I checked my e-mails and saw an ad for someone running for office.

The persons name is : Earl LeRoy "Buddy" Carter

My first thought, after reading this guys name was : "Hey, hold my beer and watch this".
Is that a "red-neck" name or what? 🤪

I think the folks at Bar Mills are masochists. There is about 50 of each of these itty bitty pieces that need to be folded in 90 shapes, peeled and applied to the corners of the building.

Cool! Glad you were able to getthe 50% after so long. I claimed within the year of retirement as I was told to do, which I find was not really a requirement. My buddy told me that he claimed several years after he retired and got around 70%. As I was working a new job and in Japan, I didn't have time to really understand the process, had no VA support, and had the US Naval Hospital do my physicals and checks. I ended up with 0% with the USNH placing the verbiage "not service related" to CYA. Well, 12 years go by and my friend tells me he got his claim redone and got more. I started asking the USNH doc about it and he said that the USNH cannot do VA claims as it was deemed a conflict of interest. When I start going back to the VA and other claim services about reopening my case, they all won't touch it with a 10 ft stick. They quickly change the subject back to submitting a new claim. My friend told me which service he used and they helped me get some for the three things that were rated, but at 0%. I want to add tinnitus, but can't log back in to the VA website (long story).

3 of my new hires got 100%. 1 of them used to jump out of perfectly good airplanes for a living. 1 of my old buddies got upgraded to 100% after he started talking to the doc and the doc asked him about the gulf war. Then all the horrors came washing back that he had buried and ended up getting diagnosed with PTSD during that visit. I asked if he was going to get a support honey badger, but he said no. He did get a handicapped parking sticker though.

One thing to consider is your life expectancy. If your family is long lived and you are healthy, then no worries. If everybody dies early, then better to enjoy what you have left. I have seen too many of my friends die right after they retired. One guy was having strokes as he was working, but still would not retire. The company forced him to retire and he died the next month.
 


Pleasant day today, hit 72 and sunny and breezy. The Missus gave me a haircut, I got the leaves out of the garage and got some tank cars in the mail. Also, got some ribbons for a game convention in September. Sadly, some gamers suffer from a hygiene deficiency and the ribbons I give out chide them over it. The ribbon reads "Gamers against gamey gamers, go take a bath!" I gave them out at last year's con and they were very popular.

THOSE are the ones that make a bad name for gamers. even when I go to my gaming place they have the magic tornement in the basement which has no ac or heating and boy let me tell u some of them boys and girls need some intimate time with the soap lol

I haven't been to a gun show in over a decade, but anyone that has will confirm that there are smells that pass you by that are only found in garbage landfills.
