Usually, we're all pretty good, but once in a while we need to be reigned in a bit. I don't like doing it, and probably let things go longer than I should. Sometimes I even am one of the guilty parties... I have to yell at myself in a mirror when that happens.
It is a coffee shop as mentioned earlier and hopefully we can maintain some adult decorum with the discussions…..I know I enjoy reading all of the opinions for sure. A lot of important topics are always discussed here by some pretty knowledgeable people in my humble opinion.

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those who wrote posts, but deleted them in a moment of sanity

It's Troy again

Nothing new to report... well, two things.

Woke up with tinnitus flaring (a side effect of the acid reflux meds I've been on forever.). Even though I've got Jazz on the main sound system, the laptop is on Youtube for a Tinnitus Blocker vid. earbuds are in, and I'm listening to the surf crash. Listen along if you're trapped far from the seas.

Second. I'm missing one of my zeros

I know when it went AWOL. I was fussing on the paint desk, moving stuff. The type where both hands are full, and there is stuff in the way, so I balanced more than I should have in one hand to reach the offending item type of clutzy move.

I keep a small hairdryer for drying paint quickly. It was plugged in and stretched over the area where the planes were on their sticks waiting for dullcoat. I remember the cord kicked something. I retrieved a pen or marker from the floor but didn't notice the missing zero right then.

And my trash bin was out from under the desk.

AFTER I took the trash out from the hobby basement, including the well-used kitty litter, was when I noticed the missing plane.

Yeah... probably the best of the paint jobs... but, I'm not digging through kitty litter to find him. Sorry little pilot. I'll just 3D print another zero for the next batch.

So, back to the cafe. Coffee and oatmeal this morning. got to get the cholesterol down a few notches before I meet the new doc this summer. Old doc moved on to an admin role.

I agree, but in a coffee shop, usually anyone involved in a convoluted debate is invariably found somewhere in a corner, in a forum, a seperate thread would be more approprite.

Yes, just don’t know if I want to part with a $50 bill for it, it’s why they say it’s an expensive hobby though….I will focus on more track for now.
Make the flipping thing, sure your kids/grandkids have a toy horse they won't miss. 😂
That is one of the reasons I got a 3D resin printer.

I just don't care for the quality of people models in N-Scale. Although my layout may eventually be decorated with Orcs and Trolls, and some of Le Emperor's finest grognards around a WWII airstrip...

Good Morning All. Clear skies and 37° out here on the farm. We're looking at highs around 70° for a few days, lows in the lower 40's.
I have an 8:00 am dental appointment today for routine teeth cleaning, so I will be brief this morning.

Thanks to all who commented on or liked the additional action poses that I posted yesterday; James, Smudge, Karl, Chad, Gary, Dave B, Patrick, Hughie, Sherrel, Mikey, Curt, Louis, Lee, Tom, Tom O, Guy, IB Ken.

I had a short adventure in the train shed yesterday. Figure painting was the only actual modeling. I did do some general maintenance of the room, vacuuming the floor and finishing up on the structure cleaning that I slowly started last month.
Since I haven't a clue what to post, I'll post a few structures that I have built but are not yet on the layout. I still have a full 1/3 of my area with just track running through and no scenery.

I know where most will go, but I am trying to get some other areas finished up first.

George - While I can afford $7000 more model RR stuff, I really don't have room for it! I could make the train shed bigger, but I feel that I am at the limit of what I could maintain in the future.
Re: Tankers - On the BNSF line near me, they use four bay covered hoppers. An engineer acquaintance of mine told me that they were filled with cement. I remember seeing it for at least 40 years now, back when the line was still ATSF. He also has told me that they can't have an open load of pipe next to a tanker, even if it is on a bulkhead flat car.
Hughie - Good luck with the well.
Joe - A properly installed septic system is practically maintenance-free and costs next to nothing to operate. I do have to mow more often above the lateral lines though!
I always appreciate your recollections of life on the railroads. It certainly helps me operate in a more prototypical manner.
Curt - Good luck fighting that bug or whatever ails you.
Sherrel - Your post seems to have gone AWOL, and I don't remember what ails you; but get well soon.
Lee - Echoing Tom, how do they get the grain in containers?

I know that he didn't post anywhere that I know of, but I did see that Guy was lurking yesterday.

Everybody have a great day. Stay safe and warm.

Septic tank maintenance free? Mine was 6 years old when I had to replace the pump system, $2000. A few years later the pump panel had to be replaced. Had to have it pumped out twice now by Virginia law and operator said it was the easiest system he's ever done. Well maintained. I live by myself so it doesn't get all the stuff that most tanks get.

Good Morning!
I did see that Guy was lurking yesterday.
Yes, Willie; I have lurked for a-bit while recovering from that nasty bug that we must learn to live with. All I really want to say about it, is that I am very thankful I chose to get full vaccinations. If not, I believe I would have been in it very deep.
Now, seven days into it, I'm in recovery.

I believe I picked up the virus while shopping in the local Canadian Tire big-box store. The G-kids and my son are clear of it, so I contracted covid after I took care of the kids for 1 month. - Today, I live isolated from my wife, who remains negative. I'm taking every precaution so as not to spread it any further.

I'll come back into the shop later, when things are right and I've taken some photos of train and hobby related subjects. Until then, I am a lurker.

Have a good one!

I love those Classic Metalworks cars. Not much metal in them anymore, but they are very well done.
