Good Morning All. Mostly clear and 38°, back into the 60's today, maybe 70's tomorrow. The forecast is for warmer days upcoming except for Monday, which will still be above 60°.

While it didn't rain much Thursday, it took nearly all day yesterday to dry out. No wind. I finally got my dose of sunshine after 3:30 and clipped brush and branch tips off part of my pile of trees, to make it easier today to use the chainsaw. Today might just be a laundry day. I also have a dishwasher full of clean dishes to attend to this morning.

Thanks for the comments on the trim, Sherrel, Hughie, Curt, Joe.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I completed the other six window sets. I have temporarily put black or white paper in the windows while I look for my stash of paint store paint swath's that I use for generic interiors. Sadly, I just got about a half dozen more from Home Depot just two weeks ago, and can't remember where I put them.

While waiting for paint to dry, I assembled another small kit that I recently discovered while cleaning.

You can already see one of the TV antennas in the apartment pictures above. The mailboxes are getting painted next and will be planted in the next day or two. The mounting poles are too long, but I will trim them to get to USPS height regulations, 41"- 45".

Sherrel - I am not sure that waiting around is called for with blood in the urine. I've never been to an urgent care facility, so I have no judgement of them. The ER may be your best option.
Todd -

Minor point, but I had posted "this century", the fifth game was last century.
Good luck with the pellet stove, winter is coming soon. What is DMM??? Oh wait! Winter has already hit you if it is snowing. While we have had dustings in November, it is rare. According to my gardening almanac, I got a bit over 3" in 1976, November 13, my first ever garden planted earlier in the spring. I think that it was a record for November. Last one was a dusting on 11-30-2006.
Grizzled - Welcome. Don't worry about stepping on any toes here in the Coffee Shop. Nice workbench setup.
Joe - Thanks for the comment on the color selection for the walls/window trim. I count my blessings that I still have a steady hand, and can still paint details like that. I have also eliminated climbing up on the roof or close to it. Wife's orders.
Mikey - That's quite a haul of vehicles. Have fun with the Jordan kits.

Everybody have a great Saturday and a wonderful weekend.
Willie: DMM - Digital MultiMeter. Sometimes you can find folks that have VTVM's or a straight VOM. Vacuum Tube Volt Meter and Volt Ohm Meter have analog displays; think panel meter. I have used VTVM's with nixie tubes - made ya dizzy watching the thing transition running through all the digits to get to a reading. That was high end and spendy at the time.

As for the white stuff - this is to continue into Monday. Guessing at the rate it is falling, we probably will get 2 feet.

Happy Saturday! I'm not sure what mischief I will get into between now and dinner, but the train room will be the location. It's 51° and Foggy. A miserable day that feels a lot colder than 51°, probably because it's so damp.

Villanova leads Youngstown State, in the Second Round of the NCAA FCS Championship series. 21-10. On ESPN+ right now. Villanova Men's Basketball @ 2PM in the Pavilion, Drexel visits Nova in the Big 5 Series...Nova would be undefeated. The Big 5 Teams (UofP, and St. Joe), are the only ones to beat them so far this year. Caps play in Vegas tonight.

Good Morning All!
30F @ 84% and snowing.

Welp, it ended up being the PoF ( Proof of Fire ) microswitch/thermistor. Have one coming in from Amazon to be here by the 6th. So I will run the stove in the 'go low' mode where it does not completely shut down. Uses a bit more pellets but beats going out and starting it a couple times a day to keep the lower level warm.

Well, I found the cause of the Check Engine Light, PO 442. = Small leak detected in the EVAP System. (Gas Cap, worn hose, or charcoal canister) No big deal, it's derivable until I get it in for service. Th only time I ever did anything to this car since we bought it was replace the battery - it's in the trunk! I check the oil, and fluids too, but that's it.
That could be you opened the gas cap with the engine running. Clear the code and see if it comes back on.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wondering where Willie puts stuff that he loses?

It's Troy again...

Still working on the online store. Mucking through the admin parts takes too long, because I don't like the admin parts.

A few weeks ago, I reminded the wife she wanted to learn how to do acrylic paint pours. Told her that I had been watching videos on youtubz and it looked easy.

This morning, she told me we were going to Michael's Arts and Crafts. $45 dollars later, she had a project. And I was informed I was to be her gopher/stupid-visor.

I'm good at stupid-vising.

Bought a ten-pak of 8x10-inch canvases, and a bunch of paint. I figured she wanted to try one and get a feel for it.

Three canvases later...

Mix acrylic paint with glue, thin with water, and pour. She added a couple of drops of silicone oil to each color to make the cells. We'll have to clean the silicone off before we gloss coat them.

had a thick cut pork chop and MacNCheese (aka Kraft Dinner) for supper.

I'm about to have a glass of bourbon.

Good Evening All. A less than stellar day today weatherwise. Partly clear turned into fog, and then rain which wasn't in the forecast. That shut down outdoor projects. Then after lunch, it cleared up, sun came out and it eventually went up to 64°, higher than the forecast. Not enough time to dry everything out, but the sunshine was welcome.
I found out which neighbor irrigated the neighborhood and flooded my front yard Thursday, Bubba and Michelle; who are out of town on a week-long camping trip. They have a down on his luck friend who's been staying there for a few months, who didn't know why there was no water pressure, and went to work as normal on Thursday morning. Bubba's dad, also a neighbor, saw the water gushing up out of the ground Thursday morning as he drove by and called the water company. The tenant meanwhile, shifted over to a different neighbor's home for the duration. Bubba himself will fix the leak when he returns; friend will help, dad will stand around and supervise. After all, he is 78 years old.

Have a good night.

Inaugural voyage around the new section. Need to defiantly need to drop some feeders. I'm using an NCE wireless DCC system. this section is so far away from the nearest feeder and the command station, I was getting erratic operation.

Best part, I ran it a dozen times and seems to be no track issues.

Good evening fellas!

Today was the last go round for the fall leaves. A nice day, temps in the upper 50s. I cant tell you how many times I went up and down that damn ladder but now the rain gutters are leaf free!, Then blow all the leaves from around the house and the shed and the trees themselves, before saddling up the Deere with the lawn sweeper attached. I also did the next door neighbors front yard too since her was cutting his leaves up with the mower and some were blowing into my yard. After that time to get all the Christmas stuff down and set up the inflatables in the front yard.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring. Maybe rain, but some say no.

FedEx got a bit ahead of themselves today. At 7:30 tracking was calling for the package from Rapido, ordered Thursday night, would be delivered before 8 pm today. That's funny, because as of 9:45 this morning it was just leaving Markham, ON, CA. Tracking now show that is on the way but delivery time has been changed to Pending.
My money is it might get here Wednesday the 6th. I swear if they EVER get a delivery estimate right from the start I may fall over dead!
just started a new project to close in a 14x14 screened porch. Next project is to convince my wife to move the layout from the dusty non-climate controlled garage into the new space when it is done.
Good luck with that!

PO442 is one of those P.I.A. codes for several reasons. #1 a small evap leak is hard to pinpoint without a smoke machine and a very bright light. Usually its a poor cap seal, a sticking evap solenoid or a pinhole in a line. #2 Part of the problem is the self test usually only runs once in an ignition cycle. You literally can take the fuel cap off with it running, and not set a check engine light if all the parameters that must be present for self test don't exist. (Temp, rpm, load, time) So if the light does not come back after you clear the code, give it a week or two for it to decide to do a self test. If it stays out, you're good, if it comes back, time to call out the big guns with a scan tool/laptop and a smoke machine.

CYA!

Willie- What is wrong with being 78 years old? I do not have to stand around and watch, although I am pretty good at it!

I had a good afternoon watching college football. I was watching the Alabama - Georgia SEC championship game which Bama won.
At the same time, the Sun Belt championship game between Application State and Troy University was being played. My grandson is a freshman at
Troy, so I had to switch back and forth between both games to see Troy win, too. Both were exciting games.

And Miami Won the Mid Am Conf title, yeeeeah!

Simple job, leave my yard at 21.00, go to Manchester Airport, (53 miles), pick up 13 passengers at 23.30 return to Derby, drop off, back to my yard and home, simple, ETA home approx 02.00, I have literally just walked into my apartment, reason, 3 jack-knifed trucks on a hill 30 miles from home seems we English still haven't learnt how to drive in Snow, admittedly 5" in less than 4 hours is more than we normally get around here, and to top that off, my usual journey time from work to home is 20mins, it's just taken me 1 1/2hrs to travel the 8 miles.
I'm going to bed now seeing as it's 07.45.

G'nite. :)
