My son who is 36 sort wishes instead of the implants he had gone with dentures. He keeps putting off the next 2 implants even though he has found a different dentist.Well I thought I was having teeth put on the 4 implants today but that will take another 2 visits. This is turning out to be a 10-month process. I guess Wille explained it all in his post. If you plan on having implants it's takes a long time and lots of money.

Thanks Guy. I made my tie piles 5x5 and just ordered 1/32” and 1/16” chartpak tape for banding. The pin stripping I have will be used as 3“ tie downs for the whole load on a flat car.Hi again!
I'm too lazy to go out and shovel right-a-way, so I'm having another wake up coffee!
I took these photos in 2020, at our local CN yard. Thought they might prove useful for those trying to model the tie-piles.

The tie pile was fairly consistent height and width wise, compared to others laid along the side of the tracks.
Back to my coffee!
So : still just t shirt & shorts weather ?!Morning - where it is an even 32F - coldest day of the year = so far.
Supposed to be 61F and moostly sunny later on.
I may go with a few RR friends. I know their going. Next time I go to his house I'm going to take a few photos of his collection. It's amazing.

James if I go I'm meeting my friends there because they live in Hyde Park, NY. I'll email you my phone number and we can talk about it when it gets close to going. My friend's whole life revolves around golf and model railroading. I revolve around golf, model railroading and the horses. You know about the horses because you use to hot walk them. We'll see what happens. GeorgeLet's keep in touch leading up to it! It would be great to meet you in person there and the other fellas! I will be going on Saturday and will be there from open to close. I usually grab dinner before heading back home after the show as well.
I can attest to the fact you don't need you're 'pinkie' to function. It is a useful digit, if one can hang onto it, though. My right pinkie was digested by a large dog some years back, and my left always acts up, as if it misses the right.I was out in the *bush* over yr end wkend. 11 pages in 2 1/2 days.! I just yest heard a story of 2 ladies splittin wood with one of those 2-4 ton electric splitters. Apparently you are not to put hands or fingers betwixt the *Maul* & the end of the wood being split. Heard it entails a trip to Dr. to see if pinkie end can be reattached or if whole digit has to come off. Apparently it is option 2. Heard the Doc was amazed it wasnt the whole hand. (which is possible, but should never be probable) why hand is in that position & why control operator doesnt see what could be happpening, I dont' understand.
SolomonsWhat!! No wellies?![]()
What a wonderful keepsake! You should be very proud!just came across this letter I had forgotten about, thought I'd share it
I was once conned into a local anaesthetic for a filling, yes seems rediculous now,but hey ho, finding my bra done up incorrectly wised me up fast! I was young twenties too embarrassed to tell parents, too stupid to not sue, anyway I avoid dentist like the plaque afoer a second incident where a cleaning was making my mouth bleed a LoT and when I complained she called me a baby, I got up and left mid way refused to pay, and I am now in my 6th decade just and have all my teeth barring two wisdom removed, and one filling - another dentist said he was surprised about that filling! I have a check up if in pain, ignore most of what they say I should do,and yet I have very very healthy teeth I use toothpaste with the repair items and do as many of the number as possible, when going out under Covid I also use alcoholic mouth wash as it kills germsThose advertisements about implants in 1 day trouble me. I was prepped for an implant. They took the tooth out then had to pack particle bone down in the jaw where the tooth roots were then let that set for about 6 months. They merely sewed the flesh back over the tooth socket till later. Turns out that dentist was a hustler for business and took advantage of what the patients didn't know about. Also fibbed about insurance coverage. I found another dentist but he's turning out to be another business pumper as well.
He is on DCC concepts forums doing the same again,I wonder he does not get bored.I can't help but think Christian was toying with us. So many posts making minor adjustments to a simple track pattern but never going beyond that. Couldn't get a rise out of anyone so he moved on but I would suspect he's still watchin.
Yep. You were smarter than a fish.I can assure you that fishing is more than a hobby for me. I strive to eat organic and not store bought meat but I love the comment it's hilarious
Here's a salmon that got fileted and smoked ......then eaten. 25 lbs of meat after fileted. It weighed 38lbs caught on a 10x fly rod and took me 20 minutes or so to net it.
Plus I am banned from wellies the ortho paediatric said not enough support for my ankle, I have the ones the marines like 1 and 1/2 sizes too big so I get in 2 pairs of socks, for warm tootsies, if you have not guessed I hate the cold.Solomons

I agree with you Ken. I believe he has this unique sense of humor.I found another dentist but he's turning out to be another business pumper as well.
I never heard or seen this railroad and I assume it's a upper mid-western short-line. A few of their cars would be a natural fit for my railroad. Need to check around for some rolling stock.I noticed the green boxcar in the back ground there in your picture. the Marinette, Tomahawk & Western Railway Company! I have a few of the cars.
Man that is appalling,My first post of the new year. I don't recall the last time I posted in here. I know it has been some time. I have never been happier to see a year end than 2021. I lost so much that was dear to me in 2021. Lost two grandparents as well as my dad. Found out on 4 December that my dad had gotten COVID. Flash forward to 15 December and he was gone. Had his funeral the Monday before Christmas. So Christmas was a tough one. The passing of my dad took away the last remaining person of wisdom I had. Now life lessons will have to be learned the hard way without any guidance. In other news. I have started planning my next build. I loaded up on quite a few layout planning books. Primarily focused on bench work and wiring. I'll be receiving my C&O book this week that I pre ordered back in the summer. It's focused more on modelers than anything else. The turn out for it was well below expectations. So I doubt there will be any more books like it coming out in the future. It's sad to see my current layout go. It was fun to operate and still is as long as I'm at track speed and not switching speed. I exhausted trying to fix the track and combat the warps. I haven't built on it in quite some time. So it's time to try a new approach to this. I have to win sometime. At least I hope I can win. I'll definitely stay away from cut 2x4s. They are the primary reasons for the warps anyways. I should be able to salvage the 1x4s and the plywood. As I stapled my roadbed down. Who knows? I may just scrap the whole thing. Well that's all I have for now. Figured I would come out of hiding for a little bit. Hope everyone is doing well.
