Ahhhhh....

This is starting to sound like it will become "Troy letting the magic blue smoke escape" from the various parts of the circuitry if I try a home repair.

Fortunately, I saw this little beauty from Audorama for $189

I ordered it through Amazon so they can pay the shipping for me. Should be here on Monday.

If it sounds like the old one isn't something I want to try to not let the blue smoke out of, I've got a buddy in Indy who likes to refresh old audio gear. I'll pass it to him.

I wouldn't sweat three or four caps, but I do recommend having the schematic to find your way around the CB.

I recapped this VOX AC50 CP2 amplifier back in May of this year. It is nearly 20 years old and was doing the same thing your subwoofer is doing now. In addition to the power supply board caps, I replaced every cap on every circuit board including the bias caps. It was about a week long job and much tedious desoldering.

Good morning all, it's 36 and sunny here this morning. I've been fighting a low-class bug for a couple days, but feeling better today. Gonna take the Missus Attack Shopping later today, I will relax in the car with a good book while she does that. Hope you guys all have a great day.
Prayers for Willie

Boy, we are having fun now!

SR56 is closed at mm16 ( North to Eureka ) - not sure why. Might be cuz Big Creek dumps in the river about there.
Granite Creek bridge is down. Side road but some folks stuck.
Libby Creek bridge is down Farm to Market road. Another way out ( the long way ) so far.
Libby Creek bridge is also down on 'Haul Road'. Back way ( along the tracks for the most part ) to Fisher River road and junction with SR56.

Down from our property about 1/4 mile. Normally 6ft less for creek.

High Line now closed. 500 year flood alignment - have about 2 ft to go. They are worried about the abutments....That is below our place, almost to where it dumps into the Kootenai.

All the 'normal' small creeks in the area ( lucky if you got your tennis shoes wet ) are now overflowing into pastures, fields. Did not see any housing threatened.

Other bridges and hiways closed; not in this area. Almost went to Troy to have a look at 'Lake Creek' but didn't.

Bridges: I forgot to add. Last time our bridge had water that high ( ice in that case ) the bone head County guys decided to run a bucket loader to clean up the ice and keep the bridge intact. All well and good - except they forgot about cutting a channel below the bridge and near 100 houses flooded between the bridge and river. Hiway 2 was also closed along with Ace and Rosauer's.

The BNSF bridge washed out at that time also; was a timber trestle at that time. The new concrete one you see in the pix got installed.

I'll be going in myself in a few weeks. I had a PET Scan 2 days ago and when I was leaving the nurse said, stay away from small children for a while. With that, when I got home, I took out my Gieger counter and it lit right up. They told me to drink a lot of water. Tested myself again in the morning and the reading were back to normal. SWal

I had a PET scan once and they found a German Shepherd Dog Velcro'd to my leg.

Home sweet home, at last. Everything seems to have gone OK, the two groin incisions are not bleeding and I am in no pain except for the sore throat from having some tube stuck in there. I'm on "light-duty" for a week or so, nothing heavier than 10#. Shouldn't be too much of an issue since I brought in heavier logs yesterday and just have to replenish the medium sized ones for now. Wife can bring some in as well.
Received my $20 check for last week's jury duty in today's mail. That'll buy some beer. I'm going to head for the train shed in a few minutes, if my wife approves! It may be too long a walk for this soon.
See y'all later.

Glad to hear you're home and feeling well enough to think about heading for the shed.

Behave yourself!

Does Texas pay you for mileage too, or just a flat fee, or are you that close to the courthouse?

When my wife went a couple weeks ago she ended up with $53.00. $10.00 for showing up and the rest was for mileage.
