We left Christensted, USVI yesterday it was 88f degrees. 4.5 hours later landed in Wisconsin to 31 degrees but with a windchill of 18. Neither of us wanted to get off the plane but the brother said, “go” while laughing.
Yep we are home. Today will not be as warm as yesterday with the guessers saying 29.
The golf was better than I expected. The course was short at 6000 yards but adequate to get the competitive juices flowing. As Troy mentioned in his travelogue the VirginIslands were hit with Cat5 hurricanes back to back Irma and Maria in September 2017 11 days apart. While Christiansted seemed back together the rest of the island is still in need of help but FEMA was pulled out after about 3 months. The rest is political crap so I’ll skip that. They are USA citizens
Consensus about returning was a majority no. The vote 8 yes, 16 no. The next event is Texas in March. I’m debating playing or not. I was asked if I felt healthy enough to again oversee the event scheduling. I’m not sure and surprisingly Terry thought it’d be a good idea. I knew when I resigned in 2024 my health wasn’t right but it wasn’t it turns out because of the golf events. The daughter and her friend worked for me for 18 months but they couldn’t handle it full time because of family (mainly hockey) commitments for both. The person doing it now I would toss the day I start but I did not say yes.
Work session at 9am on the layout where the swing Bridge, power plant, truss bridges and paper mill are going. The session was still going strong when I left at 2pm. 6 plus the owner. 4 stringing wiring and 2 of us hanging Barrina 4’ tube LEDs to light deck #2
We were home by 3 yesterday so at 7:40 we went and saw the movie Werthering Heights. It has a handshake relationship to the book read back in English Lit in High School. It was ok, a movie only the person seeing it can say if they liked it or not. It’s hard to describe but if you’re a movie goer, go see it. If you occasionally go out to the movies wait for it to show up on a streaming device.
Brief grocery shopping yesterday for re-stocking some essentials, like milk and deli meat. Terry needed eggs. Dinner at home was a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on the outside gas grill and was excellent. Diet Dr Pepper is still $2.99 per 16.9oz. 6 packs. I didn’t need any though.

I think we’ve all made that mistake. When I do graffiti now (the rare hand drawn custom) or decals I find the 8’ height mark from the ground and dry fit the decals 1st to see how they look.
I would fill your space below the graffiti with a background cover up color
