But has he been effective
Willie: Well the only time you hear about him is when he sends out a news letter right before the election...then again, he hasn't hurt anyone either. When the WW2 generation was active he was into "Senior Issues", Then it was "Veterans affairs" now he is fighting "Human Trafficking".

Like I mentioned to Louis: After quietly accepting and reporting what Ole Joe's publicists put out daily, the media now scrutinizes and analyses every burp the New and Former makes. The contrast is too obvious to ignore. Of course the Then and Now, loves Media Attention, where his intermediate loved working in the shadows.

Mikey - We've only been married for 52 years, and I can't remember a lot of them. How about you and 59?
Just like my computer, I have some bad memory sections. I have to concentrate to bring details of certain activities back to memory.
Right now, my biggest missing memory loss and missing time is the 43 years of work.
However, there are many pleasant memories of my wife.

Good morning! It's 16°F in Tipton.

I had great health insurance with the railroad while I was there then after I left with Local 235 up until when I retired 13 years ago. If I can remember Local 235 took out of my pay $6.00 an hour retirement. $6.00 annuity, $6.00 an hour health Insurance and $2.00 union dues. We had the best health insurance you could have, and my wife used it many times. When my wife had a heart attack in 1997 while she was still working, we had 2 insurances to pay the bills.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with faulty memory chips

It's mm.... hmmmm.... Oh! Yeah... Troy again.

Hearing aids updated. Dinner scored. Fell asleep in the recliner last night. Then slept in til 5:15 this morning. That's an extra 2 hours of sleep!

Sciatica still grooving along. It's like a bad houseguest who refuses to leave. Keeping up on my exercise.

OK! I need to get more steps. That machine to nowhere is sooo boring.
I try to find a MRR vid (Thunder Mesa Studio is my current druther) about 30 minute long, put the iPad with it running on the easel and start sweating to the oldies.,.. or something like that.

Dinner: Wife said pizza hut. Who am I to argue.
No, not taco pizza. Who thought that was a good idea?

We did discover that Wed is Pizza Buffet night at Pizza Hut. You see, we have the OLD style of sit down Huts here. Table service. Red and White checkered (plastic) table cloths...

But instead of the all you can moose buffet, we got our normal stuffed crust. Two slices for each of us there, box the rest and we have tonight's dinner.

Made it to Menards yesterday. I have the trim strips to mount my LED light strips. And I have my liquid nails to mount the fascia supports (to the underdeck) where I want to mount the Aegis system.

Gonna be a busy weekend.

If you're a fan of Marvel Movies, I found a video that does a deep dive into the Cap'n America character arc across the MCU. Worth watching, but it starts with a non-Steve Rogers Cap clip (and has a 1 min commercial right after the lead in, skip that section).

Steve's character arc isn't flat. But it is a low growth arc. He's the stability with only minor changes in the series. Everyone says that Ironman is the focus of the MCU. Yes, but he needs Cap - in particular - Steve Rogers to complete Tony Stark's character arc.

If you're into marvel, and have 20 minutes, it's an interesting watch.

Good morning all. A cold, cloudy day with showers forecast.

Friend visiting this afternoon. Playing teaboy. lol.
Then I shall disappear to the train room.

I am wondering whether to purchase more freight wagons? I really have far too many, but ----.

Flo. A coffee on the go please.

Back later

I'm up early going to the classmate's breakfast we have once a month. We usually get about 16 people there. See what everyone's up to. Some have a lot of health issues going on. A lot of my classmates have already passed on. Most likely poor eating habits.

When I was doing the walk/ride to nowhere, I found several Youtube videos of walks and bike rides along a beach in Hawaii, or a biking trail. I was able to daydream I was going somewhere.
