JOE - Man I feel so bad about your wife's condition and the astronomical cost of that drug. Surely there must be some way for a way to work around it?
Sherrel: Ever since she went on this, it's been a real expense, the first three months of the year...It didn't help, the Abbvie raised the retail price $1,000, the first of the year, and initially, we get to pay 33% until we fall into the donut hole, when our share falls to 25% until we fall into catastrophic, when the price falls to about $400/month for the next 9 months. There is no solution other than switching to another form of treatment, involving infusion.

which is covered as a Part A /Part B treatment, depending on where the infusion is performed.... The rest of it is juggling the budget to cope with the huge initial cost. Our old plan was subsidized by the Teamsters Pension Fund, ( The Locomotive Engineers merged with the IBT, making me eligible). That Part D Plan was a victim of the Teamsters Pension's Financial mismanagement, which required a bailout. I didn't know about this until late October...
I had to google rip-rap to see what it was.
Curt: I thought about that, after I posted the comments, it was the common term they used on the railroad. Considering the number of and Hurricanes since that railroad was built, the roadbed has mostly held over the years, even when flooded over.
I had carrots, and they worked pretty well until I ran out. After that, the horse rapidly lost interest in cooperating...
Horses can be very mercenary. First wife had retired Thorobreds, and a very mercenary pony who became like a mule when the carrots ran out.
32°, Still mostly cloudy, and still snow flurries. No problem, not planning on going anywhere tonight.
Painted the inside walls of a BB 50' gondola, a rust color, and stained the wooden floor, I'm installing. Watching paint / stain dry is boring, but at least, i managed to get something done for a change. I'm not very efficient at painting / weathering as some of our forum members are, but that's ok.
Opps, missed faceoff. gotta go.
