Good morning gang, and insomniacs still buying razors.

19° and clear this morning. Good thing the wood stove is going! They are predicting a little snow for Tuesday and again next Friday. Til I see it, the chains stay off of the Cub and the snow blower stays in the shed.

Killed off the spiked egg nog last night around nine, started watching a video on YouTube and the wife woke me up in my puter chair around 1:30. I went to bed then and woke up at 6 fresh as a Daisey!

I did get a little more yard track laid yesterday but stock is getting low. Might work on little people today, after we make a run to BJ's and TSC and maybe HD.

The engine is brass, the station scratch built from photos of the original WM station at Thurmont MD as it appeared in the early 50s. Sadly it was razed in the 60s.

I'm ready for some playoff football!

Those greedy bastards in the NFL don't have any 1pm games scheduled. At least they have all of today's games on broadcast (free) TV. Yesterday's games were on Peacock. We have Peacock, but I worry for the kids who don't.

The two best/most interesting games, in my opinion, Pittsburgh @ Buffalo and Green Bay @ Dallas are both on at 4:30pm. Which one do I watch? The Buffalo game at 1pm would have solved that, but no! LA @ Detriot should be interesting but forget that I will be asleep before 8:30pm!

I stand corrected, the Pittsburgh @ Buffalo game is scheduled for 1/15/24

The high will be +1 and we have winds, not an outdoor day!

The indoor temperatures are 72f in the main level of the house. Indoor humidity is 37%. Downstairs in the expanded media/bar area it is 68. There is a discussion between my brother, my wife, my Endocrinologist who is great friends with Terry and the daughters best friend if it should be raised to 72?

The tail gate and watch party start at breakfast even though my brother is disrupting me in the kitchen. He had some of my jerk shrimp last night and it was too mild for him. He made his recipe last night and now he’s happy. The brother thankfully though is handling breakfast for about 16 at 9 and out of my way. All day grazing is encouraged today. Vehicle keys are given to the gate keeper when you enter (hubby of daughter’s best friend).

The outdoor preparations have been moved indoors and the brother will be helping. It’s just too nasty to use my outdoor area.

Sleep! I could not fall to sleep so stayed up till 3. Weathered 1 diesel. slept to just after 7am.

Win or lose today we should have a great time.

enjoy the day

Good morning. it;s cloudy and 50.

Troy, until you can make it to the box store, put a kettle of water on the stove, and set the heat to low. That will help evaporate enough water to make a difference. That's similar to what my cousin did in their floor-furnace-equipped house in the Winter. Only he put a pan of water on the register.

I thought that the Pittsburgh/Buffalo game was moved to Monday?

I do something similar. I have an old saucepan of water on top of the wood-burning stove.

Good afternoon all. The cheese, bacon and tomato pasty (my granddaughter, Julia calls it) turned out well and tasted really good. Was I a good teacher, or is Julia a good baker like her great, great grandmother?

Whatever, Dawn wants the both of us to bake some more. Not today though. Maybe next time Julia stays over.
