So I wonder, if I upload my non railway models BUT they are sat on the model railway,although there is not a train in sight, are they banned?…..which means they are then stuck on a small lava flow! I feel a rebellion coming on….
omg one had some layout scenery in the background, so is it banned?

usually my dilemma was wether I could upload it as it was NOT railway….oooh that opens some possibilities

Good news!

I just walked out into the alleyway behind my house. To my delight, I've discovered an entire battalion of rocks laying on the roadway. That means I can post a picture of a rock everyday, with no doubles.
No rules will be broken from my end. I feel fairly certain that not a single one of those rocks has diddle to do with the hobby.

Personally I don't care, I've said my peace and I'm done with it, you don't like my post, ok, fine I don't like yours either.
 
You know... when I go hang out with my hobby-gaming friends like I'm going to do tomorrow, we talk a lot of crap. We talk smack at the table, and our dice let us down. We compliment each other's hobby skills or encourage others in the quest to be better at painting, assembling, force building, etc. We talk about upcoming game days, strategies, and tactics.

But when we go hit the pub or the restaurant afterward, that talk doesn't stop.

We get our phones out and share photos from past games. We relive other games, and tell the tales of the ones that got away. We pass our phones around and show our latest projects. Get advice and give advice. Not only at the game store but also over a plate of chili-cheese fries or BBQ Wings.

A lot like this coffee shop thread.

Things might fit better into chatting over the game table. Or calling a friend on facetime while sitting at the paint table weathering a WWII Sherman or Cromwell. But that doesn't stop us from talking about them over a pint. Or a cup of coffee.

Not everything belongs in either Column A or Columb C or Column P.
 


I take a few days off and everything goes to hell in a handbag. As for posting in the proper forum, some can be kinda vag, some can qualify in a few different forums. In the past I've posted pics here and in the weathering thread. The reason is I wanted to reach folks here in hopes they will go to that thread. TomO's thread has gained quite a few posters from the Coffee Shop. As of lately I've noticed Jaz, Troy, Hutch for example.
I always viewed the Coffee Shop as information for the other forums. Many questions have been asked about a subject and others have guided that person to a thread about it. Smudge for example, on many occasions has directed folks to TomO's weathering thread.
And let's face it we like to see pics, that's why we come here.

Everyone handles stress differently. Like all human things it is never as simple as "fight or flight" Willie, Karl and the others who left in protest don't want to engage in a pointless fight. They did not run off, they backed off in protest. At least that is how I see it.

That would have been a better idea. Rather than trying to fundamentally change Running Bear's coffee shop, start a new one!

Guy, sometimes it is best to just ignore posts that don't interest you. Like Karl, Willie and others ignore my baseball posts. ;)

That is the one thing we all have in common!

Although some would get upset with us referring to their models as toys.

We can never all agree on everything and that is ok.
