Too late now. I think the Mets were right to only offer three years.

Regardless of the length I was disappointed. Coby Mayo hit 307 with 5 homeruns in September and his defense at 1B was steadily improving! I thought Coby could develop into an elite first baseman. Pete is a subpar first baseman.

Now we have two at 1B and two catchers. Who is the DH and who is the odd man out? They are all everyday players. More trades are coming. I'm hoping they move Coby back to 3B.

Todd - Scary times in Libby with the rain and flooding. How much rain actually fell? We have gotten 10"+ several times that caused creek flooding in my neighborhood, but it is usually over with in a couple of hours. The Corps of Engineers flood control lake across the road from me is downhill, so it just catches whatever falls on my property and the higher ground behind me. I've seen it go from 26 acres to over 400 acres in just a matter of hours!

Willie: I think that I read we have had 11" of rain in the last 1.5 Months. Good thing it is not cold or we would be tunneling to get anywhere. Last time of more than 8ft was '96/97 but we were not here then. Most we have seen is 5ft.

Guessers say another atmospheric river to come through Monday/Tuesday. Still warmish ( 47 day, 39 night ) so probably just rain. Wednesday is another story. Hope; said with tongue in cheek, that river does not delay!

Good afternoon folks, 44 here and rainy. LadyC made a delicious late breakfast/early lunch, and I am working on the second pot of coffee. I think I finally have this bug on the run, but still not completely over it. Plans for today probably will include a Wallyworld run, it's cool here, so I'll wear my warm pajamas! Went to lunch at the Steak House of Logan's today

While there, I guilted the wife into making cut-out cookies today by showing her the baking going on via this forum.


I did have to tell her I'd run the vacuum (normally that's her chore) if she made the cookies.

And she informed me that we'll be watching the Rankin Bass holiday specials on Christmas eve. Since we don't do family gatherings that day, it's usually adult beverage and tv time.

Nothing gets her in the mood for shenanigans like Rudolph and the Heat Miser!

Good afternoon. I've returned from my bi-monthly trip to my no-longer local HS. I needed to get some MT trucks/couplers for a 12 pack of Aztec boxcars I picked up last month, and some 2004s for an engine I received recently. The drive is now 90 minutes each way...
I see no time has been wasted Adjusting prices of Micro-Trains inventory. The last 10 pack of trucks/couplers I bought was $52.99, it is now $72.99 with a 10% discount pre-applied.
I may get some more before everything starts rolling in from Vietnam. My brother was a Vietnam war vet, and I only "missed out" by a few years of the same, so I feel about anything coming from that country the same way my parents (father a WWII vet) felt about anything from Japan. I have returned several items that were made there, that wasn't disclosed before I made the purchase.

Same thing for Kadees. Last 50 pack I bought I paid around $40.00 for them. Just bought another pack a month or so ago and the price had risen to $60.00.
