Back again to add to the prolific speed this thread moves at!

Christmas shopping is the order of the day per the wife. We just about get a package a day on the front porch so I asked what have all those been for? The answer basically was don’t worry about them we need something fun for everyone now. The practical useful gifts have been ordered!

So the grandson besides his soccer and hockey loves slot car racing. I found neon race courses for the wall of his slot track room.
Based on sizes and pricing I’ll keep looking or move on

Something for the back wall. Going to look for F1 car pictures next

That is a very nice tree.

I remember having a real tree in Germany when I was a boy. We used to put something called 'angel hair' on them in Germany. I think it was some kind of colored fibreglass, but not sure. Never used it once getting to the States. In fact, we had an aluminium tree with a color wheel back in the 60s.

Well the courtroom drama is over at least for me. After a lot of get up and go wait in the hallway, they seated a jury without me. The case was an intent to distribute methamphetamine case. I got eliminated because I knew a young man, son of a close friend and friend of our family, who overdosed (Quaaludes) and died about 25 years ago. They decided that I couldn't be objective. Probably correct assumption. Didn't get home until after 2 and I've since had lunch and a nap. I think that I was also eliminated because despite hearing aids, I had to ask the DA and the judge to repeat stuff.

Willie - Here in OR once you hit 70 you can permanently opt out of the jury pool. Are you able to do that in TX?

I just checked my summons # in the system and I have to report tomorrow morning.

I saved up my model railroad magazines to take in and read. No phones, no tablets allowed in the courthouse. So my library of books I want to read officially eliminated.

Also, my tinnitus is back up to the 8 level (out of 10). Going to be interesting if I have to pull a Willie and ask for stuff to be repeated.

I found things to do today in spite of the snow. Laundry and lunch was number two and number one, and then hit the train room. I finally repaired a catenary bridge light that'ss been out for about a year, and then planted an extra street light I'd been hanging onto as a spare. I put it near the loading ramp at Happy Cow.

I also removed the bases from the flocked Walmart conifers and drilled proper holes to plant them. They aren't as bad as I first thought. I did not put in the gravel road yet, but maybe tomorrow.

Good evening folks, hit a high of 39F today and then kept slowly dropping, along with freezing rain. Closed the shop early because it was starting to get icy on the roads. I will never get chosen for a jury being retired law enforcement. Hope you all have a good night, stay warm!
