i resemble this remark. I’ll eat Lima beans and egg plant but never willingly agree or choose them on a menu. (Though Asian style egg plants are much better).

same with Okra.

my wife wants me to eat Natto. Supposed to be good for you. It is fermented soy beans. It probably even tastes good* but the thought of it is enough to kill any interest.

*I did try a bite once and it kind of tasted like dirt, but I don’t know if I had prepared it right. Some people really like it and naturally fermented foods are good for you.
Natto soybean is good for women, it heiightens estrogen, good for older women, I would personally not recommend it for a bloke, if you do not like it , Google this and show her as a reasonable reason to not. I like miso which is that and soy sauce also estrogen for same reason I like the flavour and it is good for me being female.

When I dislocated my knee and broke my ankle I did not go up higher than 4ft as I hit the top half of the stable door, but hitting the concrete floor is something I do not remember painful or otherwise, I do remember that the ambulance crew thought I was ott until a doctor told me my knee displacement was really bad I felt bad about the fuss, and he said they do not normally recommend a general anaesthetic but he was not expecting to place it back and it could take 30 minutes of excruciating pain until they would get me to theatre, having heard some bloke screaming for ages I said yeah anaesthetic and after I came round and he had rep, aced it - he said he was really chuffed he had got it back in place, so height is not the issue how hard you come down and on what, the doctor thought the damage was done going up and smacking the door, he was worried about my head but I felt no pain, although the next day a lump appeared, and only as they were ready for me to ‘walk’ on the kneee and I couldn’t did they even realise the ankle was gone as well, I had to wait for a consultant to look and agree that yes it needed a pin BUT it was in such a bad place I w ould be in permanent pain, and they would see if I could follow theiy instructions and try a cast only, luckily that worked out I rarely notice that ankle, but the knee continues to be a pain.
So Smudge be damn grateful you tail bone took the fall.
My tailbone and my butt always take the brunt when I fall, I'll deliberately twist my body so I hit the floor butt first, more padding there than anywhere else, apart from round my waist, I just caught my tailbone as well this time.

This ones for you Chris!

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 56° in this neighborhood. The weather forecast kinda was correct for last evening, we did have high winds but not nearly the 50 mph that was predicted and the heavy thunderstorm never materialized. It did rain briefly, but there wasn't anything in the rain gauge this morning. Meanwhile mid-70's today and 82° tomorrow.

Not a lot going on around the SFW estate right now. Yesterday was mainly household chores and I pruned several large branches off a Honey Locust tree behind the train shed. Might cut them into logs today, maybe not. I have to run an errand 45 miles away this morning. Corned Beef and Cabbage supper last night was superb, my wife stepped in to cook the cabbage for me, new recipe with bacon. Everything is better with bacon! Tonight will be hamburgers on the grill and maybe sweet potato fries. Judging from the current weather forecast, the next two nights will be great for grilling as well, no wind. Temperature doesn't bother me, I've grilled many times when the temperature was below freezing.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued the ground cover around the Ethanol refinery. Here's a couple of areas done over the weekend.

Slowly but surely I am making progress.
While waiting for the glue/water to set up, I pulled out the next import from the Logan Valley RR that traveled down from Montana. This is a Woodland Scenics built-up model of a trailer that I think is known as "Grillin' and Chillin' trailer". If I recall correctly, it was the last structure that Chet added to the layout.

This brings up a question regarding the "Just Plug" line of products from WS. What is the output in volts from their lighting hub? This has a plug for plugging into the hub.
IMG_3095.JPG

I would just cut this off and wire it directly into my lighting buss. I have searched the Internet and the only answer that I can find is what their power supply outputs to the hub; nothing about the hub output. The answer from their website is:
Light Hub Ports are designed as current sources, not voltage sources. Each Light Hub Port provides up to 30 milliamps (mA) of current.
I can use either 3v or 12v with or without a resistor, just need to know?

Tom O - I hope that you weren't driving too far after a liter of German beer!
Curt - I have to credit Chet for the market interior. There is an amazing amount of detail inside. I will have to give it a place of prominence on my layout so it can all be seen.

Everyone have a great day today and every day.

Think I might have missed yesterday? Been sort of underwater - so to speak!
#1 is that we dropped Direct TV - signed up with U-Tube TV -- and with my zero knowledge of electronics ... everything is sort of in a mire at this time.

Well - you will not hear me complaining about rain for a while! This year has been a wet one and I have not seen this much water here in 30 years; the last "heavy" rains we had were in 93 when the Old Town section found it's self waist deep in water from downright biblical rainfall. Currently we are within sight of doubling our annual rainfall with four months left in the season.

FLO, glad you are open this morning: Plz have MEL cook me up a CFS with two eggs up, biscuits and gravy on the side and throw some grits on the plate too!
I'll see if i can steal a little coffee from Smudge and Karl!

Be back in a flash!

Uber home. I can’t handle beer very well as when it comes to any booze I have always been a happy light weight.

Good very wet morning from So. Central Wisconsin where now they are worried about ice dam build up on the creeks and streams in the area. Local road flooding or small stream bridge outs are occurring. Around 10 last night the rains arrived. They have continued all night often at times heavy. It’s coming down very heavy right now. The sump pump has been pumping every 5 minutes or so. Thankfully the temperatures have not dropped below 34 since Saturday.

Well, howdy there Internet Peeps, and those who know what today is.

I'll have a white Russian, Flo. And waffles.

Went to dump and clean the cat's auto water fountain - something I do every Monday morning.

And tweaked back muscle bending down. Kicking myself for laying off the stretches the last couple of days. My sciatica finally settled down.

So, post-shower, I'm in the writing chair with the heating pad and some Aleve in me.

No worries, tho. The cat has a clean water fountain, with a fresh filter.

He'd like you all to know THAT IT'S GOING TO STORM TODAY! He gets antsy with rain. More so if the B-pressure changes. And we've got T-storms in the forecast for this afternoon. So he's demanding a lot of attention.

OH, and happy Hangover to the Dudes (Non-gender specific in a SoCal LA surfer way) who are celebrating with The Dude. Happy Hangover!

I'll be watching the Dude, Walter, and Donnie tonight. Beverage in hand (probably a bourbon). No marmot though. The cat would get jealous.

You wouldn't find grass in any petrochemical plant, with the exception of on berms around a tank farm. In fact, they hire companies to come in and spray some purple stuff on anything green. Generally, you find gravel or caliche or at the very least, stabilized shell. I think they use these types of cover so in case of a spill, they can easily scrape up the material with front end loaders and shovels, then put in plastic lined drums for disposal.
