Looked back over the vendors stuff and found my coupler covers. Guy said he had gone out and gotten additional stock out of his trailer when the crowd died down, so I have those. I am also now the owner of a Great Northern F7A made by Intermountain.
Is an E unit really bigger than an F unit?
Glad that you found the coupler covers. Normally I would have sent you some, but that is one Athearn part that I don't have any spares of. When needed, I just jury-rigged a Kadee cover on the Athearn box, or removed and replaced it all together.
Yes, "E" units are a good 20' longer than "F" units. Nearly 3" longer in HO scale.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those dealing with alarm notifications and/or conniving and well fed bats...

It's Troy again.

got to play some Pathfinder Role Play today. Enjoyable. Yes, the starburst candies are the monsters
yes we get to snack on them when they're defeated.

My dude is the white one in the back with two swords... during that encounter, the critters kept rejuvenating and standing back up after the party dropped them. Fire damage took them down and they stayed there. I had the bow that shot magic flaming arrows. Hit the first round, then nope, nope, nope, nope, and... finally on the last one left, with one hit point left, I scored a hit and got to eat the monster.

E-units' trucks were A-1-A configuration. That is the center axle was an idler (not powdered). Modern road switchers (SD-xx) that have three axles per truck are C configuration, that is all the axles on a three-axle truck are powered. The F-units and GP have two axles per truck, B configuration.
The A-1-A trucks provided a smoother ride at high speeds (sometimes as fast or faster than 100 mph, when the tracks were in good shape.

Saturday afternoon. Last few days have been balmy...50's -60's. Rained overnight, changing to snow, and still snowing! Not all that cold, but when it gets dark, it will be slicker than owl grease! Looks like we've had at least six inches of wet snow and still snowing! Next door neighbor got his snow blower out and plowed the sidewalk and our driveway. Nice of him. I wouldn't attempt shoveling at my age (81-1/2). That would be takin' a trip down coronary gulch! Oh, well, it will probably warm up next week. Got plenty of food in the house and the fridge in the garage. Dogs both have to go out once in a while, though. Just have to be careful! Working on sorting papers, and starting on the article I'm hoping to sell to one of the model railroad magazines on making a 2-10-4 out of parts from two Mantua Mikes. Done it before, but took photos of each step this time.

See the B-1B's involved in today's attacks in the Middle East, staged out of Dyess AFB, Texas, like I thought. They're normally based out of Ellsworth, but the runways up there are shut down due to repairs from the crash of a "Bone" (B-one). Glad they're back safe!

Good morning from Hilton Head Island. A good but chilly day yesterday and I am looking forward to the warmth of Florida this afternoon. 3 more days of golf start Sunday there. Of the 60 playing here in South Carolina only 10 brought along the spouse or girlfriend. Florida will have about 30 with them as there will be many more choices for them than SC had.
Tom I remember about 7 years ago I stooped in NC on my way to FL. I played 1 round with a classmate, and it was cold but it wasn't as cold as the round I played here today. It was really cold. I did hit the par 3 second green and won $28.00 for the effort. Missed the 8 ft birdie putt though.

Swap, congrats on a win. That is always a great feeling. Sort of like every now and then hitting that perfect shot to make you want to continue to play!

Good morning all. A cloudy day with a cold wind blowing. Hopefully it will blow the rain that is forecast away.

Yesterday was a 'good day' for Dawn. The night time not so. She has been awake most of it. A case of riding the bad times through to the good.

Dawn and I watched a film 'LAST FLAG FLYING' Quite a lot of the film was on Amtrak trains and a shot of Penn Station NY.
Not quite the film that Dawn was expecting, but we enjoyed it nontheless.

Sherrel. Stay positive. You have our support and prayers to come through it.

Good afternoon from a miserable time sitting in an airport. Boy, I sure haven’t missed this crap. Get here for a flight and the plane is not here yet. Arrives hopefully at 3pm which is 90 minutes after we should have taken off.

Received a text from the son that he went this morning out to a residence to quote on Vulture abatement. Pulls up at a West Lake address that is a high end Austin neighborhood. Walks around does his thing and the owner invites him inside the house. Next to the bar is his model trains and the son says my dad is into trains. Brian is looking at some cars and says my dad does some weathering and at Christmas had a few that looked similar. Turns out they ARE my cars! Small world!

I am about to watch the grandson play hockey back in Wisconsin. All his games are streamed so I will watch this one live. It starts in 15 minutes. Normally I watch them late at night before bed and fast forward to just when he is on the ice. They won the 1st game of State tournament qualifying last night 6-1 after losing 3 of 4 times to that team in regular season. He had 1 goal 2 assists in one of the best games the whole team has played. They have to win today and again tomorrow if they want to qualify for State. He did get a penalty for telling the referee he missed a call. His dad told me they had to talk to him last night about keeping his mouth shut during a game.
Been there, done that! I've started calling Delta Delay-ta!
