Good Morning!

It's going to be a great day, even though it's only 42F in the sun at the moment. Willie's still alive after an operation, Sherrel is thinking about a railroad in the garage, and the fencing is all done. Add to all that, the wife is going to work tomorrow for 3 straight days, which means I'll be left all alone with my modelling desk.

I'm thinking about cleaning it up, so I can see what I'm doing:

This weekend, I'll be working on trying to get structures ready for prime. If I have to decant primer from it's aerosol can, I'd like to do it for a number of models, including trucks, caboose switch's and buildings. So, there's lots of cleaning-up and prepping to do.

Right now, I'm going to go dump the old fence material. After that, I'm on my own time.

It's going to be a fine weekend of modelling, with not much else in the way.
Have a good one!
A man of many talents, that's a Spitfire you have on the wall above the desk I see.

BORIS, I dislike intensely any of the NHL other 5 of the original 6. I grew up a Chicago BlackHawk fan and we back then could watch all away games on WGN. I want NY only because I don’t want the Lightning in the Finals again. I also believe the Rangers are most likely to be embarrassed more by the Oilers then the Avalanche and I want to see that.
Tom: I understand perfectly. I don't particularly like the Avalanche either, and I'm not fond of Tampa Bay either. The Oil...well outside of the McDavid hype, they are ok, although I wouldn't trust Mike Smith against the Rags. I think Tampa was a bit rusty considering their long rest period. Rags may not win another game...

It appears that health insurers are putting the squeeze on everyone. Trying to "persuade" their clients not to under go what the insurance providers consider unnecessary procedures. Must not be meeting Analyst expectations for the next quarterly report.

Sherrel: Good to hear that the Nebulizer is working for you. You make a good point about building in face of a major water shortage. Dumb strategy. But you live in a Fantasy Land, that values the Movie Industry, while chasing jobs for deplorables. They aren't the only ones. Jersey went "Green", by banning plastic and paper bags, to save the planet, while at the same time, removing acres of trees for more shopping centers and offices....all at a time existing office spaces and shopping plazas have large vacancy rates...

Willie: Relish your recovery, the grocery store will be there next week. Having to wait that long for discharge mirrors what happened to me after my knee surgery. My BP was definitely up, as I cooled my heels waiting for my wheel chair ride.... Happy you are recovering quickly.

Preparing for our weekend trip. All for a Ballet Recital and a Science Fair. Good to enjoy our grandchildren while they are still kids. Won't be long until they are mini adults with other interests.

CSX power on Chester Branch enroute to East Side, passing SEPTA Airport line station at Eastwick on Memorial Day. Yes, they are SD40s.

Good morning Crew. It’s nice in Wisconsin, bright, clear and warming up. 57 now heading to 75f degrees. We actually made it to 80 higher by 8 degrees then the prediction.

My doctor appointment tomorrow I have been informed in a email last evening has been denied for coverage. It’s a frickin follow up to my surgery which was approved. That is 2 now denied. My last PT visit was also denied after previous written approvals.

WILLIE, at my angioplasty the young female nurse who shaved me seemed embarrassed and Terry standing next to me said to her, could you add a heart shape to the forest! Their laughter didn’t help calm me. The nurse who shaved me for the gall bladder was definitely experienced and just a few swipes and was done, no expression. The vasectomy cleanup was done by a male nurse and I was the embarrassed one. Glad you are feeling well. Follow the instructions and everything will be fine

I am just glad there was no photos…..LOL

Afternoon All,

My trip to see my buddy fell through so I did chores around the house. I'm pretty much at a standstill on the layout until I get some scenery materials (in mail). I guess that means running trains this weekend...darn! 👍Next week I have 2 medical procedures to do but they are minor and very minor.

Willie- I'm glad things went well for you and also glad for no photos.:D

Smudge- Nice job on the mine and that thing is a monster. I wouldn't even try to run it on my layout.

Karl- Very nice mod to the Geep. The parts fit very well.

Jaz- That's an amazing greenhouse.

Joe- Enjoy your trip and nice 1:1 photos.

Jeff- Have an awesome time. I hope it's everything your daughter could hope for.

Troy- I'm right there with you. When I was taking care of Mom last year, Dad came to me saying he needed help figuring out his prescriptions. He brings me 2 shoe boxes of meds of multiple same prescriptions, different dosages, expired meds, and the thing that floors me the most😲 was he would take the meds out of his bottles then put them in Mom's old bottles that he scratched out Mom's info then with black marker printed Diabetes and the like on the bottle and used them. WTH. No wonder he was confused.

Ken(IL)- Happy Birthday to your wife.

Dave- Another nice layout shot.

Guy- That already looks cleaned up.

I hope everyone has a good night.

I know this will never run on my present layout, but man, what a monster.
and at $180 plus shipping ($53) very tempted, even if only ends up as a shelf Queen on my non existent shelf 🤣

That thing was $28.99 when it was new.
And it will go around 18” radius curves. It’s happier on 22s, but it’ll run on 18s.

Tamiya paints and plastic plane models, do we get any sneak views….

WELL, Howdy there RR folks (and those who like and love trains).
I just finished my first cup of dark roast coffee and will be going for another - juat sitting here reading posts and sucking on the vapor from the nebulizer machine - seems it has helped my breathing more than anything?

Other than a few stiff/sore places - I feel pretty good and the Spousal Unit and I put in a good hours work repacking "stuff" in the garage, the reason is that she is planning on several different pieces of furniture from the ranch along with a freezer (don't know why) we can't afford to put anything in one ?

The appraisal came in on the ranch - way outta my league at 1.9 mil! I just don't see it - So many remodeling items need upgrading and repairs?

I have given up on it ever raining here again - we have only had 9.18 inches for the Jul - Jul rain season ... the last week has not produced a single cloud and looking at the next three days (local forecast) shows nothing but clear, sunny, and breezy.
I wonder all the time where CA is going to get the waater for the thousands of new homes that are being built everywhere?

It's not going to happen today, or tomorrow, but I have decided to sell and give away most all of my power tools and lots of other "stuff" that I have been holding on too for way too long!
Then I will have a bay in the garage for a railroad -- I should have done this 10-15 years back -- but life seemed to be in the way -- followed by health problems -- and I am not getting any younger!

Have a great day, folks .. I am going to try too !
Where the water comes from is not the concern of the developers.
My sister lives in Verde Valley, AZ. They are constantly reminded of the water shortage due to low water table. In the meantime, a fairly new golf course was opened that has the lawn sprayers going most of the time. I'm inclined to think the owner is related to someone on the city council.

I've noticed that as well, Locomotives that were $20/30/40 have increased quite a bit over the years, I bought a OO steam 4-6-2 for £15 NIB about 8yrs ago, same loco is now over £180, anyone would think they were no longer in production and were now rare, looking at the prices.
