WILLIE - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! i SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ON TOP OF THAT!
Also, GUY, I only celebrate the fact that I am still here, but with the current political spectrum, may need to re-think that over!

CHRISTIAN: Put a smile on my face to see you again! What's a 'MONFORT'?

JAMES: I caught a 35 pound tuna while on a cruise years back. Sure gave me a tug for a while. Prior to that was mostly 4-5 pound Bass from the Arkansas lakes. That's quite a haul there - you had!

MIKEY - A real shame that those layouts cou;dn't stay year round!

Christian: Welcome Back! Ovals are fine. That is basically all I have now. No layout. I was just mainly running trains until we started the house project in earnest.

Morning All!

-17F under a cloudy sky, but, those who are supposed to be in the know say it's not going to snow again.
I need to go clean up the old peoples walks.
Then, I'm headed downtown to get my 3rd shot. - According to the anti-vaxers, I won't be back because the third shot is committing suicide. Or at least, it's going to turn me into a robot slave for the government. So, I suppose by 3pm I'll either be dead or will do anything you'all ask. Just don't ask me to shovel snow; please!

Willie & Sherrel - Thanks! As a matter of fact, I have a 1/2 roll of roofing tar paper in the shed. I'm going to rip off a strip, and see how it works out. I'll paint it 'anthracite' though, instead of leaving it black.

Happy Birthday, Willie. That's another day I don't celebrate, though. I can't figure out why people celebrate getting older!

Not much time right now, so I'm just going to leave another re-run photo, and head over to clean up that walk.
A pair of SD40-2w's. I hate the NA map paint job, but, I like the weathering.

Have a great day, one and all!
just wonderin - what happens if these 2 have a tug of war?

This snow is like wet concrete. 50 miles of I-95 interstate has been closed down since last night. Thousands of cars and trucks all over the road. Can't get a plow through because of the vehicles. Hundreds out of gas, no food or water and miles from anything.
Of course this is being blamed on the incoming Governor who will swear in next week.

Apparently, people do not pay attention to weather forecast. As it was discussed on the news networks for days before the storm started. Nonetheless in the winter months I always have a emergency supply of winter items in my truck when I travel. Blanket, food (granola bars etc), lots of water bottles, even sugar type candy, flashlights, gloves winter style hat, etc. I always top off my truck every couple of days during the week as well if it gets down to 3/4 or 1/2 tank it gets filled up. I also keep typical utility tools in back of my truck as well which is a norm for me. Tow rope, shovel, 2 bags of sand, 2 chains and a jump pack battery starter. Ya never know...

Sometimes it's hard for me to feel sorry for people that just do not pay attention or use common sense. That is just me though.....not saying I don't help people in need though if I am there etc.

I carry lots of winter stuff in my trunk. My DIL saw all my *emergency* stuff set out on the driveway while I was organizing it all. She asked what it all was for & why I needed it. I said you never know. She showed me her emergency supplies .

I'll have to admit I am closer to your DIL in terms of preparedness than I should be. I've had other stuff in the past but have gotten lax

Yo: 33° and delightfully sunny as I write this. No snow for me...I heard all the "Snowmegedon" forecasts , and the most we had was a dusting on unpaved surfaces. As usual the forecast for my area was wrong...There was a totally different situation just 10 to 15 miles South of me where they had 5 to 8 "+ accumulation. But....not here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIE!

Welcome back Christian..
