Good morning.

Todd pretty well covered the flooding situation here in Libby, No sense getting more into it. There is a boil water warning for those of us on city water. If you go to YouTube and search "Flooding in Libby, MT" there are numerous videos. I did go out yesterday but didn't wander far. Went to the Empire Foods marker, Drug store across the street and the credit union down the street from me.

Willie - Glad to see that you're home and getting better. I have had doctor and hospital bills trickling in and may have to start a go fund me page. I have a phone meeting with the oncologist this afternoon to get chemo set up here in Libby I guess. I was totally debt free but this may put a big dent in what I was planning to give to my kids.

RhB Michael - Many moons ago I helped a friend who was modeling the Milwaukee Road Rocky Mountain Division and I spent months building towers for the catenary, which was operating when we got done. I had made just about 150 of them using a jig. Didn't mind installing the towers, but was very happy that I didn't have to put the overhead wire in. Worked great when it was finished.

Time to get lunch going so I will dive into the archives.

Willie might recognize a few of these buildings.

Later

I've had those in my yard. One waddled over from the neighbor's yard one day and before I saw it, Lisl von Schlaf saw it and decided it was an intruder and dispatched it straight away. Poor thing.

A few days later, his friend came waddling over, but I stopped Lisl before she could advance upon the poor thing. I saw him again around a week later, but he hasn't been back since.

They aren't very fast, they can't see very well, and they're not aggresive. They do dig holes in the yard looking for grubs and bugs, but they are mostly docile, curious creatures.
They both haunt my yard with their digging. Armadillos favorite food is fire-ants, with red-ants close behind. They are hard to trap since they only eat what they dig up themselves. But they can be tricked into running into a trap. They are quite blind.

Possums on the other hand will root through my compost pile and can be trapped more easily with dog or cat food. I can't locate any pictures right now, but I know that I have them. I release all of them next to a wooded ATV park about 10 miles away.

My Possum encounter a couple of years ago. Sugar followed mom & the kids down the neighbors side yard.

Since it's train season I'm in building mode. I'll probably sell this one at the swap meet in February. I don't have room on the layout, but building is very therapeutic for me.

Blair Line fertilizer plant. I left the auger tube & unloading screen for the person that mounts it.

Good afternoon. The sidewalks are cleared of ice. But I used the last of my 3 year old 10# bag of ice melt. I know I used only a cup on the front porch the last 2 snow seasons. Farm and Fleet will have it ready for pickup in another hour. Right into the trunk, my way to shop!

The Badgers ranked 9th overall in volleyball did beat Sanford ranked #5 in Austin, Texas this afternoon, 3-1 sets. Sets 2, 3 and 4 were close but set 1 the Badgers blew them away! Take on #2 overall Texas Sunday with a time to be determined. I watched the Texas game played before the Badger game and Indiana gave them a tough time in each set but lost 3-0. A couple weeks ago the Badgers really blew Indians off the court. Texas destroyed Wisconsin the 1st week of the season so Sunday should be interesting. I do think the Badgers take Texas deep but playing on the Texas home court sort of separates the teams. At a neutral site I think the Badgers win, but in Texas, I don’t think so

The grandson and family are in Green Bay this weekend for his hockey tournament. They went skating at the Packers rink and across from their hotel

Picture is sideways and I cannot change it, sorry

Army-Navy Game offers Baltimore chance to shine!
‘America’s Game’ returns to M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday for first time since 2016

“America’s Game” will pit Navy (9-2) — ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press poll — against the Army Black Knights (6-5) in the 126th installment of the annual rivalry game Saturday at 3 p.m. Airing nationally on CBS, the contest will provide a football fans a break from the drama-filled College Football Playoff race and spotlight the blend of tradition and ceremony only Army-Navy can provide.
It appears that there are more folks on the field than in the stands.
I'm guessing that field formation represents computer chips on a pc board? Rather unique.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To prove to the possum it could be done!
That is funny, but also full of truth.

Like many nocturnal animals the Possum is blinded by headlights. Unlike other animals they freeze in the middle of the road! When driving in God's country I can seldom go over 25-30mph. Any faster and I may not be able to stop when coming around a corner or cresting a hill.

Fortunately, I don't suffer with road rage, but I have been known to cause it. I don't care who I piss off, I'm not killing an animal!

I suspect the photo was taken during pre-game activities.
I was on dish duty.
No wonder, she was a busy lady, amazing!
