Beautiful looking car!

I assume it has a heated steering wheel as well?

our last 2 cars had heated steering wheel and heated leather seats. Those 2 items are a must and worth every penny!
I don't have it migalyto. Canadian models only as illustrated below. Swal

for the gun nuts on here I know I can not own a fire arm as a felon but say a legal friend invited me to shoot guns at targets at a range or something would that be ok.

anywhoozle playing a game called Hogwarts legacy as its been 25 years since the first Harry Potter movie which makes me feel old as I was a kid reading the books. looking at tearing down the ho and do some o scale for a while all though I need padding of some sort because I scale on 2 fold card tables is noisy as all get out and I'm running what's basically a postwar f unit set with a new paint job on Menards track. So how bout them Indiana boys I'm no means an IU fan but I do respect them getting themselves a natty. now on to nascar and MLB in a few weeks.

here's your answer.

G'mornin'. It is -1C @ 0700. Colder than yesterday and not following what the guessers say it should be.

All this talk about bad weather made me think about restocking my pantry. We have a lot of bottled water but probably need to get more canned food, so today's visit to the commissary will be a heavy load. Not to mention the antifreeze for me.

Also need to top of the gas, all 3 gallons worth. I'm thinking I should run the tank down to at least 1/2-1/4 to keep the gas fresh which will probably take a month to do at my rate.

Well, I picked up my book last night and started reading. I believe I have read this book before as some of it is coming back. I hope to keep this going as I made it through the "what has gone before" chapter and chapter 1. That first one really helped to get the gray matter moving again.

Evening all,

Almost quitting time for the week. Still barking a bit this afternoon, but almost 24 hours since I last took any meds. Feel ok, so I guess that's a thing.

Waiting for the big storm. I'm going to trudge out in the morning after the kiddos are at school. Don't need a lot of stuff and if I don't make it to the store, we're ok either way. Winter storm watch is now a Winter Storm Warning until 12:00p on Sunday. still saying in the neighborhood of 10" with some locally heavier amounts. We have snowplows, but they never plow like they did as I recall in Michigan as a kid. Always saw them leave sparks as they plowed up there, but they have little skids that keep the blade about an inch above the surface. It because the stuff doesn't usually stay long on the roads in most cases, a few days to a week on treated roads.

This just in Sears also "paused" publishing their Searsbook catalog!

Wm K. Walthers Inc., the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based hobby manufacturer and distributor, has announced it will not publish its annual reference book in 2026, marking a shift for the nearly century-old company.

In a statement to customers, Walthers acknowledged the importance the printed reference book has held for hobbyists over the years. “For many years, the Walthers Reference Book has been an important part of the hobby, and we know it has been especially valued by customers who enjoy having a trusted printed resource at hand,” the company said in an electronic newsletter sent to customers.

The decision comes as the company approaches its 94th anniversary in Spring of 2026. Walthers noted that throughout its history, it has adapted its offerings to meet changing times, and the reference book itself has evolved over the years.

For modelers who relied on the printed catalog, the company emphasized that the same information remains available on walthers.com, where content is updated frequently and accessible at any time. While the company acknowledged that some customers who prefer a printed reference may find the news disappointing, they said the shift will have little impact on many users who already utilize digital resources.

Importantly, Walthers stressed that the publication pause does not signal a reduced commitment to the hobby. The company reaffirmed its dedication to producing and supplying high-quality products, along with accurate information and services for modelers of all experience levels.

Walthers also left the door open for a potential return of the printed reference, noting they are not ruling out a future printed edition but asking for customer understanding as the company continues to evolve.
I am surprised that they have been publishing their catalog for this long.
I have never bought one.

John

Well howdy there internet peoples and those with weather on the way

It's Troy again.

I'm mobile, but still with my sciatica flaring. I can sit or stand or lay. But the in-between motion is what aggravates it.

So I turned to the AI generator to get a good image... and it wasn't what I wanted, but I wasn't disappointed.

My wife would say I'm not that old, but the rest of it is about right. Including the turbo thruster in action.

Good afternoon to all........

As we say in Texas, I'm "fixing" to go out to the train room and install a couple more turnout servos. I turned on the heat there about 30 minutes ago.

Weather now showing 19 degrees for a high on Sat & Sun with 7 degrees for a low. I'll be running the heater in my well vault starting Friday night.
It is 55 here now, overcast and not too bad because there is no wind.

The Walmart I go to in Wichita Falls Texas is pretty well kept and I don't see many "crazies" there at all. It was a whole different story at the Walmart's in Dallas.............YouTube material there for sure.

This is NOT a political statement here, just a Public Service Announcement...........
I watched one of those political watchdogs on YouTube last night. He was showing a part of some new legislation that will allow/set-up government control on 3D printers and their programs. This is all because of the 3D printing of handguns and parts. You will be required to have a license when you buy a 3D printer. This legislation will also require all existing machine shops to register for a license if they operate machinery that removes/reshapes metal. There was a lot more in depth info provide in the video, way more than I can cover here. This is just the type of crap law that gets passed with little or no info to the public and then everyone wonders how did it happen. The gov already stopped the importing of DJI drones because of "surveillance" concerns. Big Brother is definitely getting their fingers in our business/hobbies these days.
If you already have a 3D printer you might fly under the radar.......until you post one of your made items on a public forum or someone turns you in to the powers to be.

Stay warm my friends...........John

If it moves, regulate it, if it doesn't move, tax it. Simple money grab from hobbyists.
