Yeah that happens. The balance you saw didn’t include the day’s interest, which posted at the end of the day or whenever.

I have an E*Trade account with the opposite problem. I withdrew the complete balance but then one or two cents showed up when new interest was posted. They’ve tried to charge me a statement fee (pushing it to a negative balance) but I just ignore it. The account was used two employers ago, now, to handle stock grants. They can do whatever they want.
I’ve seen the “statement fee” become a late balance, then late fees and interest added on, and before you realize it, in about six months it gets turned over to a collection agency. They then write off the entire amount on their taxes, leaving you with a debt and ding on your credit score.

They can try. I never asked for a printed statement and I had a $0 balance. I think they’ve stopped with the statements. I think there was only one and one fee. I should log in and see where it’s at.

Good morning all!

Kind of a cloudy overcast Northern Illinois day today. Currently a very humid 78F heading up to around 86F. I felt the
humidity right away when I took out the garbage recycle bins this morning. Supposed to see a little rain later on this
afternoon, but I wont believe it till I see it. Most of the rain goes around us with whatever weather pattern we have been
in all summer long.

Have to run to HD later today to do an emergency shower repair in our main bathroom. The shower has a separate hose that
goes from the pipe coning out of the wall fitting to a handheld shower head. It connects with a fitting that has the main shower
head with a 5 foot hose to the handheld. It is all plastic fitting and it has cracked the fitting on the hose. I have to track down a
new hose. Right now I have taken it all down and screwed a spare shower head that I had laying around. It wont be able to stay that
way long as the wife and daughter will complain that they want the handheld back. I don't use it, so its not a big deal for me, but you
guys know......If the wife and daughter aren't happy life will get rough for me!

Not much else going on around here.

Have a safe day everyone!

But it's been a monumental waste of time and energy and it makes me extremely angry
"Don't let the Bastards get you down!

Part of the insurance racket is to stall and delay. In hope that you get fed up and pay the bill. At least it seems so from my little experience with health insurance. Most of my life I have paid out of pocket as I have been self-employed for most of my life.

here is a picture from my coffee break from yesterday.
Marco, I love the photos, thank you!

Good morning, all! A warm start to the day, 82. A low chance of rain. I believe my presence has been requested by the wife on her trip to Kroger's later today. I did run some trains yesterday, but probably not today.

Willie, was it "down the tracks Tuesday" or "Thursday?"

STAY SAFE
LATER

Good morning, 85 here already and heading for 92 and humid. My wife is trying to talk me into watching a new game show she recorded. Hope to make it to the LHS tomorrow, but it might be next week.
Nephew's crew arriving tomorrow, depending on the time they are getting in, we might get to make it to a small concert.
Y'all have a good day.

More concerning healthcare.

As I said previously, most of my life I have paid out of pocket as I have been self-employed for most of my life.

Healthcare providers were more than willing to negotiate with me for cash payments. It's amazing how cash can cut through red tape. It was cheap some years, others not so much. I won't even mention how much I spent over the years. With three catastrophic health problems and long-term hospital stays you can imagine how quickly the money adds up.

To ease my wife's mind, I signed up for health insurance through the ACA. I found great insurance at a bargain price through Maryland's Health Care Exchange. With immense help from Maryland's Healthcare Connection Navigators. They really know what they are doing. Which was great because I had no clue. It's not cheap, but eventually I think we will save money and have better health to show for it. Not to mention my wife's peace of mind is priceless.

It would not have been possible before the ACA due to all my preexisting conditions, at any price. I was preciously told I was uninsurable. At least that was my experience.

We now have a managed care plan through MedStar that has worked great for us. Medstar treats us like royalty. I don't know one doctor from another, anyway, but I know we are getting great healthcare!

Yesterday I had my first colonoscopy, long overdue. They removed two polyps. From what I understand they would/could eventually become cancerous. I will know more when they get the results from the lab. My family has a history of cancer.

I thank God for my healthcare. Before I had insurance I skipped anything that wasn't necessary. Not a smart thing to do.

This morning's rain and cloud cover have kept our temperatures below 80, so far. We took advantage and went a little nuts cooking. My wife made potato salad. I made pulled pork barbeque, and I roasted split chicken breast on the Weber Kettle.

Now the question is, what to eat?

My old Frigidaire HVAC has already caught up and it is a cool 73.9F with 61% humidity in the family room kitchen and both are still dropping. "I love it when a plan comes together!" I watch too many old TV shows.

Right now, I'm watching "Godzilla 2014" It is the 30th film in the Godzilla franchise, (I think I've seen them all, I love Godzilla!) and the second Godzilla film to be completely produced by a Hollywood studio.

"Sounds like something big coming this way... Godzilla!"

Sounds like you could use a good hotdog! 😀
Oh, now you've done it! I have left over hotdogs in the refrigerator!

Which reminds me, during my colonoscopy preparation my wife made Jello for me. I love Jello, but why did she put it on the shelf below the hotdogs!

The first thing I ate when I got home was two of those leftover hotdogs, no bread just hotdog!

I went out later in the morning to do my walk around the neighborhood. As I was standing on the porch a car turned the corner and started coming up the street. It had a large camera mast on top so I started waving as it drove past. The car was labeled Google Street View. Maybe I'll be immortalized for the next 10 years. T he current street view of my address is 10 years old (labeled July 2015) and shows my neighbors house being built. The house behind mine is completely missing and it appears other houses may be missing further away...

It was mid 90s today, maybe upper 90s. But there was a nice breeze when I was walking, though the sun beat down. By the afternoon some dark clouds had rolled in and since it has alternated between overcast and partially overcast alternating with blue sky. Still quite warm out though the sun is down.
When we lived in Minneapolis, my old suburban was captured on Google Street view. It was parked next to the road in a parking lot for our apartment.

My jaw dropped when I saw it there, in the foreground to boot!
