Good afternoon to all............

USPS delivered my package yesterday around 4:30 pm. And FedEx delivered my other purchase earlier today, both packages look to be in good condition. One other e-bay purchase is coming today via USPS.
A person on one of the buy/sell/trade forums offered some RTR boxcars back on Jan 22. I purchased one but didn't hear from the seller for a couple of days. He said they are snowed in big time so I'll have to wait a bit. I told him I am in no rush but if he could figure postage I could go ahead and at least get him paid. He said he is still snowed in and I will have to wait so I'm guessing he has to go to his P O to figure shipping. Oddly, he has run several more posts selling other items.........that makes me scratch my head in that he can't ship or figure postage on anything he sells. For me, I think I would wait to post more items for sale when I was able to ship so folks don't have to wait. I think he is in PA.

Outside temp gauge shows 80 degrees. Most ice and snow is gone except in shaded areas. No rain or snow in forecast for next 10 days and decent temps considering it is the end of Jan going into Feb. This is usually our coldest time of the year.

Time in the train room today. I need to test run the two new steamers I purchased and install a couple more turnout servos. I have 6 servos to install at turnouts and that will finish my upper level layout as far as the two main lines. I sill have a couple of spurs that need to be installed but that will have to wait until I get the structures built for those places.

Better get busy............John

That's my goal as well. Since this is the first tax season since I retired, it'll take a couple of feedback loops to get it there.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those searching for the break of day

It's Troy again

Somewhere around 25 or 6 to Four this morning I was napping on the couch after getting up at 2:30 to take an Ibuprofen. Wide awake with the leg cramp again, but it wasn't as bad as yester-morning.

I had some some early morning simple stretches, then laid down on the couch by 3a - Feeling like I ought to sleep

I jumped (or hobbled) off the couch with a sharp ache in the piriformis region again.

Evidently I overdid one of the stretches and the butt muscle was letting me know

Wondering how much I can take
Should have tried to do some more - Nope! Took an extra Ibuprofen. Made some coffee and had my morning bacon and yogurt

Got the email that it's time to check in online for our upcoming cruise. We need to get this done ASAP to get an early check-in time. But, they make us submit a recent head shot. I can take those easy, but we need to be showered and wife has to actually do her routine of floofing.

It is so good I posted it again! This has to be one of the coolest and most unique songs ever. It brings back memories, and probably even more that I can’t recall. "Should I try to do some more?" I’m not talking about stretches, no way! I mean those glory days when life was carefree, as we were flying high again.

10°F here with a -05°F wind chill. Glad I'm not out in it. Slept very well last night except for Diesel song at 0230, but he pulled out immediately and I didn't have to lay there listening to it for 20 minutes. Fell right back asleep and feel pretty refreshed this morning. First cup of coffee is here and I'll see what's up on the web.

Running trains later today and might run a few things through the wash. I stepped outside for the first time in almost week to take out the trash. It's only a few steps to the can, but I was in snow half way up my calves a step from by back door. It must have drifted some after it came down while it was still fluffy and before it packed over the days.

The truth is I lost a lot of friends and family "when I ran [with] the hounds of hell"
The only other survivor is in a nursing home.

If everything said, written, or believed about me were true, I’d either be dead or behind bars.

Here I am, by the Grace of God, a free man, alive and doing fairly well.

Still my nasty reputation as a "youth gone wild" follows me.
I can honestly say, with God as my witness; I never hurt anyone that didn't try to hurt me first.
It is time to get off my 🫏 and make some more progress in my attic. One good thing that has come from this snow/ice storm, I have had time to work in my attic and research transformers.

God willing, I will start a thread about some of what I have learned about transformers and update my thread about the attic progress in the near future.

I had another one of those nightmares last night where I felt that a ghoul was trying to get into my bed with me. I had to struggle to wake up and get my arms moving. Managed to get it going and fight it off. This was another one of many similar instances. Fell back asleep after a while. At least this time, I didn't punch the wall. I think I woke everybody up that time.

Unless he needs the free boxes from the USPS he could go to the website and figure out shipping costs online. I do that many times a week but I keep various size boxes to ship in. Heck if he uses a flat rate box he could give you the price now! Hope he marked your item,pending if he has not yet pulled the listing
