After stressing/worrying/waiting for my loco from the UK to show up, it has finally made it to Japan. I called Japan Post this morning and got the normal line of can take 2 weeks. It took 7 days to get here, which is longer than I normally have to wait. One package has now taken over a year... (I got a replacement for it but still keep an eye open for it, just in case). Decided to check status just now, and saw the update.

So, now if USPS could get my stuff here, that would be nice.

Which reminds me.

Those of you looking at purchasing SpaceX stock. Remember that Musk merged SpaceX and xAI

xAI is the one that the other AI groups are calling out for safety concerns:

You might recall that there were some strong ethical concerns about it's image generator "undressing minors"

and it adopted the persona of "mecha-Hitler"

You can invest your dollars where you like, but I won't be purchasing that stock.

Good morning Crew and all those upset Ai is not 100% accurate.

Dental appointment (6 month cleaning) in 33 minutes, it might take me 8 minutes to get there depending on traffic.

Yesterday was a weather roller coaster. Humid but otherwise gorgeous before 1:30 and then boom the fun began. The severe 3rd act was a bust at 8pm but the very needed rain sure is helpful. Just over 2.5” in the rain gauge in about 3 hours of total wetness. Today it is possible we might again get the severe weather at 2pm. Last day of school for both grandkids

Not sure about the rest of the morning. Thursday is usually brunch out somewhere but Terry wasn’t feeling the best at midnight bedtime. No it wasn’t a headache!!! Just overall blah which now that I write has the same affect as a headache.

The trip to Pasadena, San Diego and Vegas is set to begin 6/30 on United. No driving for this trip. Plan is to be gone 3 weeks.

Enjoy your day

It’s not a great buy unless because the IPO standards were lessened and you just want in. No voting rights and no class action or investor lawsuits allowed that were added into the amended info prospectus. For day trading it could be a great deal or for those who will buy and hold it for 25 years. It’s not even a dividend stock at this time

Good morning. It's clear and 72.

The workers comp insurance was finally able to get an appointment for me to see an orthopedic doctor about my finger. Monday afternoon. I broke the finger nearly 2.5 months ago. I'm glad it wasn't anything life threatening.
I think I told you it took WC 6 months to approve my shoulder surgery back in 2011. The MRI showed a split labrum and detached biceps tendon and it still took them 6 months.

Good morning all!

A fairly pleasant morning after yesterdays storms. Sun is out and winds are calm. Currently its 67F with the high supposed to top out
somewhere around 81F. More storms move into the area early evening and some are supposed to be severe.

Todays agenda is laundry and general house pick up. I also have to drain excess water out of the pool. I am way overfull after all this
rain and the skimmer mouth is pretty much totally covered.

Not much else going on at the moment, lets hope it stays that way!

Have a safe day everyone!

78°F/74°F this morning. Carbon copy of yesterday starting out. Expected to see 95°F today at a 104°F heat index before the storms arrive later tonight. The cold front hasn't entered Missouri yet so it's going to be awhile before we see any rain here.

Might do laundry later, small load. Called in scripts for pickup tomorrow. Possible grass cutting tomorrow too depending upon how fast the grass dries out after the overnight rain tonight.

Keep and eye on the sky if you're in the Midwest and be safe.

Servus!

Good morning gang!

Tried to get here sooner and got the white screen of death on my phone. The bots must have been active at 6:10 am. Everywhere else on the web was fine.
80° under sunny skies, looking for a high of 91°.

Just after arriving to work SWMBO called to say the key for her car is missing from her fob. My suspicion is that the blade is still in the key cylinder. Going to run home at lunch and see if I can get it started . If I can I'll bring it back to the shop. Meanwhile she took the red S10 to work.

This is why I don’t like lithium batteries.
This battery is bad, and has swollen internally to the point it’s ready to explode and catch fire.
And the only way to remove it from the van it’s in is to remove everything around it—hopefully without disturbing it and setting it off.

Good Morning All. Mostly cloudy and a really warm 79°, headed up to 96° later today...THI of 105°. Possibility of rain tomorrow with a high of just 89°. The real cool spell hits Sunday through Tuesday, maybe.

Gardening day yesterday, with what may be the final picking of the Green Beans. I'll see how this weekend's cooler temperatures react with the plants' internal mechanisms. Picked more Tomatoes and they're doing OK. It's not going to be a banner year, but there will be some surplus canning in about 3-4 weeks. Did laundry and dishes in between and rounded out the day going to Denton to eat at Saltgrass, a fine regional steakhouse chain. Their "Range Rattler" shrimp/cheese stuffed Jalapeno appetizers are extraordinary. Noted that gas about town has dropped to $3.39/gal. I'll get some today with my $1 off gas points at Kroger.
As posted, today is the weekly grocery trek with additional stops at Sam's Club, Vitamin Shop and pharmacy.

Out in the train shed yesterday, ground cover continued. I also started the chain-link fence around the drugstore site. I am using the Woodland Scenics stuff instead of scratchbuilding my own. Sure is easier.

Glad that everyone is safe after last night's severe weather scare.

Everybody have a great Thursday.

Good morning folks, 82 here already and humid. Supposed to hit 94F today with a HI over 100. We will head to Searcy in a bit for shopping and Lunch at Zaxby's. they have a fantastic salsd [they call them Zalads], the Blackened Chicken is my favorite. HL and HF both on the list for shopping today for me, and the Missus will have several others to hit. A gunstore on the way there has started carrying suppressors, so I might stop in to see what lines they carry.
A couple of N scale building got assembled last night so hopefully can get some paint on them tonight.
You guys be safe.
