I need the printer to scan forms
I'm glad you/your son got it working. My son is my go-to computer tech as well.
I've been praying all is well with you, how are the dogs?

I'm glad to see your post, you made my day!
I should ask for heart-shaped or butterfly?
Go with the clean look, it makes you look younger. Although I found it itches when it grows back.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Not all bald "kitties" are attractive.

This one is cute.

Well, half of my lower left molar is missing. Been feeling some pain while eating on that side and when drinking ice water, which I do all the time. It may have broken off a few days ago, just didn't realize what had happened and when I ran my tongue over it today, got some sharp edges sticking out.

Luckily, I was able to get an appointment with the dentist tomorrow. She fixed my lower right molar with a crown when that one cracked off over 15 years ago.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wishing Willie a smooth shaving experience. I'm in camp butterfly, but you do you.

It's Troy again

LOUIS: Your cat looks like it should be saying "Dobbie is a Free Elf!"

In other news, I need a break from holiday music.

Each morning I turn on the TV box and head to Youtubz for some streaming jazz with a pretty background image. And for the last month I've been listening to holiday music that way.... All day long. Just quiet background stuff to drown out the tinnitus.

This morning I didn't just hit the first recommendation in the feed. The algorithm is all about holiday music right now. I had to back out into my channel subscription list, and then do a lot of scrolling in one of the better ones to get down to this one.

Again, it's just gentle background music to help keep my mind off the dental drill that is constantly whining in my ears.

Today's plan is to tear apart the subwoofer and get a new power supply ordered.

Then I'm going to paint some more little abyssal soldiers. Since I sold off that army, I decided to order ahead on yet another army. Keeping some of the hobby money in the hobby part. Now I've got some goody-two-shoes paladin knights types on order. I'm sensing a Monty Python style theme with these guys. Fortunately, I have the STLs to print off the black knight, as well as King Arthur and his trusty steed Patsy...

Here's the subwoofer. All the help figuring this out is appreciated. I have No idea what I'm doing. I just know that electrons go in and thump-thumps come out.

The issue: the sub emits a low groan, a constant deep HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM after being powered on for about 10 minutes.
I tested it after letting it cool down, and unplugging ALL audio sources. Just the wall power coming in. Same problem

Suspicious part #1. If he were sitting in a bar, the ladies would be covering their drinks...

Suspicious part #2: More covered drinks. I don't like the looks of that brownish connector in the upper right, but he could be a nice guy.

When it comes to electrics, I have no idea what the other settings on a multimeter do. I just check voltage with it to make sure my outlets are off at the breaker panel before I take cover plates loff.

Good morning gang!

29° under cloudy skies with a high expected of 40°. However, when I look at the hourly breakdown of temps for the entire 24 hours fan, there’s a problem. The highest I see any particular hourly temp is only 35. Where did they get 40?

I’ll never understand how weather forecasters can keep their job. If I was wrong that many times I’d be on the street.

AI says:
When It's Likely the Subwoofer Itself:
  • Heat-Related: Since it happens after 10 minutes, heat is stressing a component. This points to the internal amplifier or its power transformer.
  • Faulty Unit: If troubleshooting fails, the internal amplifier or transformer is likely failing and needs professional repair or replacement.
Action Plan: Start with the simple isolation steps (unplugging sources, checking power). If the groan persists after these, the issue is likely internal to the subwoofer, suggesting repair or replacement is needed.
