Snarky Old Fart (in training)
Well, howdy there internet peeps and those checking themselves twice or more,
It's Troy again.
Not much happened today. Put some already painted orcs onto the bases, and used some of that Woodland scenics blended turf to blend them in and cover the foot glue joints to the base.
I took the wife out to 3-Fires pizza (where she wanted to go) for dinner:
It's hand tossed and wood-fired yumm. All meat, appropriately called the "Carne" pizza. - A bit of Spanish Lingo for those of you in Rio Linda.
While there, I figured I'd keep the theme going and told the wife about Ken Patterson's layout fire. Told her he's going nuts over flamable foam board used on layouts.
"Well, isn't everything on your layout flameable?" she asked.
I thought, and after a moment said "real stone ballast, plaster, and unpainted rails aren't... but the rest pretty much is..." Even the ground foam used in flock, and the nylon in static grass is.
Back to Bad Bunny at Half-time....
For those of you wondering why they have a half-time show, I direct your attention to any high school football game on Friday night under the lights (outside of tourney season). Gives the marching band something to do, I guess.
Friday nights meant a lot of work for me as a news photographer. Shoot first quarter and a half at one game, drive like mad to get to the second game. Photograph some feature shots of the band doing their thing, get some cute little kid cheering pics, some cheerleader pics... then at least one quarter of action, rush back to the newsroom and start souping the film... We published Saturday morning, so no time to waste.
At least the front page editor was happy I got shots of the Band, or the cheerleaders to fill in space on page 1.
