From the Far Side.

At 9:22PM, it's 25° and snowing. 2" to 4" overnight, then rain /snow tomorrow going up to 36°. Not sure how this will turn out,but it will be wet and messy...Look at all the exercise, I'll get. clearing the driveway, and sidewalks.

Finally, the Christmas tree has been out away for another year, along with all the stray ornaments, that somehow missed the first time the tree was taken down. My Grandson was ecstatic to watch Buffalo take down the Steelers. Should be interesting when they play the Ravens, Granddaughter, was born the day the Ravens last won the Super Bowl....The Ravens are her team for life, plus the Ravens are Pop Pop's team.

Last I looked things weren't going well for Philadelphia, down in Tampa Bay almost half time.

Curt: Sorry to hear about your dental issues. At least you got in quickly and have a diagnosis with treatment going.

Speaking of snow, my son has 16" new fall on the ground. I'm really not interested in dealing with that... Other son, is dealing with more rain...

Hey all, I'm back again with questions...! I'm taking on a custom painting project this week, trying to recreate WSOR Northern Pass from a rivarossi baggage car. I would like to get a spray based paint, but I am really lost on what to get. I know it can't be gloss, but I really don't know what type of paint to get. Acrylic? Lacquer? Enamel? What brand should I buy? it all gets very confusing...

Good evening and burrrr. We hovered around 34 degrees most of the daylight hours, but come dark, 30 degrees. Predicted to go down into the mid-twenties tonight and stay there all day tomorrow. Icy road conditions plagued Houston all day, closing some major roadways including I-10 in both directions.

Willie & West Texas John - Not sure if you guys have this, but you can get up to date ERCOT data

I finished the station.

Drop into the espee passenger car thread. The primary there should be able to help you.

I drove by the house tonight to see the lights on in the dark. Taken from the road. Strange how the camera put two different color sheens on the same lights. one looks more pink and one more white. Same lights, about 30 seconds apart.

I stopped by Home Depot this evening and bought a flush mount LED to mount under the south eave / soffit (the wall that goes from the porch to the back of the house). There is just one light along the whole length.

BLIMEY --- MEL's going to have to hire another crew with all these night owls hanging around?

47 degrees here and that is not Centigrade -- thank goodness -- but I have seen 45C in the flesh!
Expected to be 69 degrees and mostly sunny for the next three days -- I didn't look any further.

Glad the PACK won, but I was hoping for some closer games on all accounts .. never carried for heavily one sided affairs?

Sorry that I have not been around the last few days, but have been having a few troubles with different items. I am behind a half dozen pages, or more. I may read the "lost" pages or at least some of them.
Pretty soon I will have my days and nights completely reversed?

By chance do you have other lights under the porch overhang? If not, what color is the bottom of the overhang there? Looks like it's reflecting a lot of those two coach lights down. But the Solo One to the right is without a reflecting surface above.

Actually the game had to be moved because of the NY governor’s decision. The NFL was not consulted

"That's what was also reported here. She unilaterally moved it and consulted with the NFL after the fact. I don't dispute the decision regardless of who made it. All of my life, I never understood why someone decided to establish Buffalo NY where they did! ;)"
"In 1825, after its harbor was improved, Buffalo was selected as the terminus of the Erie Canal, which led to its incorporation in 1832. The canal stimulated its growth as the primary inland port between the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. Transshipment made Buffalo the world's largest grain port of that era. After the coming of railroads greatly reduced the canal's importance, the city became the second-largest railway hub (after Chicago)."

Morning all,

-1° and clear, going for a high today of 24°. Almost all of the schools in the area are closed due to the wind chill and various other issues related to diesel busses and mechanical failure of heating systems.

Sitting in the City Council room this morning. Remoted into my computer which is running in the server room at city hall. The heat just kicked on and wherever it gets it's fresh air intake from, I can smell the diesel exhaust from the generator. It runs a weekly check at 6:35a every Tuesday.

Try to BBL as I have to be in a meeting from 8:00 to 12:00 today and was told it's really all week.

Good morning gang!

27° and cloudy, we got 5 inches of snow last night. I am sitting at my desk, over looking a frozen lot of cars. Schools are closed, but SWMBO has to be in at 10:00. I never understood why teachers get off with the kids, but central office staff has to be there?
While I type this one tech called in, can't make it in because his little 4wd Subaru can't get out of his neighborhood. Yeah boy racer, that cars really nifty, til 3 inches of snow hits. Idiot!
