Another Sunday of one-sided NFL games.

Washington took a beat down from Miami. 37-3 The game was never close therefore not at all entertaining to me.

Now I'm watching the 49ers beat the Eagles. It's 42-19 at the two-minute warning. It was a good game, until the Eagles could not stop the 49ers' offense.

Either I am getting old or don‘t really care that much about NFL Sunday, I forgot it was Sunday. Terry tells me the Pack plays tonight against Kelce and Taylor, so I think the Chiefs are in GB tonight

Went to the Badger Women’s hockey game this afternoon and they lost for only the 3rd time on campus since 2018. #6 Duluth just outplayed the #2 nationally ranked Badgers

Packages that were to be delivered today per the USPS email report this morning have not shown up.

One package has a weathering client in an uproar! Mailed from Missouri to Verona, Wi. Friday it was out for delivery in Midlothian, Texas, Saturday it was back in Missouri. Today it’s in Midlothian, Illinois. Client did not insurance a $300 diesel beyond the normal $100 first class. I told him stop tracking it as it’s driving him nuts. Told him if it’s not to me by Wednesday night I will text him and he then can file his claim. I also told him I know there is no street name like mine in Midlothian, Illinois as I worked at the private country club there from age 12 to 17 caddying and 17 to 20 running the bag room. That didn’t make him feel any better…

Time for the last of the pumpkin spiced muffins Terry made. She made eighteen and I have only had 2 with this being the 3rd one. The daughter’s family got the rest…

Good morning, all!

December is upon us, and the year is slipping away. I have one more outdoor task to complete before winter. I still have the gutters to clean. Looks like tomorrow is my window of opportunity. Looks like rain on Sunday.

Currently a Cold rainy day, time to get the track laying crew busy.

Have a safe day everyone!
I forgot to do this…and the window is closing….

And the Cardinals Won, and the Panthers moved closer to the top draft choice.GB looked good, in beating KC. GB is also on the Nice list for beating the Callous Doughboys.

Morning all,

30° and clear, going for a high later of 54°. Above normal for this time of year.

Finally had time to get to a corner in the master that had some issues. Ended up taping the corner, so needs at least another coat drywall compound.

Another Christmas song for you....

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin. Sunrise is at 7:12 or about 29 minutes from when I started typing this. High 39f degrees which will melt the slushy white stuff on the non road surfaces. Too dark yet and the clouds are blocking out the moon but this feels like the start of a gloomy day.

Post office run at 8, then groceries and a fill up at the gas station. ⛽️ We saw a price range of $2.79 to 2.99 per gallon on the drive to and returning from campus yesterday. Gas for me will be $.01 per gallon due to fuel saver rewards from the grocery. I already have over $4.00 per gallon in rewards so there will be a carry over of rewards beyond the $2.99 per gallon pump price. I will fill my car and the daughter’s SUV up to a total of 25 gallons. Probably 11 gallons for me and 14 for her.

The Badger women hockey lost 2-3 yesterday and were just out played. But dinner out after was great.

An odd happening over the weekend. I finished weathering 3 diesels for a first time commission. The client received the in progress pictures as I moved along and I received his approvals. The 6-8 week lead time is at 6 weeks this week and he has known I planned to ship this week. He asked Saturday if I would ship them out and he’d pay in January. That’s a big no! He is an angry person when he doesn’t get his way and I could literally feel the venom in his text messages. I saved all communications with this guy so when he files a claim with PayPal of some made up excuse I have proof of whatever he’s trying to pull. It’s been a strange last 3-4 months of weathering. I understand the economy is bad for the working person but this one takes top prize so far. He offered no reasons other then mail them now and I’ll pay later…

Enjoy the day

Stick to your guns Tom. If this guy really want to pay you then he will find a way!

Good Morning All. Clear and 39°, heading up to maybe 62° later today. High yesterday was 72°. We'll be up and down over the next 10 days, upper 50's to the upper 70's if the weather geeks are to be believed. No snow forthcoming. This is somewhat normal here for this time of year.

I am not real big on early holiday decorations, I don't usually start until 12-15, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and we put a Christmas wreath up on the door yesterday.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I ran trains and cleaned up white metal castings. Here's the completed ones.
IMG_1036.JPG

Still have these left to do.

Those stone columns are somewhat difficult.
It's actually going quicker than expected. I should finish today and get them washed and primed before starting on the next step.
I failed to post a "completed" picture from the kit box yesterday, here it is.

As I posted, I will not be making it square as shown because my space is bigger. I will be leaving off the fence on the backdrop side and using the extra to expand on the other sides. I already have a couple of extra accessory packs of headstones from Woodland Scenics as well as another whole cemetery kit, and I will intermix them to provide some variety.

Sherrel - So glad to read that all is well on the health front.
Karl -
All that activity yesterday really stiffened up my back and hips, damn ladder!
You're not as young as you once were. I figured out around age 65 that I needed to allocate more time and not be quite as aggressive with projects/tasks as I once was. Ladders (higher than 8') for me became a no-no when I reached 69, wife's orders and common sense.
Hughie - What surprises me the most about Texas drivers and the snow, and it shouldn't because I've seen it all my adult life; is these hotshots that think pickup trucks are invincible. Without some weight in the back over the rear axle, they just don't track well. I never had a problem commuting 100 miles a day even in the snow because I drove a front wheel drive standard transmission Honda Civic for over 40 years. Downshifting makes excellent brakes on slippery roads. But you probably already know this.
Was yesterday's post of Santa and the train another of those AI generated pictures?
Tom O - Re: only time client. Maybe send one now and hold the other two until payment is received. If he is truly financially strapped, that seems like a fair compromise.

Everyone have a great day today.

Tom O Meet the guy half way (not). Tell him to pay now and you will post in January.
My policy on weathering is fairly clear. I hold the items until a Paypal payment is received. Plus, I send pictures of the progress of the weathering job and ask for thoughts on them. He along with other clients are told my expected shipping shipping dates roughly 2 weeks prior.

I’d have had no problem holding shipping until January or February or even shipping 1 at a time. With the vicious text messages I got there is no compromise now. I am guessing he’s had a bad weekend and will wake up to the stupidity of his actions.

Never had anything like this happen before and hopefully never again.
