I'll stick with Willie Nelson - he can play an awesome guitar - and I can understaand the words he is singing - LOL.
The Nassau performance by the 'Outlaws' in the early 90's is my fav.
Sherrel: I completely agree. Their rendition of the "City of New Orleans" was the best ever. Who would think that they would pack 'em in at the Nassau Coliseum ? The Highwaymen was a collaboration by four of the best.

On another subject, while it was dated, the Nassau Coliseum was the best arena to watch a hockey game. Great atmosphere.

Bridges bridges everywhere....finally finishing up a valley and placing the bridges on the UP Rainier and Pacific. Last coat of polyurethane on the water and first bridge glued in! Next one with track and some tweaking of weathering ("grime wash" on base...its why it looks wet...it is ;) ) on the bench...tomorrow both in...excited to run trains on this section again...

Louis, the terms eating and McDonalds are never to be expressed in the same context. 🤮 Yes, it may taste good going down, but it won't coming back up.
"Holy mackerel Andy! I'm surprised!

When my pancreatitis was at its worst, I was given weeks to live. When I could tolerate eating, I could count on a McDonalds hamburger to make me feel a little better. It never came up or, in my case, moved too quickly through.

The "heathy" diet the doctor put me on nearly killed me. She gave up and told me "Eat whatever you can". That was about 15 years ago and I'm still here! :)

Not for nothing, a Mickey D ¼ Pounder w/o cheese is as good as anyone else's ¼ Hamburger on a roll. OK, it's frozen, like the frozen burgers they sell for the grill, but WTF, when one is hungry, and it's 3:00 AM and McDonalds on Tonelle Ave is the only place open...that burger tastes mighty good. BTW, I haven't been to one since 2020 and don't miss them either.

Dollar for dollar the only burger I like better is my wife's homemade burgers, Nothing is better than my wife's burgers, at any price!

I only go to McDonalds a few times a year. We seldom eat any takeout or restaurant food more than once a month. My wife packs me an apple, banana, and a sandwich when we are on the road. I was exceptionally hungry the other day.

LOng time no be here. Had sis's funeral wk ago. Son had bad Karma, someone drilled hole in the ford tremors gastank while we were parked in hotel lot. found a used one in SASK. wont be ready for a wk, just in time for when he gets back from Hawaii.
Too many "fav" string pluckers to mention them all. would not be able to pick a numero uno.
Hopefully the Oilers make it 6 in a row tonight, I might be able to stay awake long enough to watch first period. I dont follow US football at all
nothing train related from a personal perspective, sorry.

Best hockey arena. The old Chicago Stadium even with the cigarette smoke. IMO and second was the Montreal Forum. Watching Jean Beliveau or Guy LaFluer coming up ice was chilling as a visitor. It was a close second only because the crowd wasn’t as loud as Chicago when Hull was coming up ice.

Even standing room only in Chicago on the rim of the ceiling you were still close enough to the ice. You missed nothing. Most games as a kid dad could only get standing room only. Saw Bobby Hull score his 50th in Chicago twice when it was a rarity for a NHL players to get 50. Thought the roof was going to come down.

And we have a winnah!

Direct from the great midwest, even with an 18 - 20 day production delay, the tonneau cover was the 1st item to the front porch. Followed 2 hours later by the Dewalt batteries from New Jersey. Item from China has left the hub in New York today and is somewhere between here and there, and finally, NO update on my Etsy order :(.

Willie, Where would you rank Mark Knopfler

or the guitar pioneer Dick Dale, pioneer of surf rock?

Myself, I could watch Knopfler for hours

Mark is in my top five. Seeing him live in the late 80's was a fantastic experience from the 12th row.
I like Dick Dale as well, but I would probably rank him in the top 20. I should actually make a list to see where I would put him.
Again, putting this into context, I am only ranking rock artists. I bet that there are some jazz or flamenco guitarists that are also outstanding.

NIce rocks and excellent cold water

Except for liver, Italian sausage and asparagus, I agree with you! There may be others. but I can't think of any.
I do eat liver as liver but as pate I like it, or in potted meat eg lamb liver and lamb shoulder blended into a pate like but gravy on the meat
there are so many Italian sausages most I eat with relish
and asparagus love it but turns my pee green and smells, asparagus soup or spears in butter yum yum
