Once the wisdom teeth come in you have nothing to worry about. They usually come in between the ages of 18-25. If they have enough room, great, if not they will push the other teeth to make room.

Those wisdom teeth are expensive to remove if necessary. My daughter needed two surgeries to remove them.

She did have some sort of wisdom teeth removal. I forget exactly what.

I never had my wisdom teeth removed as a kid or youn adult. I finally had to have one removed a decade or decade and a half ago when it got rotted out.

When I was a kid the dentist said that unless they were causing problems to just leave them.

Good Morning All!
65F @ 66% and clear.

Still doing good abet a little slow.

We ordered a Kardio Moble device last week as it was decided to monitor me a little closer. Got the $128 one with case.

Came yesterday and when we went to download the Kardio App this morning, V/MC wanted. On top of that, the monthly is/was $39.95. Before ordering, I checked stuff out pretty good and found NOTHING on any sort of monthly cost. My original quest was being able to take the reading(s) off the thing without some account. The reading would have been a PDF that can be shared ( typical on mobile devices ). This thing does not have anyway to get stuff off of it via USB as there is not a port. Must be a real good battery for the 10 year warranty. Sure a DL2032 will last near 10 years for a BIOS backup, but keep in mind that the PC/device it is in is not transmitting data.

Shaded advertising in my opinion; borderlines on false advertising.

Amazon told us immediately that they would send a label for the return. When we have done returns previously there was a long(er) delay, guess that this is a not so hot, hot item.

Good morning all!

Happy Friday!

Currently a very cloudy Northern Illinois morning. Currently 71F heading up to 87F. Had a couple big thunderstorms come
through the area late last night into early this morning. Had 1.3" in the rain gauge as of this morning. This is maybe the single
biggest rain event in the last couple of months. If you listen to the forecasters we can expect more tonight into tomorrow. Lets
hope, we are well below where we should be.

Going to be a busy day today. Have the usual Friday morning household chores. My daughter has her first Orthodontist
consultation this afternoon. Be interesting to see what the insurance pays and what our cost will be. I'm sure its still going
to be a chunk.

Did manage a tiny bit of layout work last night as well.

Have a safe day everyone!
Look into Invisalign, also. Braces trauma can last a life time. Hi there, Cyclone Fence.

Just sitting here checking through the forum and the door bell rings. Young guy with an I pad and starts his spiel;
neighbor behind me just signed up with him for yard service for mosquitos, ticks, and other yard
creatures. Told him I'm all set and he keeps talking. Again I say "not interested" and he keeps talking.
Close the screen door and he keeps talking. Close the main door and here I am.

I believe that I am a fairly courteous person and I understand he is trying to make a living. Used to be I
would just stand there and listen to them babble on ad-infinitum. I still try to be courteous but he is
encroaching on my time-of which I don't want to spend any more of with him.

End of rant.

That guy must get around. He was here a few days ago.

Wearing an apron for cooking I haven't time. I am busy, sorry, and close the door.

I don't even answer the door. Courtesy is a sign of weakness today.....especially in Jersey. If I don't answer, I don't feel guilty for being impolite.

Toilet seats? We have two bathrooms. One is supposed to be mine. Seats must be closed or wife has kniptions.

Shower handle? We have a super nice walk in shower with a high rainfall head and a hand held gizmo. I tried the hand held once but having the two controls to function I find it much simpler to just use the rainfall. Probably why I am DC as well.

Trees? I use one, or the side of shed, whenever I am outdoors. Try to alternate so as not to create a stink.

Illinois offered some kind of solar incentive and this Spring the solar salesmen were out crawling the neighborhoods for weeks
trying to sell solar panels. We have a ring doorbell so I can see on my phone who is at the door and I just don't bother to
answer any more. I just let the dog bark ferociously at the door and eventually they will go away. I did get caught by one when
I was working in the garage and he walked up the driveway, I had no place to go, so I insisted I wasn't interested at this time.

I was a commercial account manager/inspector for Orkin, for the last 7 years of my working life. Loved it. Cold calling was how you built your territory. Referrals made it easier. Returning a phone call quickly, being honest, under promising and over delivering was my success formula. Dealing with facilities directors, Building services, directors of food safety, hospital admins/charge nurses/infectious disease, etc was easy. They were professional and entrusted me (and my techs) with being professional.

Residential is a nightmare. I could never do residential sales. Residential cold calling is soul sucking. Can you imagine dealing with a homeowner that saw 1 ant or mistook a boxelder bug for a cockroach. The funniest story I heard from a residential account manager was that a customer thought there was a spray application to rid the home of rodents.😁 Residential customers also think they can successfully do their own pest control without any training in entomology or biology. Some can, but most can't. There was never a bed bug warranty issued if a customer had used a bug bomb (they purchased from Home Depot) before the tech arrived. They're a contact insecticide. Usually the main ingredient is some type of permethrin or pyrethrin. They are non residual, so once they are dry and you can't smell them they are done. The bugs can smell them too and it acts as a repellant spreading them.

If they followed the rules it wouldn’t be that bad.

Around here most solicitors need a solicitation license from the city.*. First thing I do is ask to see their license if they appear on the door and I answer. Most don’t have one and they disappear when I ask. A few try and argue with me. I’m not sure why solicitors think arguing with a potential customer who didn’t ask you to come by will make a sale.

If they tell me they’re just in the neighborhood and the neighbor “over there” with some generic wave recommended me I just laugh.

Residential cold calling is soul sucking because they choose to make it so. If they were polite and followed the rules and didn’t lie or make up stuff then it wouldn’t be soul sucking.

* the solicitors who don’t are political signature gatherers, missionaries and related, I think school kids selling stuff (no one gets mad at them anyway), and a few other edge cases. But commercial sales isn’t one of the no-permit-required cases except maybe the school kids I mentioned.

That's a great question to ask, I will keep that in my arsenal!

I have noticed the signs that say solicitor's must register with City Hall on the entrances to our town.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those who disrobe before answering the door.

It's Troy again

Had a semi productive day. Laundry is done. Bedding is changed.

I realized that in the summer when we're wearing shorts, Ts and shorter sleepwear, laundry on fridays is only 2 loads, not 3 loads like it is in the colder months.

Painted some minis this morning/afternoon. Not a lot done, just one color for the armor. Need another week or so to get them finished. Also realized I'm burning out on the painting of minis. I need to do something different in the hobby world. The problem is, I still don't have a good track plan for my upper level, so trying to go to the next step is stalled.

Went to Penn Station for dinner. Still not dipping their sammiches in grease. As much as stuff costs in food these days, they're probably pretty stingy on the extra oil for cooking. 😜

Beverage tonight is the Mai Tai. I top mine off with Mango juice.
