Just in case they say "Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you..." can you start early?

I have a suspicion about that employer of yours.
If the place I currently work tells me "good bye" at 9:00 AM, I can start at the new place at 9:30AM. Only because it'll probably take me at least a half hour to borrow a truck and move my stuff.

Swal - My guess for the number one rock song on the program that you watched was "Stairway to Heaven". It seems to top all lists and has for at least 30 years.
WILLIE Stairway to Heaven Number 1 song but I was also looking for the guy you like Peter Frampton because I don't know much about him. His name never came up or the bands he played in. He never had a song that was good enough to make the top 100?

I do like Peter Frampton and I have followed him from the days when he and Steve Marriot formed Humble Pie. He made a whole lot of good music over the course of his career, but never hit it big with any singles. That despite several songs being released from his landmark album "Frampton Comes Alive". "Do You Feel Like We Do" was just too long to make any Top 100 lists.

Fantastic day today. 58°, mostly sunny, and mild. Restored the bird feeder pole, and feeder a few feet away from the previous location. I cannot get over the unstable ground where the flower garden was. Undermined by tunneling chipmunks. The heavy rains caused the tunnels to collapse. I have to re do the garden with new dirt. Tomorrow will be about the same, except cloudy with a 50% chance of rain.

Quick stop at ShopRite this morning for a few essentials. We celebrated national Pizza Day with a 4 cheese pizza.

My order of Walthers #6 code 70 switches arrived today, along with additional code 70 flex. I have some improvements planned. Hopefully, I'll get some model painting done before the rain.

Willie- You are a music encyclopedia! I had no idea Peter Frampton was in Humble Pie.

I knew who both were, but never knew that tidbit!

Hi Folks!

Terry - Great news on the job relocation. Myself, I don't think I'm a nice enough person to give the old, abusive company any notice. I'd just be picking up my tools and telling them to find someone else.

How do you decide which all inclusive resort to go to? ie about 20-30 of them in Cancun area. what are the narrow it down factors? I limited my search to adults only & still a ton of choices.
Being cheaper than a wooden nickel, I always put cost as the deciding factor. Mind you, I'd probably wind up in a red-light district, back-alley motel that's cartel managed. Course, I'd prefer to holiday in Alaska or the Yukon.

Not much to say today, but, I'm tired.
Here's a picture I took of a boat, just so I can say I dropped down a photo when I'm plumb out of new train photos:

Have a good night!

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those looking at fresh employment!

It's Troy again... finally got the ai to give me an avatar without a beard... Unfortunately, it's an ai, so extra fingers may be found occasionally.

Not much going on here today. I'm working through another advertising mentor's set of videos... After dropping about two+ grand on advertising and shopify store setup training last year, I wish I'd found this one sooner. Finding a mentor that speaks my language is always difficult. Most people that excel in fields like that are numbers oriented, or driven to succeed. I'm neither. My brain is more about the shiny bauble over ther– SQUIRREL! OVER THERE!

That's my brain.

has never had the experience of getting their brain sidetracked chasing shiny squirrels. Yes, there's probably some ADHD in there. I just learn to live with the way my brain works. That's why I get up at 4 am-ish. If I can skip social media (harder than it sounds) and start writing, I can usually get the words worded. The rest of the day is devoted to whichever shiny squirrel is darting around the flashiest.

Speaking of flashy... my ai Image Generator really doesn't understand the "model" part of model trains/railroads....

Good Morning All. Cloudy here and 49°. The rain is close, maybe 30 miles away right now, but that won't come this way. It's what's going to come by in another hour or so that might hit me. They're predicting a half inch. Tomorrow has the same forecast.

A little rain will help settle in all of the onions that I planted this week. Although the ground had sufficient moisture and I soaked the roots for a few hours ahead of time, a good slow rain always helps. Those that I planted last week got their "settling-in" rain last Saturday. The near freezing temperature coming Monday night should not negatively affect them, as they normally can survive air temperatures down to 19°. In other gardening activity, I did finish spreading shredded wood chips on that last 60 ft². If I don't have an opportunity to till them in, I will hoe them in when I prepare future planting beds. The wood chips are essential to loosening up my heavy clay soil.
I did get a chance to cut up some of next years firewood, not much, but slow progress is better than no progress. Weather today will dictate my activities.

I did some more ground foam in the cemetery out in the train shed yesterday. I planned on starting on trees, but the inspiration just wasn't there. Instead, I did a small project on a semi-truck that I got from Mikey a while back.
Underside looked like this.
IMG_1324.JPG

I cut those struts off and drilled out mounting holes for one out of the detail collection. They turned out to be hollow!
IMG_1326.JPG

IMG_1327.JPG

Being that I felt obsessive yesterday, I filled in the holes even though they would never be visible.
IMG_1329.JPG

Some mud flaps were also added, later painted black.
IMG_1328.JPG

Marker and tail lights were added, as was a spraying of Dull Coat.
IMG_1331.JPG

And voila!

I'll be weathering it as soon as I get out the weathering powders, and probably do a couple of freight cars while I have them on the work bench.
Meanwhile, work on the cemetery will continue.

Hughie - The Franklin & South Manchester is my all time favorite model railroad after my own. Even though it is an era and locale that I don't model, George's attention to detail and his use of small mini-scenes has always been an inspiration to my modeling. See the grass/weeds growing along the building foundation in the following picture.
Jaz - Girls loitering on a street corner in the US.

Curt - Get well soon. I have to give photo credit to the gentleman who was with me, Dick Beall.
Terry - Awesome news. Sometimes it makes one wonder if you should have asked for more!!!
Mike - Rock music is one of my top 5 passions along with model trains, organic gardening and beer. Can't mention the 5th since this is a family-friendly forum.

Regarding the ongoing music discussion yesterday: I was never particularly fond of Stairway to Heaven, LZ had better songs especially on their first album. Loved Free Bird, but like Stairway, it was/has been overplayed. Louis, I agree that Queen might have been a little overrated, but not nearly as much as I think that Black Sabbath was overrated. I do like Tony Iommi quite a lot though.

Today is the Chinese New Year, so I guess we won't be seeing any of our Oriental forum members today.

Everybody out there, have a good day, and have a great weekend. Oh! I think that there's a football game tomorrow that I won't be watching.
