I currently don't have a layout.

My Mom gave me this little tree, so I made a little layout for it on my front porch. Christmas season 2018.

I still have the benchwork. but no layout on it.

Thank you, Terry, for the detailed instructions for the benchwork. Despite being exposed to the humidity changes the benchworks still looks new.

We used to have a horse track in RI but they turned it into a flea market. I went once but after watching the dogs run at he dog track, the horses looked slow to me. I never went back and now I can't and wish I could.
I think greyhounds are faster than thoroughbred horses for a 1/4 mile but it's close. They both run about 40 mph. The fastest horses run a mile in a 1:32 seconds. Dogs can't come close to that time.

Louis - I love the old stuff, as you know!

The coffee shop is just too much, simply not enough time or energy to keep up with everything going on there. Also, issues with the censorship thing, talked it over with wife and we decided there should be no censorship. none. (I would go along with no taking the Lord's name in vain.)

We are all adults, so why not a civil discussion allowed? Everything but politics and religion? really, that is almost everything important to me.

If it is a coffee shop, it should be just that. I have enjoyed many real coffee shops with locals meeting daily to discuss current events, and there were no tantrums.

I know the rules and will follow them. That will effectively keep me out of the coffee shop.

Well, it's 65F here in Little Rhody Mostly cloudy with a chance of me heading to the coffee machine. Free coffee in the cafeteria makes it hard to cut down on coffee so I just drink coffee all day. It helps to digest all the crap I ate for lunch, ring ding, tapioca and potato chips after eating a tuna sandwich. I need help and more cowbell aint gonna do it.
Coffee all day? How can you sleep at night?...well i just finished my Starbucks coffee😉
Here is one "where the heck am i" shot:

Saw this specimen few weekends ago in Conway Yard just west of Pittsburgh, Pa. Sadly this sharp paint scheme will probably disappear in a sea of Canadian Pacific red in few years.

The issue with poltics and religious discussions is they devolve quickly and often turn to snark, derision, shouting, and endless back and forth.

If the Coffee Shop is too much now, imagine a Trump and a Biden supporter going at the current news of the day!!!! (Not going there, just an example of how loud the coffee shop threads could become).

Does it matter if you post that you pastored church? Not at all, IMO. Or that your church groups responded to assist with disaster clean up? Nope.

But the proselytizing would probably lead to debate with those who don't follow the religion.

And, just like politics, those can get very noisy, and that becomes a turnoff.

Just like the restauranteur who asks a traveling steet preacher to leave a dining room when the preacher launches into full fire-and-brimstone in the middle of other people's dinner experience, a No Politics/Religion thread is designed to keep the politicos and the Jed Smocks of the world outside of the experience of others.

The time, manner, and place of those discussions matter greatly. Just as the restaurant manager/owner is within their rights to limit proselytizing and/or anything that can disturb the dining experience of their guests, forum owners/staff can do the same. Bob's forum. Bob's rules.

And, until yesterday evening, there were only two: Be Nice, no Politics or Religion discussion.

Something has been brought to my attention for addressing concerning the coffee shop and the use there of.

It seems as though some people (quite a few actually) are using the this place as a "One Stop Shop for everything, INCLUDING specific hobby related things such as builds, design, painting etc etc etc. This is NOT the place for Hobby Specific things - there are specific forums for them in the main area and it is THOSE FORUMS where things like making a spline etc should go - not here.

So, in future please post hobby related things in the appropriate Hobby Specific Forums and keep this place for all NON HOBBY topics like the weather, food, cooking and your mums ducks. Thankyou.
Awwww but we share with our mates, pretty please people we trust to give a sensible answer or who we know will be kind and supportive, some do not have their own layouts but still have so much to offer, very sad face…..
