Good morning. 32° with something falling, that's not quite solid...By the time the wife and I ventured out, whatever that had fallen had compacted into about ½", of icy slush, which we pushed to the sides of the driveway, sidewalk, and entry area. followed up with a treatment of "Pet Friendly" ice melter. According to the NWS, there is about a two hour window of above freezing temps. and rain, before the front comes through, and everything freezes over again.

After lunch, I plan on packing all the remaining Christmas decorations in the newly located containers, then play with the trains...

Big problems today. My wife is unable to move at all. My sister tells me she needs to go into a hospice ordered by her doctor.
Of course, her doctor is overwelled with sick people and hasn't returned my call. I have no idea what's going to happen next. If she leaves for hospice care I may sell the house. My train layout would have to be taken down. I don't know what's going to happen?

Swal. Our thoughts and prayers to you both. Hopefully things are not as bad as indicated.
No Dvid there bad. This has been coming on for some time now When she fell and broke her back the doctor told us there's no fixing it. Her mind hasn't been right since Val our dog died a few days ago. If she has to go, I don't need a 3-bedroom house to live in. I would downsize to something much smaller.

BLIMEY --- MEL's going to have to hire another crew with all these night owls hanging around?

47 degrees here and that is not Centigrade -- thank goodness -- but I have seen 45C in the flesh!
Expected to be 69 degrees and mostly sunny for the next three days -- I didn't look any further.

Glad the PACK won, but I was hoping for some closer games on all accounts .. never carried for heavily one sided affairs?

Sorry that I have not been around the last few days, but have been having a few troubles with different items. I am behind a half dozen pages, or more. I may read the "lost" pages or at least some of them.
Pretty soon I will have my days and nights completely reversed?
Look on the bright side, you will be ready to pilot the red eye.

Are you getting enough sleep? I hope so, it doesn't matter when.

Afternoon All,

Started out in the 60's and drizzling today. Tomorrow temps are supposed to be in the 40's. Still having gum pain but it's not as sharp as yesterday. The transmission guy was here and will be sending an invoice of recommended repair work later today but it's not a complete replacement. I had no ambition to do anything in the train room today.

Hughie- Very nice job on the station.

Chad- The exterior looks good.

Bill- Interesting photo.

David- Great looking scenes.

Mac- It's always something in MRR'ing. Hope it's an easy fix.

Mara- Welcome back.

I hope everyone has a good night.

That thing is just way too light.

I need to get out of here and up to put the rest of the coach lights up on the front, and an eave light on the south, as wel as the trims and bulbs on one or more of the eaves lights in the front (the ones I can reach without tall ladders). But I keep having distraction from friends in germany, banks, school things, and my son needing me to send him something from Amazon.

It did reach 31F per the watch so I won't freeze myself to death.
