All of us in here agree with you...except for hardass whom hates everything.
If ya think about and become really magical, everyone has multiple personalities. They could be:
One for everyday stuff.
One for when you need to whine.
One whom wants sex.
One whom gives sex.
One whom disciplines children.
Those could be all different voices, maybe a stretch but still.
Ok you got me, I suspect parts of our personality are stronger than others, and as long as they ’come out’ at appropriate times then we are higher functioning, and occasionally there may be a dilemma when one sort of agrees or disagrees, it makes senses, just for sone reason in sone people this ‘personal traits’ fail to give way but fight for dominance at inappropriate times.

My brother has serious issues, and is for the second time being asked to self accept being put in hospital, he sees anyone who won’t fall in with his plans as someone scheming out to get him.In an extreme way, and occasionaly identifies so strongly with politicians or comedians (some say they are the same thing) that he tries to imitate the way they speak. This would be hysterical, if it was a clip for our amusement rather than him losing the plot. to my knowledge he has never become violent, but his wife at present cannot cope, and I can see her issues. he has a manic desire to try to manipulate people but he is so easy to see through, which is astonishing as he is an intelligent person. This time his wife going on holiday without him but with her sister abroad and her coming back with Covid caused the off the cliff issues, and her actions were pretty slack, so catching it in crowded places with no attempt to prevent catching it wasn’t a great idea, still many people do not mind catching at present as they see it as a vaccine alternative,me personally I think taking the risk of being one of the unfortunate few to get a bad reaction is not a safe bet,

On the other hand I think she needed a break from his incessant bizarre behaviour. So running abroad was maybe her way of trying to get him to self cope……oooops.

Happy Birthday, TROY! Anymore I count anyone being under 60 as a blessing and to enjoy as much in life as you can ...
You will never be as young as you are today!

Hey Peeps -- Supposed to be 87f degrees for a high today with bright, clear, cloudless skies!
Too much ciaos (that didn't spell right) around here so, The Spousal Unit is off to Leggo Land with the boys this morning along with daughter and SIL. The car only holds 5 people and I have an adjustment at the dentist to attend - I have a couple of "sore" spots with the dentures which I could fix myself with the Dremel but I might as well let them correct as it is all part of the fee.

Don't really have any other news or excitement going on. Can't seem to make a dime with this screwy Market.

TomO - Sorry, I was not avoiding you but just have no answers on the airlines and their problems.
I have a feeling that I am too far removed from the goings on to really know much of anything?
Sherrel, not a problem. Though being “too far” removed might be helpful to them. Run it the way it should!

Have a great day

Good morning, all. Another hot one on tap, 100 with a feels like of 110.

"Hey Ms. Jackson, another day has passed, and I didn't use algebra"!

Troy - Happy orbit day.
Jeff - Your waterfront project is looking pretty darn nice.
Mikey - Portal repair turned out quite well.

No news from the train room.

STAY SAFE
LATER

This morning I hit my stopping point in writing. Goal is 2,000 words a day (I set the counter to 2,500/day, but I'm good with 2K)

Figured I'd do another paragraph when I got home from Panera, just to top the 2K goal.

Pulled up the counter and started cursing...

ONE LOUSY WORD AWAY from being done for the day.

I stayed at Panera and wrote another paragraph right then, just to get the monkey off my back.

I've lost a little over 40 pounds since 10 Feb, 2020 when I took my last drink of alcohol. I was easily consuming 1,200 calories a day in just alcohol. At first, I craved carbs, and the weight loss kind of stalled at 10-15 pounds. But in the past year or so, I've dropped another 30... Just by eating smaller portions more frequently. Eating 5-6 small meals each day is much better for us than eating 2-3 large meals. Total caloric intake may be the same, but every time you eat, your metabolism increases in order to process the food. So eating smaller portions more frequently keeps you metabolism elevated.

Afternoon, folks.

As if we haven't had enough rain, there's supposed to be a whopper of a storm system blowing in for tonight. There's even a tornado threat. However, I'll lay that down as media sensationalism. - If there's going to be a storm, I hope it at least comes with a good light show.

Troy - Happy Birthday if you celebrate.
rgeiter - That women you posted a photo of looks smart. I'm not big on smart women. If they're too smart, they figure me out early, and leave.
JeffH - Nice job on the waterfront building. I was thinking while looking, that it would also make a cool horse stable; for rich people.
Mikey - Well done on disguising the portal damage. The vegetation looks natural.

I weathered the oil dealership tanks as much as I care to. In weathering, I believe less is more.
When the enamel dries, I'll give them a dull coat to hopefully blend in the Shell decal. That will be it for the tanks.

Have a great evening!

Afternoon All,

Started out spraying weeds and unwanted grass this morning before it got Africa hot. In the train room I "planted" the BTS Mill Creek mine. The track oprnings are smallish so I had to fiddle with it while pushing a H21a coal hopper through the 2 openings until it was right. I also mounted the 6 exterior lights and 2 interior ones. They haven't been electrically connected. I also glued on the 2 long and 2 short stairs to the mine (fragile). After lunch dad, son, and I went to the range and shot 3 different rifles and 3 different hand guns. It was fun as we haden't gone in awhile. Sorry no pictures today. The family is going out in a bit for both grandkids birthday (17 and 15), They picked Golden Corral🤢 but it's their choice (family tradition).

Troy- That looks great.

Todd- Glad you like the truck.

Jeff- That is a real nice looking kit.

Mikey- Nice job on the portals.

Joe- Sorry to hear about your visitors. Nice 1:1 photo.

Troy- Happy Birthday🎂.

TomO- Great cartoon.

Guy- Nice job on the tanks.

Steve- Since it works you could paint the wires then ground foam them.

Sherrel- Hope you got your dentures fixed. No reason for a sore mouth. I think you're talking about Lasix. Also, if you have a BP med that's combined with HCTZ that is a diuretic also, but usually not as strong as Lasix.

I hope everyone has a good night.

I think you're talking about Lasix.
That's correct Curt. Sure makes you pee though. I recently started with 40 mg/day and lost ten pounds in the first two days. That's a bit (2 lbs) over a gallon of water. Doctor then reduced it to 20 mg a day and things leveled out. I did regain three of those pounds due to my appetite returning after the bout with pneumonia. Now while I still take it daily, I vary when I take it. Don't need to take it an hour before going to the grocery store or any event where I might be sitting for a while! It is used in conjunction with other blood pressure medications.

That must have been some high calorie beverages. I drink Heineken beer which has a little under 12 calories/oz, or 142 calories/bottle. It has 11 grams of carbs and my doctor allows 50 carbs per meal. Since I don't drink it for breakfast or lunch, that gives me a little leeway later.;)
I admire anyone who is able to stop alcohol permanently. I stop for 6-7 months at a time about every five years. I just like the taste. I quit drinking for the buzz 25 years ago.

I was going through a fifth of vodka each day... Some days more. I had to stop or I'd probably be in a grave right now.

I don't miss it one bit, except for the taste of a good beer. I tried some of the "non alcoholic" beer, but there is still enough alcohol in those to trigger the craving of a buzz.

My wife and kids still drink. It doesn't bother me.

Good afternoon from Wisconsin.

I will post in the RPO forum section but another and the final car came from HomeShops LLC. arrived today. They specialize in free lance cars from layout owners.

These are made by Tangent Models and are the typical excellence of a car from them. I now have 2 total from
Home Shops LLC and the product line and other new stuff coming is at

homeshops.net

The 2 WFN and the MCIS cars seen above are now at the paint bench where the wheelsets are removed and weathered. I also applied the 1st fade coat for both cars. The WFN should be close to a rust bucket while the MCIS will have a medium weathering.

Rapido Trains, announced today new Center Beam cars. I have been looking for more Atlas and Walthers Center beams since last week. Instead I just pre-ordered 12 Rapido from my LHS and will sell off my 2 remaining Walthers cars. I am keeping the 3 Atlas center beams. That is my second most expensive pre-order, moving the pre-ordered and paid for Protothrottle to third still behind the Scaletrain.com order of 3 Turbines and 10 Classic kit cars when they 1st opened for business.

damn, retail therapy feels great!

WEIGHT LOSE, So many gimmicks out there! Be careful please. My doctors would not prescribe any deurtics to lose the water weight. I have lost weight and improved the A1C since January just by counting carbs. My calorie intake now is not to exceed 1800 all day and the 2 mile rigorous walk subtracts about 400 calories. I was walking twice a day but since my Covid experience in June I am down to just once a day. Walking 2 miles is very tough now and doesn’t qualify as a rigorous exercise at this time. Just a strength building exercise. My swimming since my surgery in early June has been next to nothing and now is just basically to relax in. I am not ready to steadily swim exercise laps. But the doctor has cleared me

Alcohol, I barely drink and have always been a lite weight when it comes to alcohol. I never really learned to enjoy a beer until I found Spotted Cow from the New Glarius Brewery after I retired in 2014 and we moved to the Madison Wisconsin area. But, now maybe once a month versus once a week before I started counting carbs.

not much new back from another hiatus where there is no web. skimmed thru these 13 pages. had 2 inches rain while I was gone. downpours off & on today. think our downspouts are plugged, but I was able to reach 2 of them & poke stick thru the blockage so at least some h2o gets thru
landlord (my son) really got to do something one of these yrs.

Good morning all! 72 with light rain on the way to 86 for the day. Distant thunder going on from a much heavier part of the storm about 10 miles north of me. Nothing much to report really. Back to work for the last day of the work week soon. New assignment for my online class becomes available tomorrow morning so I plan to work on that part of the weekend. No real big plans otherwise.

Thanks for the comments regarding my school plans for the Fall semester. I don't mind doing the Speech class at all. I'm not sure yet but I think it will be held in the classroom directly across the hall from my office. I'll have to use my lunch hour to go to class but that's no big deal. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time during the day to eat a sandwich so not really concerned about the lunch hour. As far as the second class goes, unless something changes between now and when sign up starts for Fall I plan to go ahead and take the math class too. Not looking forward to it but I think I'd rather deal with it this Fall instead of having to keep dreading it till the Spring. Either way, if I stick to my plan I should be able to graduate with an Associates Degree next Spring. Hoping I stick to the plan and don't talk myself into spreading it out longer.

Hope you all have a great day!
