I've been seeing these old molded HO scale layout forms on Facebook Marketplace lately. As a kid, I really wanted one for the instant scenery without the work and without the mess. Never had one, but they still hold a strange appeal to me. Not sure I've ever seen either of these two before.

Good evening: 40°, cloudy with rain and fog predicted after midnight.

Back in the 1950s, the PRR painted three GG1s in SIlver, with a single red stripe. They were intended for service on the Congressionals and the Senator, but found themselves used on just about everything passenger, in electrified territory. AHM, IHC, BLI, Bachmann and MTH among others manufactured examples of these GG1s, well beyond the relatively rare three painted in silver. Here are photos of all three units.

Funny how many models were made of unusual color schemes, and how limited the examples of more common DGLE painted variations there were in relation. 4801-4856 with flat pilots were not produced until just several years ago (BLI). 4800 (Prototype) never produced in plastic.

Good morning gang!

51° and cloudy with a high expected today of 72°.
A bit draggy this morning, as we are babysitting the grand dog, which, of course the wife wanted to have in bed with us along with our dog, so I guess you didn’t get much sleep last night. I woke up at 3 AM with a border collie paw in my face And a French bulldog laying across my leg. Oh, I can’t wait till Sunday till the bulldog goes home.

I believe intervenous coffee is what I need right now!

Thing that kills me is I just had it serviced last week. The fixed a couple of recalls, changed some gaskets and replaced the plugs. The engine couldn't take it
One of the “recalls” should have been installation and programming a knock sensor that would reduce power and make the check engine light flash instead of allowing the engine to simply grenade while driving.
I think the code would be p1366.

Ice/sleet/snow/sleet/ice yesterday and last night now needs to be cleaned up before noon today. It looks like about 7” of accumulation out there. The daughter‘s house 2 miles to the south of us has ice and maybe 2” of snow per the son in law. This is the 4th Thursday in a row that the local schools are closed or switched to online learning. I am not looking forward to fighting with this mess.

Today is finish up some weathering projects and continue the one with the locomotive. I am told a trip to Walgreens is needed, dinner is out and then a play. A new version of Jesus Christ Superstar that supposedly is a darker more ”vivid” version. Whatever the heck that means.

My HyVee Pharmacy sent out a email yesterday explaining the Ozempic diabetes medicine shortage in our area. They can get the drug just don’t figure an overnight fulfillment of the order. Allow 3-5 days. Ozempic as we have discussed is still not approved as a weight loss drug. The side effect of diabetics and users (like me) using it is weight loss. But doctors have a way around it and are doing so for the folks that can pay the price. This diabetic thinks that’s pretty f..king sad

off to play in the ice/snow

My refill of Jardiance was delayed a few days I suspect for the same reason. I agree, it's flippin sad! Good thing I still had some!

Have fun in the snow/ice!

Kia Hyundai and Genesis. I think those are the 3 Korean Brands that are related. It's obvious to me that Genesis is their top brand... But between Kia and Hyundai, which is Chevy and Which is Buick?

I see some pretty hot Kias, like the Stinger. So I would assume that Kia is Chevy, Hyundai is like Buick, and Genesis is the Cadillac.
