Home sweet home, at last. Everything seems to have gone OK, the two groin incisions are not bleeding and I am in no pain except for the sore throat from having some tube stuck in there. I'm on "light-duty" for a week or so, nothing heavier than 10#. Shouldn't be too much of an issue since I brought in heavier logs yesterday and just have to replenish the medium sized ones for now. Wife can bring some in as well.
Received my $20 check for last week's jury duty in today's mail. That'll buy some beer. I'm going to head for the train shed in a few minutes, if my wife approves! It may be too long a walk for this soon.
See y'all later.
Heart or Butterfly?

Glad you made it safe.

Tom, I too have a column in the basement that I need to disguise. Can't wait to see you pull this off!
This is a big pillar 9” wide x 19” deep and floor to roof which explains why he couldn’t move it when he started the layout.

He also ran a bunch of wiring up one side to power the second and third decks above the paper mill. The walls of the power plant will be removable as they will attach to the pillar by magnets

Good morning! It's Friday, 27°F and a chance of heavy snow. Have a good day!;)

Good morning all. A cold, wet day.
Flo. A large coffee please, and one of those sticky buns. Some laundry to attend to.
Hopefully I shall be in the train room this afternoon.
New nameplates arrived yesterday. Lady Victoria, Lady Adelaide and Lady Edith will be riding the rails. 🥰
(Should I rephrase that?) 🤣

Good Morning All!

Well, bunch quieter this am, still can hear the creek but way softer. Only one kid went to ER. He happened to be on the Libby Creek bridge ( Farm to Market road ) at ~0645 on his way to work when one end collapsed. Was able to grab some rebar to keep himself from going in the water and broke hand/wrist. His car on the other hand was found 1/2 mile downstream. Almost got to the Kootenai River. Heard that from 2 people in different places so it carries some weight. Have not heard about any house/business/buildings getting flooded. The bridge over Flower Creek on US2 between Rosauers and Ace was closed for a short time yesterday with water over the hiway. The Granite Creek bridge is completely gone. Just heard a BNSF horn, so they are operational. So we have 3 or 4 bridges that need fixed. Gonna be a PITA getting around for some folks. Have a friend a tad South of Libby getting calls just before midnight yesterday wanting to use her pasture for animals that are/were in the low areas. She had quite a crowd of horses/cows/goats and pigs. Apparently they all got along together. News reports that NW Oregon and Western WA had the start of the atmospheric river which got us along with points between.

So went to the local watering hole late afternoon to hear all the stories. MoD was:

The bridge washed out. I don't know if I will ever get over it!

Sick, right?

That is one of my photos of the Lionel Christmas Zephyr, my Zephyr running on my family room Christmas layout no less!

Anything you post online become fair game.

Enjoy your day Everyone!
