I think Tony simply "stepped in the bucket" to use a baseball phrase. That can happen when you are trying to do your best and swinging hard. Next thing you know here comes a curve ball and you step in the bucket!

I suspect somebody was complaining to him. The law man in him felt he had to help. An honest mistake made with good intentions.

We all make mistakes; God knows I do. "Let he who is without sin be the first to cast the stone" Nobody is perfect.

An underlying theme of this coffee shop has always been tolerance.

Tolerance for newbies questions. I've had a lot of those and still do!

Tolerance for some political comments, but never debates.

Tolerance for religious comments and references. Thank God for that! God knows I would have been banned long ago otherwise.

Tolerance for all our differences, interests and so much more.

Seldom is any post deleted. Even more rare is someone is banned.

Sometimes we don't agree with our moderators. But I believe they are always acting in the overall best interest of us all. The proof is what a great place this is, for Everybody!

Can we please get back to our regularly scheduled programming? I miss my coffee shop!
I'd suggest finding ways to mend bridges with those that were ordered to stop posting so much here.

I'm hanging in to see if the situation that caused it is resolved, or if it's swept under the rug.

As a computer programmer myself my pet peave is I can't fix it if you didn't tell me it's broke. Likewise it's nice to know how people are using your website.

It appears that we all come to this website for different reasons. Some for the social and some for the technical assistance and some for, a place to share their work.

I've appreciated this site because I've found it to be supportive and tolerant.

Regarding the coffee shop. I don't have a lot of time so I end up missing a lot of the posts because I don't have time to read them, but I do undersand others have more time since they are probably at a different stage in life.

I typically like to visit the Forums -> New Post link to see what other questions and discussions are out there that might peak my interest. I enjoy the layout shots like Willie's.

So maybe another similar thread focusing on layout updates might be good.

So my recommendation is don't be grumpy and go away but work it out.

There are Boris but I can only win at a few tracks Belmont Park, Saratoga, The Big A, The Meadowlands and Western Fair. I don't play at any other tracks except maybe for the Triple Crown races. I try playing at PARX in PA once in a while but never win there. I started getting all my stuff ready for the big Fea Market 300 vendors at the Stormville Airport on June 17.

George: I rarely follow the horses, but there was a time when....I used to bid the Delaware Park race train, the meet ran Memorial Day until July 31, when Atlantic City opened. That was before and around the time Parx opened under a different identity. Six days a week, got to know Jockeys, trainers, owners grooms and attendants. Free admission, free club house, tips on which horses were "assisted" the whole nine yards. Great experience, great vacation and I got paid for it. Also got to know all the Damon Runyon characters who made their living at the track.
The last summer I worked the job, I followed a Steeplechase horse that was running well on the Delaware-Maryland-West Virginia circuit. After the Delaware circuit ended, National Anthem went to Belmont, the year the track reopened after the fire. National Anthem won its race at Belmont, but was taken down. Every other horse I bet, lost. Not even one finished in the money...The only places I could buy a win were Delaware, Pimlico and Bowie...Atlantic City was half and half. Otherwise forgetaboutit.

Troy I've had my feathers ruffled here before. I left for weeks and returned.

I signed out last night and had no intention to comeback. But I did and I'm glad I did!

My only hope is they come back soon because those five are a big part of this coffee shop. I've learned so much from those guys! Not to mention how entertaining they can be.

I really don't care how it gets resolved. As long as each one of those five comes back, I'll be happy!

I hope Everybody does like you and hangs on. We hit a rough patch, let's ride it out.

You want to do that just because people were asked to post in appropriate forums - something you already do ??? Your choice and your decision.
Not for nothing,Tony, the free flowing nature of this forum used to be conducive for the type of post you consider inappropriate, whereas the specific modeling posts don't. Truthfully, most of the modeling posts don't interest me, and I find it difficult to stay on topic. If that's the way you want it, ok, I'm cool with that, and will govern myself accordingly.:mad::mad:👎👎

Well, it's 65F here in Little Rhody Mostly cloudy with a chance of me heading to the coffee machine. Free coffee in the cafeteria makes it hard to cut down on coffee so I just drink coffee all day. It helps to digest all the crap I ate for lunch, ring ding, tapioca and potato chips after eating a tuna sandwich. I need help and more cowbell aint gonna do it.

I'm the opposite. I seldom have time for other threads. I work seven days a week. At least half a day every day. I like to work; I thank God I can work.

I make time for this coffee shop. I enjoy the great people, the variety and especially the layout photos! I enjoy all the wildlife photos, house building photos, real train photos, gaming photos, travel photos and all the other photos! I often don't have time to read much, but I make time for all the photos!

When I do have time to read, I've learned all kinds of things here in this coffee shop. From gardening, modeling, 3D printing, layout building, hockey, horse racing to Japanese mayonnaise! And so much more. Just the other day we had a great discussion about hot peppers. Who knew you get an endorphin rush from hot food? I learned that here!

I'm the oddball here. My main interest is in Lionel O gauge/scale. But I really enjoy the HO and N stuff people post. I currently don't have a layout. I live vicariously through the work of others. If they didn't post in the coffee shop, I would not have seen most of it.

That is the remarkable thing about these forums, there is something for Everybody. Best of all, it's free!

I agree and understand we all use it differently some have time to read, some make time to read, and some don't.

I too have learned lots from this forum and appreciate it.

More cowbell always fixes the problem

Boris I can't win at Delaware. A friend who I worked with on the Railroad has 3 horses there. Scott Lake trains them. A harness track called Western Fair in London Canada is where I do really well at. It keeps me in the money. If the Government would stop taking 20% of my big wins it would be good.

The only track I have ever been to is Pimlico. Two-Six dollars a race won't win much. I go to see the horses run and see them in the paddock.

I love to watch those beautiful athletes run!

I was going to visit Laural, but they were lobbying to move the Preakness to Laural. That ticked me off! Thankfully, our former governor put that idea to rest. Pimlico is being remodeled (about time) the Preakness will remain in Baltimore!

I ;love coffee, but dont think I could drink it all day. I worked with a guy for 20+ years that drank it all day. He would pour some out of the pot that had been turned off for a couple hours and microwave it.

Thats a hardcore coffee drinker!

I was never much into horse racing. My Father in law was though. Every Memorial day we would head up to Arlington Park, and take him to the track. He looked forward to it for months leading up to it. Wife, and I would throw a few bucks on some picks we studied out of the program, but never won much!

I miss those times as he's gone no, but fond memories of a good man!

We used to have a horse track in RI but they turned it into a flea market. I went once but after watching the dogs run at he dog track, the horses looked slow to me. I never went back and now I can't and wish I could.
