which turned out really well. Gonna listen to the Cardinals game now, did get a primer coat on the WS Bank I built last night and it was so humid out I have had to bring it indoors to finish drying. Expecting to get the Southern edge of the storms being tracked across Missouri. You guys have a good night and be safe.

We have Slim Chickens around here as well. Very similar to Zaxbys. I haven't been in a while but I liked it.

It was a really good lunch, my wife loves their chicken strips. Have to laugh at myself, went to Hobby Lobby with a list of stuff. Top item was clay...guess what I forgot. Anyway, got home and the Missus ordered it for me with Walmart + app. It will get here next week, an annoyance and maybe I will pay more attention next time.

Well, the guessers are wrong again, imagine that. All of my sensors outside are reading 60% humidity and not the upper 80's as they put on their interweb sites. So, turn the dehumidifiers off and open the windows again. Refresh the air (even though I have 24 hr air exchangers throughout the house) and stop wasting electricity.

I retired in 2017, within $200 a month of when I was working. As my Wife said, I was spending that in lunches! I was planning on waiting one more year, it would have been break even and it would have been working for $200 a month, dealing with sex offenders and high risk parolees. I was gone like a shot!

Anyway tonight I putzed around on the layout working with some buildings I had finished up enough to see how they would [or if] they would work. It made some changes work, and the place is even gaining a White Castle!

Got a couple of n-scale cases in. Kato 10-215 for my diesels. Tomix KIHA fit perfectly.

10-214 for my old commuters.

The rest of my stuff has to be in the cases that don't have the foam so that the plastic cases that the models come in can be inserted. Wanted to get away from them, but the locos have too much stuff that might get jammed up. Wheels, pantographs, whatever else.
